Description LOBOO Wanderer BHGB05T Inflatable Motorcycle Bags for Crash Bars – Pair
A gap remains between the engine guards and the sides of the motorcycle that no rigid pannier can use. The LOBOO Wanderer BHGB05T inflatable motorcycle bags adapt to that irregular shape and turn it into useful storage: 6 liters per bag, 12 liters for the pair. The structure comes not from a rigid shell but from the bag itself, which is a sealed air chamber.
How inflatable motorcycle bags work
An inflatable motorcycle bag works opposite to a pannier: instead of imposing its own shape on the motorcycle, it takes the shape of the available space. When deflated, the BHGB05T remains semi-rigid and stands upright on its own, so it is easy to fill and close. Inflated through the integrated one-way valve, it becomes an elastic cushion that fills the gap between the tube and the fairing and secures itself to the bars without play.
The manufacturer states a load capacity of at least 300 kg per inflated bag and a protection duration of at least 6 hours per inflation. In the event of a slide, this volume of air is the first thing working between the bar and the ground. It is supplementary passive protection, not an approved safety device: it does not replace engine guards or protective clothing.
The practical advantage comes at the end of the trip: they deflate, can be stored away, and the motorcycle is back to its clean appearance. There is no permanent bulk every day, which is the main reason to choose an inflatable bag instead of a rigid one.
What fits in 6 liters
Six liters per side is the right size for the things you want within reach without opening the panniers: a puncture repair kit and mini compressor, rain gear, spare gloves, a headlamp or flashlight, documents and a wallet protected from water, a half-liter bottle of water with something wrapped around it. They are the external pockets adventure motorcycles lack.
Their position also makes the compartment quicker to access: standing beside the motorcycle, without removing anything or taking off your helmet.
How to measure the bars before ordering
There is no list of compatible motorcycles, because compatibility does not depend on the motorcycle but on the tube. The LOBOO manual specifies a round bar with a diameter of 25 mm as a requirement, and the mounting system works equally well on irregular, square, or triangular structures.
- Use calipers to measure the outside diameter of the engine-guard tube at the point where you want to mount the bag.
- If you do not have calipers, wrap a tape measure around the tube and divide the circumference by 3.14: a 25 mm tube measures approximately 78.5 mm in circumference.
- Make sure the selected section is clear for at least the width of the bag and that there are no obstructing welds or brackets.
- Check the distance from the exhaust and cylinder heads: the bag must not touch hot parts.
Crash bars are not included and must already be installed: they provide the anchoring structure. If you do not have them, Endurrad offers engine guards and crash bars for BMW, KTM, Husqvarna, Honda, Ducati, Aprilia, and other motorcycles.
Inflatable or rigid: when each is the better choice
An aluminium pannier offers more volume and a shell that protects against impacts and break-ins, but requires dedicated frames, stays on the motorcycle all year round, and increases its width. An inflatable bag costs less, does not require frames if you already have the bars, disappears when not needed, and makes use of space that would otherwise remain empty — but it holds only a few litres and its contents are not protected by a shell.
In practice, they are not mutually exclusive: the BHGB05T is the natural complement to a luggage set, not a replacement for it. If you are instead looking for a genuine, inflatable side volume, the LOBOO range offers the 23- and 30-litre Alps inflatable side bags, which mount on 18 mm side frames rather than on the bars.
Waterproofing, anti-theft protection, and details
- Declared IPX7 rating — TPU fabric on an 840D nylon base and an airtight waterproof zip. The rating is declared by the manufacturer for the complete bag.
- Primary keyed anti-theft feature — a stainless-steel cable passes through the zip slider and the strap eyelet, then locks into the buckle. It prevents the bag from being opened and quickly removed, but does not replace a main anti-theft device.
- Five buckle positioning points, rotatable on its axis to compensate for the angle of the bars from one motorcycle to another.
- Duraflex buckles on the straps and high-visibility reflective inserts on the sides, in the area most exposed laterally.

In the package
Complete pair (1 left bag + 1 right bag), 2 fastening buckles, 2 lock cylinders with clips, 2 keys, 2 M6×10 screws, a 4 mm Allen key, and an owner's manual. Crash bars and threadlocker for the M6 screws are not included.
Maintenance
The waterproof zipper is the component that determines the bag's service life. Always close it with the internal pressure equal to the ambient pressure: closing it while the bag is overpressurized strains the teeth and reduces the seal. Operate the slider by pinching it between your index and middle fingers and pulling it along the guide, and occasionally apply a silicone lubricant for zippers. Rinse with fresh water after use on salted roads and store the bags deflated and dry, without tight folds in the TPU fabric.
Usage limits
- Pre-installed crash bars with 25 mm tubing are required; without them, there is no way to mount the bags.
- The manufacturer does not state the weight, and we do not publish an inferred figure.
- The stated 300 kg load capacity applies to the inflated bag in a static test; it is not a crashworthiness certification.
- The manual included in the package is in English and Chinese; the Italian-translated procedure is on this page.
- Always check that the bags do not touch the exhaust, cylinder heads, or handlebars at full lock, and recheck the fastening after the first few dozen kilometers.

Artificial Intelligence comes to motorcycles: real revolution or mere marketing?
"AI-enhanced", "smart", "neural": the lexicon of artificial intelligence is now everywhere in motorcycle marketing. But how much AI is really on today's motorcycles?
