Last updated: September 8, 2026 — this guide is updated with every new official confirmation until the show opens.
EICMA 2026 opens its doors to the public from November 5 to 8, 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho, preceded by the press and industry days on November 3 and 4. It is the 83rd edition of the International Exhibition of Two-Wheelers and, as every year, most of the attention is focused on a single segment: maxi enduro, crossovers, and Adventure motorcycles. The 2027 motorcycle models we will see in Milan range from the possible Yamaha Ténéré 900 to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750, from the BMW M 1300 GS caught in spy photos to the Chinese adventure bikes that continue to lower the entry price.
This guide lays out everything that is actually known, explicitly distinguishing what is official from what is a rumor. No invented technical specifications: where a detail has not been disclosed, we say so.

Yamaha: the November 2 conference and the Ténéré 900 case
Model not announced (Ténéré 900 hypothesis)
Status: presentation confirmed, model not disclosed
What we know. On August 26, 2026, Yamaha issued a press invitation for Monday, November 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in Milan: the evening before EICMA’s trade days open. The invitation refers to a new model intended to redefine the standard and claims that the industry has followed the same rhythm for long enough. The attached image is an electrocardiogram trace with three peaks.
That is all Yamaha has communicated. There is no name, no displacement, and no silhouette. The word “Ténéré” was never mentioned.
Why everyone reads “three cylinders.” Three peaks on a trace representing a rhythm lend themselves to only one immediate reading: three combustion events, therefore three cylinders. The interesting detail, however, is not the number but the spacing. The intervals between one peak and the next are not equal, and that changes the meaning of the message: the 890 cm³ CP3 that Yamaha has used for years in the MT-09, Tracer 9, XSR900, and YZF-R9 has a crankshaft offset by 120° and evenly spaced firing intervals. An uneven-firing three-cylinder would instead be a new engine, with a logic similar to Triumph’s T-Plane: torque pulses spaced apart, giving the rear tire time to regain traction between one power phase and the next. Exactly the CP3’s historic limitation on dirt.
What we expect to see. If the interpretation is correct, the most logical candidate is a larger Ténéré than the 700, while retaining its off-road focus — meaning a 21-inch front wheel — and producing around 115–120 hp, putting it up against the Triumph Tiger 900, the future KTM 990 Adventure, and the Honda Africa Twin. But the irregular engine also opens up other possibilities, from a large-displacement crossover to a completely different architecture.
The risk. The real technical issue is not power: it is weight and balance. The Ténéré 700 is loved precisely because it is so essential. A Ténéré with fifty more horsepower and the electronics from the MT-09 risks becoming a different motorcycle, not a bigger sibling. We will find out on November 2 at 6:00 p.m.
We devoted a complete technical analysis to the teaser and its implications: Yamaha Ténéré 900: what the teaser really says about EICMA 2026. For those who already own a Ténéré 700, our 9 best upgrades for traveling and the accessories for Yamaha Ténéré 700 collection remain relevant.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: the Salone's strongest confirmation
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750
Status: confirmed
What we know. It is the only Adventure model on this list for which there is a direct statement from a company executive. Royal Enfield CEO B. Govindarajan identified EICMA as the venue for the debut of the new 750 cc twin-cylinder platform, after a still-rough prototype had been displayed in Milan the previous year, enclosed in a crate open on one side.
What changes. Over the following twelve months, the motorcycle appeared in public twice in a configuration very close to production: at the Himalayan Base Camp in Ladakh and in Brazil, in the latter case with tubeless cross-spoked wheels and knobby tires. At the same time, sightings were reported near Royal Enfield's technical center in Leicestershire, involving a bike with no visible wiring or data-acquisition instrumentation: the panels, lights, switchgear, and finishes were already production-grade.
Engine. Royal Enfield has confirmed the architecture — a 750 cc parallel twin — without releasing power and torque figures. According to rumors, it is an evolution of the 648 cc unit that powers the Interceptor, Continental GT, and Super Meteor, bored out and revised internally for adventure-touring use. Estimates circulating suggest power above 60 hp, but this is not an official figure.
Versions. According to the information available so far, the Himalayan 750 could arrive in multiple variants: a more road-oriented version with alloy wheels and a more adventurous one with a larger front wheel. These are theories consistent with what has been seen on the prototypes, not confirmations.
Equipment. Recurring reports include ride-by-wire throttle bodies, riding modes, cruise control, and a circular TFT display with navigation. None of these features has been officially confirmed.
Why it matters. Because it moves Royal Enfield from an accessible niche brand to a manufacturer occupying the heart of the European adventure market—the segment where the Honda XL750 Transalp, Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE, BMW F 900 GS, and Triumph Tiger 900 currently compete. And it does so with a cost structure that none of those brands can replicate.
Ideal audience: those who want a genuine touring motorcycle that is mechanically simple, without paying the premium for high-end electronics. For those who already have a Himalayan, the Royal Enfield Himalayan accessories collection brings together compatible protection and mounting equipment.
BMW Motorrad: the M 1300 GS is the real news
BMW M 1300 GS
Status: likely
What we know. In late July 2026, a German photographer captured a prototype covered by a tarp near BMW’s development center in Munich. Its level of maturity is the interesting part: the M logo appears on the wheel rim, and the left valve cover features Motorsport colors. Details like these are not put on an early-stage test mule.
Wheels and chassis. The images show Metzeler Karoo knobby tires on a 21-inch front wheel (the 90/90-21 marking can be read by enlarging the shot) and an 18-inch spoked rear wheel. This is the detail that overturns expectations: in the BMW world, the letter M has so far meant on-road sportiness—M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, M 1000 XR—whereas here it indicates a GS pushed toward serious off-road riding.
Engine. According to reports, the 1,300 cc boxer remains essentially the same as the R 1300 GS: 145 hp and 149 Nm. The most widely accepted theory is that the focus is on weight—with premium materials, a titanium exhaust, and revised bodywork—rather than power. Some sources speculate that the M may forgo the larger tank from the R 1300 GS Adventure in favor of the standard one, to keep weight down and improve its distribution, and that it may do without the front and rear radar systems. These are interpretations of spy photos, not BMW statements.
Why it matters. Because for the first time, the flagship GS would not be the most highly equipped, but the most capable off-road, competing directly with the KTM 1390 Super Adventure R and Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally. And because a lighter GS with a 21-inch front wheel is exactly the motorcycle a significant number of GS riders have been asking for for years.
The complete analysis of the spy photos is here: BMW M 1300 GS, spy photos confirm the third GS.
BMW R 1300 GS model year 2027
Status: likely
What changes. Alongside the M, a second covered prototype appears in the same images. According to the German press, it is the updated R 1300 GS. The engine, suspension, and wheels do not appear to differ from the current model: it would be a mid-cycle update focused on appearance, with a light-colored finish never before seen on the model. The same photos make the possibility of an R 1350 GS as early as 2027 less likely, as that would fall outside Munich's usual boxer renewal cycle. We have collected everything known about the subject in BMW R 1350 GS: what we know today.
If the rumors are confirmed, from 2027 the large-displacement GS family would comprise three versions: updated R 1300 GS, R 1300 GS Adventure, and M 1300 GS. For those who already own a GS, we have preparation guides for the R 1300 GS and R 1300 GS Adventure, along with the BMW R 1300 GS accessories and BMW R 1300 GS Adventure accessories collections.
The middleweight: F 450 GS and the F 600 GS project
Status: F 450 GS already in the range — F 600 GS: rumor
The F 450 GS is not new to this show: BMW unveiled it at EICMA 2025 and brought it to the test rides at the EICMA Riding Fest in Misano in May 2026. A 420 cm³ parallel twin producing 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm, with Easy Ride Clutch, 21"/17" wheels, an 860 mm seat height, and a 13-liter tank. It is the entry point to the GS world for A2 license holders, produced in India with TVS. Our complete specifications are here.
Above it, spy photos of a new middleweight twin-cylinder enduro have been circulating for months. The press calls it the F 600 GS, but the project still appears to be in an early phase and there is no confirmation. We discuss it in BMW F 600 GS: what we really know.
ZXMoto 820X: the Chinese crossover that changed its role
ZXMoto 820X
Status: likely
What we know. At EICMA 2025, ZXMoto presented itself with a complete range, from the 820RR superbike to the four-cylinder 500 models, including an adventure prototype called 820ADV. Nine months later, the same bike reappeared in Chinese type-approval documents under the definitive name 820X, with a configuration that clarifies its true ambitions.
What changes compared with the prototype. The two stacked headlights have been replaced by a pair of side-by-side lights beneath a much larger fairing; the tank, front fender, and handguards have been redesigned; beneath the engine is an aluminum skid plate with a decidedly more robust appearance. The frame, suspension, and braking system, however, appear unchanged.
Engine. 819 cm³ inline three-cylinder engine, which ZXMoto says it designed entirely in-house and which is also used in the 820RR sportbike. In the adventure bike, it receives a milder tune: 85 kW, approximately 116 hp, with a type-approved top speed of 220 km/h.
Chassis and wheels. 19-inch front wheel with 120/70 R19 and 17-inch rear wheel with 170/60 R17 tires. Wheelbase is 1,575 mm. This choice defines the bike: more road-focused crossover than specialist adventure bike.
Weight. 218 kg in the simplest configuration, rising to 235 kg with side panniers and an aluminum top box, which have also passed homologation.
Expected availability. According to preliminary reports, it will be unveiled first in China, followed by its international debut at EICMA 2026 and a market launch in 2027. ZXMoto has not officially confirmed either the dates or the European price.
Competitors: Triumph Tiger 900, Suzuki V-Strom 800, Benelli TRK 902 Stradale, Voge DS900X. Character: sport touring with light off-road capability. Our dedicated profile is here.
Hero Xpulse 421: the Indian adventure bike targeting Europe
Hero Xpulse 421
Status: likely
What we know. Previewed as a concept at EICMA 2024, the Xpulse 421 was spotted several times during testing in 2026, most recently in Ladakh, on passes above 5,000 meters, alongside a fleet of Xpulse 210s and the Hero MotoSports team's rally bike competing in the Dakar. The level of camouflage remains heavy, but the visible components are production-spec.
Engine. Newly developed 421 cm³ single-cylinder engine, liquid-cooled and paired with a six-speed gearbox. Hero has not released power and torque figures.
Chassis. Steel trellis frame, upside-down forks, monoshock, spoked wheels with a 21-inch front wheel. Features seen on the prototypes include a color TFT display, full-LED lighting, and a navigation-device mount.
Expected availability. World debut expected at EICMA 2026, with the Indian launch scheduled for early 2027. Hero has not announced an official date.
Why it matters. Because the 400–500 cc segment is growing fastest in Europe, driven by the A2 license and a less muscular approach to travel. The Xpulse 421 would go head-to-head with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure, and CFMOTO 450MT, all already well-established motorcycles available at dealerships.
KTM: the 990 Adventure is ready, but the stage is uncertain
KTM 990 Adventure
Status: rumor
What we know. Spy photos of the new 990 Adventure have been circulating for over a year and show a motorcycle that is now essentially finalized. It is the successor to the 890 Adventure and revives a significant name, that of the twin-cylinder bike that raced in the Dakar in the mid-2000s. The engine is the approximately 947 cc LC8c parallel twin in its latest evolution, the same base used by the 990 Duke naked bike (123 hp in that application), adapted to the needs of a travel enduro.
What changes. It abandons the 890's angular shapes in favor of a more conventional design, with an integrated windscreen and compact headlight. The photos show a new banana-shaped swingarm that wraps around the exhaust header—a consequence of a redesigned exhaust system with a larger, lower muffler—and a new rear subframe that streamlines the tail. The wheel configuration remains 21"/18".
When. No official date. KTM tends to unveil new models shortly before the start of the season, so the most plausible scenario remains a presentation in spring 2027, with a possible Milan debut. It should be remembered that the Austrian company is emerging from a complex restructuring phase and a change of ownership to Bajaj, which has already shifted the launch schedule several times.
Next-generation KTM 790 Adventure
Status: rumor
Spy images show a 790 Adventure that is unrecognizable compared with the current model: new bodywork, a redesigned tank, revised chassis, and the same technical platform. Development is also mature here, but there is no confirmation yet of the presentation venue.
What already exists. The 1390 Super Adventure in its S, S EVO, and R versions arrived at dealerships in early 2026: the LC8 twin-cylinder engine enlarged to 1,350 cc with CAMSHIFT variable valve timing technology, 173 hp at 9,500 rpm and 145 Nm at 8,000 rpm, an 8-inch vertical touchscreen TFT display, and a valve-clearance inspection interval of 60,000 km. Our analysis is here: KTM 1390 Super Adventure: what to expect; for outfitting, the KTM 890 Adventure R accessories and KTM 790 Adventure R accessories collections remain valid, as does the guide KTM Adventure crash bars: how to choose well.
Benelli: six announced new models, two are Adventure models
The two new Adventure models with 21"/18" wheels
Status: generically announced by the brand
What we know. Benelli told the Italian press that it will bring six new models to EICMA 2026, including two Adventure models with a 21"/18" wheel setup: one with a 450 cc engine and another with approximately 790 cc, the latter still awaiting confirmation. This is the first time Pesaro has announced a number before the show, and it comes after the separation of the industrial paths of Benelli and its subsidiary QJ Motor.
Why it matters. Because until now, the TRK range, which has driven the brand's success, has stopped at 19"/17" wheels. A 21-inch front wheel means that Benelli is entering the territory of off-road-oriented adventure bikes for the first time—the territory of the Yamaha Ténéré 700, Aprilia Tuareg 660, and KTM 890 Adventure R.
The starting point. At EICMA 2025, Benelli had presented the TRK 902 in two variants. The Xplorer features 19" and 17" tubeless spoked wheels with M+S-approved Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, an aluminum skid plate, protective bars and a standard center stand, 215 mm of ground clearance, and an adjustable windscreen; the Stradale uses 17-inch wheels. Both use the 904 cc Euro 5+-compliant twin-cylinder engine producing 95.2 hp and 90 Nm, a 20-liter tank, Marzocchi suspension, Bosch electronics with a bidirectional quickshifter, independently switchable ABS on both axles, traction control, cruise control, and TPMS. Optional equipment includes a trio of aluminum cases, a dash cam, and a rear radar with blind-spot monitoring. The TRK 902 Stradale is priced at 8,790 euros.
Honda: the supercharged V3 and the Africa Twin hypothesis
Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor, production version
Status: likely
What we know. Honda showed the V3 engine concept at EICMA 2024 and the working prototype of the naked V3R 900 E-Compressor at EICMA 2025. It is a liquid-cooled 75-degree V3 with a 900 cc displacement, topped by an electronically controlled compressor: an unprecedented solution on a production motorcycle that allows boost to be controlled independently of engine speed. Honda claims performance comparable to that of a 1,200 cc engine.
Why we expect it in Milan. In March 2026, design drawings were filed with the Australian intellectual property office and made public in mid-July, showing a motorcycle very close to the prototype but with production-spec lighting, mirrors, turn signals, and all the features required for road homologation. Honda has not announced any dates. The likelihood that the final version will appear at EICMA 2026 is considered high by the specialist press, but it remains a prediction.
Africa Twin with a V3 engine: why people are talking about it
Status: rumor
What we really know. In 2026, Honda filed patents extending the application of the electric supercharger beyond the V3: the architectures illustrated include a flat-six, a V-twin created by removing one cylinder from the V3's front bank, and a parallel twin. The latter is what sparked the speculation.
Why the picture is more open than it is being portrayed. The frame designed alongside the parallel twin resembles that of the NC750X, and nearly all interpretations have focused on that model. But patent drawings protect an idea; they do not depict a product: what Honda is safeguarding is the system's application to an engine configuration, not to a specific model. And in Tokyo there is more than one parallel twin: the other is the 1,084 cm³ engine of the CRF1100L Africa Twin, producing 102 hp at 7,500 rpm and 112 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
The two possible paths. For the next Africa Twin, two opposing scenarios are circulating: the classic evolution of the parallel twin toward a larger displacement, or a switch to the supercharged V3. The figures being reported — around 125 hp, 125 Nm and 210 kg in adventure configuration — are not official and should be understood as press projections. Honda has confirmed nothing, and it should be remembered that a supercharger fitted to the Africa Twin is an idea that has appeared in the company's patents since 2023 without ever reaching production.
In the meantime, the current range remains one of the strongest in the segment: our guide to which Africa Twin version is really worth choosing compares the standard and Adventure Sports models, with the Africa Twin accessories and Africa Twin Adventure Sports accessories collections. For the mid-displacement class, there is the Honda XL750 Transalp accessories collection.
Moto Guzzi The Trip: the first Guzzi without a transverse V-twin
Moto Guzzi The Trip 457 / The Trip 500
Status: rumor
What we know. For months, sightings have circulated of a Moto Guzzi prototype with a 457 cc parallel twin derived from Aprilia's engine — the same one used in the RS 457 and Tuono 457 — mounted in a tubular steel frame, with a side-mounted shock absorber on the right and chain final drive. In June 2026, the Piaggio Group registered the trademark «The Trip 500». Production would most likely not take place in Mandello but in Baramati, India, where the Aprilia 457 models are already assembled.
Why we mention it here. Because the test mule spotted on the road seems aimed at a traditional, touring-oriented character rather than an adventure crossover with off-road ambitions, and because its possible touring version would be the first A2-licence-accessible Guzzi in decades. Debut expected at EICMA 2026, with sales starting in 2027. Nothing official.
What is already in the range. The Stelvio remains Mandello's adventure offering: a 90° transverse V-twin displacing 1,042 cc, producing 115 hp at 8,700 rpm and 105 Nm, with shaft drive and an electrically adjustable windscreen as standard — a unique combination in the category — plus the PFF Rider Assistance system with front and rear radar, integrating Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Information, and Lane Change Decision Aid, with adaptive cruise control available as an option. For 2026, Climbing Gray and Hiking Green color schemes were introduced.
The one that has not yet revealed its cards
An honest guide must also say when there is nothing to say. As of September 8, 2026, there are no primary sources indicating Adventure novelties at EICMA 2026 for these brands.
Ducati
The DesertX has already been renewed: presented in preview form at EICMA 2025, revealed in detail in February 2026, and at dealerships from May. It features the 890 cc V2 with IVT variable valve timing, 110 hp at 9,000 rpm and 92 Nm at 7,000 rpm, a 46 mm Kayaba fork with separate hydraulic adjustment on each leg, 230 and 220 mm of travel, progressive rear linkage, an 18-liter polymer fuel tank, and a weight of 206 kg without fuel. 21"/18" wheels. There are no indications of any further adventure novelties for Milan. Collections: Ducati DesertX accessories, DesertX Rally, Multistrada V4.
Triumph
The most concrete signal is an absence: the color update released in mid-2026 does not include the Tiger 900 or Tiger 1200, which generally foreshadows a model refresh. Hinckley, however, has an established habit of presenting new products outside major shows, so their presence in Milan is far from certain. Collections: Triumph Tiger 900 accessories, Tiger 1200.
Aprilia
The Tuareg 660 — 659 cc, 80 hp at 9,250 rpm, 70 Nm at 6,500 rpm, and an 18-liter tank — remains in the lineup, also in Rally form, having won the Africa Eco Race twice. Rumors are circulating about a higher-displacement Tuareg and an entry-level version with the 457, but there is no corroboration from primary sources. Collection: Aprilia Tuareg 660 accessories.
Suzuki and Kawasaki
No verifiable previews on the adventure front. There is talk of a renewal of the V-Strom 1050 for Suzuki, but without solid evidence. Collections: V-Strom 800 DE accessories, V-Strom DL1050, Kawasaki Versys 1000.
The other Chinese brands
CFMOTO, Voge, Kove, QJMotor, and Zontes will almost certainly be in Milan with their biggest stands ever, but at present none of them has filed type approvals for new adventure models destined to make their European debut, as has happened with ZXMoto. The current ranges are already widely available: CFMOTO 800MT-X accessories, CFMOTO 450MT, Voge 900DS, Voge 800 DSX Rally.

Does EICMA 2026 confirm the Adventure boom?
The short answer is yes, but not in the way the segment has grown over the past ten years. Looking at the list of expected new models, three movements are clear.
The return of the 21-inch wheel
For years, maxi enduros have pursued comfort on asphalt, moving toward 19-inch wheels and road-oriented setups. The new models for 2027 are heading in the opposite direction: BMW is bringing a 21-inch wheel to the GS's most prestigious version, Benelli is adopting it for the first time, KTM is confirming it on the 990, and Yamaha — if the Ténéré theory is correct — would retain it on a bike with over 110 hp. It is a repositioning: the touring maxi enduro is a mature product, and growth is being sought where the motorcycle becomes a dirt bike again.
The mid-displacement engine as the new center of gravity
Hero with the 421, Benelli with a 450, BMW with the F 450 GS already in the lineup, Royal Enfield with the 750: the center of gravity is shifting downward. The reasons are practical before they are philosophical — the A2 license, insurance costs, the weight to manage on a dirt road — and they coincide with a younger audience and with markets, India above all, where most demand is below 500 cc.
Technology is divided in two
On the one hand, rider-assistance radar systems — which Moto Guzzi has fitted as standard on the Stelvio with the PFF, which KTM offers on the 1390 range, and which Benelli even offers as an option on a motorcycle costing €8,790 — are rapidly becoming cheaper. On the other hand, the most radical innovations concern the engine: Honda’s electric supercharger and, if confirmed, a Yamaha three-cylinder engine with uneven firing intervals are attempts to achieve the performance and torque of a larger engine while reducing size and weight. It is downsizing, but applied to a segment that had previously been subjected to downsizing rather than choosing it.
The Chinese factor is no longer just a promise
The €6,000–€10,000 price range now includes the CFMOTO 450MT and 1000MT-X, QJMotor SRT 700, Zontes 703F, Kove 800X Pro, Voge DS800 Rally, and DS900X. The ZXMoto 820X, with an in-house-designed three-cylinder engine derived from a motor that races in the World Supersport Championship, raises the technical bar even further. A word of caution is needed on pricing, however: Chinese prices do not carry over to Europe, because Euro 5+ homologation, tariffs, logistics, and VAT alter them substantially, and ZXMoto has not yet announced European pricing.
What this means for buyers
That 2027 will be a year of more difficult choices, not simpler ones. Those looking for pure touring already have excellent options at dealerships today and no urgent reason to wait. Those looking for serious off-road riding, on the other hand, would do well to reach November patiently: between the M 1300 GS, 990 Adventure, the new Yamaha, and the Benelli 21/18 models, the maxi dual-sport category could change considerably within twelve months.
Preparing a maxi enduro for travel: the accessories that really make a difference
Whatever motorcycle leaves Milan, the touring setup always follows the same logic: first, what prevents damage; then, what makes it possible to load up; finally, what makes the hours in the saddle bearable. In that order.
Load capacity
The first choice is between hard aluminum cases and semi-rigid bags. The former offer better protection and can be locked, while the latter weigh less, do not increase the bike’s overall width, and in the event of a fall do not act as a lever on the subframe. We wrote about this in how to choose motorcycle cases: aluminum or semi-rigid and in how to choose semi-rigid adventure cases. The catalog is organized into cases for adventure, enduro, and touring motorcycles, side cases, and tail and saddle bags.
Crash bar bags: the space nobody uses
They are the most underrated complement to a large enduro. They occupy the gap between the skid plate and the tank, keep weight low and close to the center of gravity, and are the right place for tools, cables, and spare parts needed quickly. You can find them in crash bar bags; for those who want volume that disappears when empty, there are inflatable bags.
Protection
On a 220–250 kg motorcycle, a low-speed fall is enough to break an engine cover or radiator. The priority order is crash bars, radiator protection, headlight protection, and instrument protection. Handguards are also worthwhile on the road, not just against branches: the aluminum bar on Barkbusters is what saves the brake lever.
Auxiliary lighting
Adventure bikes' stock headlights have improved greatly, but they are still tuned for asphalt. A pair of auxiliary lights mounted on a specific mount completely changes nighttime riding on dirt roads. A comparison of the models is available in best motorcycle auxiliary lights 2026, while the range for systems managed by a control unit is DENALI Electronics.
Navigation and mounts
Using a phone as a navigator on a vibrating motorcycle will break it: you need a mount with damping, not a clamp. The collection is motorcycle phone mounts, and the choice between a phone, a dedicated navigator, and a display with CarPlay is discussed in motorcycle navigator: how to choose one and in best smart displays with CarPlay and Android Auto.
Comfort
It is only the last item in assembly order. On a long trip, the right kickstand, a seat cover that does not heat up, and a correct hand position matter more than twenty extra horsepower. There is only one official sales channel, ticketseicma.it.
What new motorcycles are expected at EICMA 2026?
In the adventure segment, the main expected launches are the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 (confirmed by the CEO), the Yamaha new model announced for November 2, the ZXMoto 820X, the BMW M 1300 GS, the Hero Xpulse 421 and the two new Benelli Adventure models with 21"/18" wheels.
Which Maxi Enduro bikes will be presented at EICMA 2026?
The only certainty is the 750 cc Royal Enfield platform. Yamaha has scheduled a presentation without saying which model it will be. The BMW M 1300 GS and KTM 990 Adventure are at an advanced stage of development, but their debut venue has not been confirmed.
Which new Adventure bikes will arrive in 2027?
Based on the information available today: the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750, ZXMoto 820X, Hero Xpulse 421, the new KTM 990 Adventure, the two Benelli models with 21"/18" wheels and, in all likelihood, the BMW M 1300 GS. Most of these models are expected to go on sale during 2027.
Which crossovers will be presented at EICMA 2026?
The most concrete example is the ZXMoto 820X, with 19"/17" wheels and a road-oriented setup. Another possibility is a Moto Guzzi with a 457 cc Aprilia engine, which, according to some sightings, may have a more touring-oriented than off-road setup.
What is the difference between a crossover and a maxi enduro?
The most reliable distinction is the front wheel. A maxi enduro has a 21-inch rim, often spoked, with suspension travel exceeding 200 mm: it is designed for off-road riding and accepts a compromise on asphalt. A crossover has a 19- or 17-inch wheel, more limited travel, and road-oriented geometry: it is designed for asphalt and accepts light off-road riding. Engine displacement is irrelevant: the 819 cc ZXMoto 820X is a crossover, while the 420 cc BMW F 450 GS is a road enduro.
Will BMW present new GS models at EICMA 2026?
BMW has not confirmed anything. Spy photos from late July 2026 show two covered prototypes—the M 1300 GS and what would be the updated R 1300 GS—at a stage of development consistent with a presentation in the near future. Some sources speculate that the facelift could debut as early as September 2026, with a commercial launch of the M in spring 2027, but these are assumptions that have not been independently verified.
Will Honda present new Adventure bikes at EICMA?
There are no indications of a new Africa Twin. What is likely is the debut of the production version of the V3R 900 E-Compressor, which is a naked bike: its importance to the Adventure world lies in its engine, not the motorcycle itself.
Which Chinese motorcycles will be present at EICMA 2026?
The presence of Chinese manufacturers is now firmly established: CFMOTO, Voge, Kove, QJMotor, Zontes, and ZXMoto have been exhibiting for years. The only new Adventure model with technical documentation already filed is the ZXMoto 820X. As of September 8, 2026, there are no public homologations for new Adventure models from the other brands intended to debut in Europe.
Which Maxi Enduro bikes are most eagerly anticipated for 2027?
In terms of technical interest and potential market impact: Yamaha's new model on November 2, the BMW M 1300 GS, the KTM 990 Adventure, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750. The first three because of what they promise to do off-road, and the fourth because of its balance of features and price.
Which Adventure bikes are best for traveling?
For asphalt travel with luggage and a passenger, aerodynamic protection, range, seat comfort, and load capacity matter more than power. The Moto Guzzi Stelvio, BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, KTM 1390 Super Adventure S, and Benelli TRK 902 Stradale are built around this type of use. Among the mid-size bikes, the Honda XL750 Transalp and Suzuki V-Strom 800 offer a highly practical balance.
Which Adventure bikes are best suited to off-road riding?
Those with a 21-inch front wheel, long-travel suspension, low weight, and switchable rear ABS. Today, that means the Ducati DesertX, Aprilia Tuareg 660, KTM 890 Adventure R, Yamaha Ténéré 700, Kove 800X Pro, and CFMOTO 800MT-X. In 2027, the list could grow with the BMW M 1300 GS and KTM 990 Adventure.
Which accessories should you choose for a maxi enduro?
The priority order is protection, luggage, lighting, navigation, and comfort. First, crash bars, radiator protection, and handguards; then panniers or semi-rigid bags, with the addition of crash bar bags for low-weight storage; then auxiliary lights with a dedicated mount; then an anti-vibration smartphone mount or a display; comfort items come last.
When will the EICMA 2026 new models be unveiled?
Most world premieres are unveiled on the days reserved for the press and trade professionals, November 3 and 4, 2026. Some manufacturers hold preview events of their own in the immediately preceding days: Yamaha, for example, has scheduled its conference for November 2 at 6:00 p.m. in Milan.
Do you need to reserve parking to go to EICMA by motorcycle?
No. Motorcycle parking is free at PM1, West Entrance, on the ground floor. Note one practical detail: the entrances are equipped with Telepass and UnipolMove systems, so anyone with a device installed on their motorcycle must deactivate or shield it before entering to avoid automatic charges.
Will this guide be updated?
Yes. Whenever a manufacturer officially confirms a model, the corresponding row in the table changes status from 🔵 or 🟡 to 🟢, and the specification is rewritten with the declared data. The date at the top of the article indicates the latest update.
