Mounting. None of the LOBOO tank bags in the catalog attaches with straps. Five models attach magnetically to a ring or flange screwed around the fuel cap; the BTB06 uses magnets directly on the metal tank, while the BTB13BK attaches to the original BMW mounting points.
Waterproofing. None of the seven models declares an IP rating. Rain protection is provided by water-repellent fabrics and the rain cover included in the package.
Motorcycle tank bag: what is it for?
A tank bag solves a practical problem: while riding, you cannot access anything you have put in the panniers or rear bag. The tank, however, is in front of you, accessible when the motorcycle is stationary without getting off or undoing anything.
It is the natural place to keep documents, your wallet, keys, spare gloves, glasses, and a lightweight rain jacket. In everyday use, it means you do not have to open the top case at every stop. On Adventure and Touring trips, it becomes the collection point for everything you need during the leg, while the heavier luggage stays behind.
On an Adventure or Touring motorcycle, luggage is distributed by function rather than piled up: panniers for the bulk, a rear bag for the rest, and a tank bag for what you need while riding. If you are putting together a complete setup, the tank bag complements rear and seat bags and the rest of the Adventure motorcycle luggage in the Endurrad catalog.
Features are not the same across the entire range. Charging cable pass-through, mesh pockets, MOLLE system, anti-theft lock, and document pockets are available only on certain models. You will find them specified model by model in the following section.

LOBOO BTB05BK
The most compact model in the range. Starts at 2.5 liters and expands to 3.5 liters by opening the gusset. Measures 260 × 200 × 100 mm and weighs 450 g empty, made of polyurethane, nylon, and polyester fiber with waterproof SBS zippers. Attachment at 4 magnetic points with safety clips, resting on an adapter ring screwed onto the fuel cap and not included. At least 70 mm is required between the handlebar mount and the cap. Two compartments, cable pass-through hole, reflective strips on both sides; once detached, it can be carried as a waist pack with the supplied strap. Rain cover included, no declared IP rating.
Fixed volume of 3.5 liters, 250 × 190 × 100 mm excluding the side flaps of the base. It is the only model in the range with integrated magnets that attach directly to the tank, without any adapter ring. 12-ounce cotton canvas and PU leather (52% nylon, 27% EVA, 11% cotton, 10% polyurethane), raised non-slip silicone base with opening flaps. Charging cable pass-through, document pocket, webbing handle. Internal rain pocket with waterproof lining and heat-sealed tape; no declared IP rating.
Mounting requirement: works only on ferrous metal tanks. The magnets will not hold on a plastic or aluminum tank.
Starts at 4.5 liters and expands to 6.5 liters by opening the perimeter zipper, a reversible operation that can be performed at any time. 260 × 160 × 120 mm, 700 g without the ring, made of 2520D double-weave ballistic nylon (53% nylon, 47% polyurethane) with custom SBS zippers. Four-point magnetic attachment with 4 spring-loaded teeth on a ring not included, sliding base secured by a buckle. Manufacturer's stated times: 1 second to attach, 2 seconds to detach. The structure is semi-rigid with a shaped upper shell: it retains its shape even when the bag is not full. Four-point magnetic attachment with clips on a ring not included, sliding base with locking buckle, 1 second to attach and 2 seconds to detach. 10 liters, 30 × 36.5 × 21.5 cm, 914 g excluding the flange, made of 1680D ballistic nylon. It attaches to a flange screwed onto the fuel-cap ring, model-specific and sold separately: the magnetic base centers the bag, while four attachment points lock it in place. The tank material does not matter. The base slides by 108 mm using a quick-release lever; at least 70 mm is required between the handlebar mount and the fuel cap. Custom YKK zippers, top MOLLE system, charging cable port, base pocket, and reflective side strips. Rain cover included; no IP rating declared.
Flange compatibility: according to the product sheet, the bag-and-flange combination has been verified on twelve models from BMW, Honda, Suzuki, CFMOTO, and Kove. The list, including the flange code for each model, is provided in the product details.
10 liters dedicated exclusively to the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure: 28.9 × 33.7 × 25.2 cm, 1014 g, made of 1680D ballistic nylon. It is the only model in the range that requires neither a ring nor a flange: it attaches via a bracket to the original BMW mounting points, without straps. It features a key-operated zipper lock and an internal release lock; the key is compatible with LOBOO side cases. YKK zippers, upper MOLLE system, charging cable pass-through, lid pocket, side mesh pockets, reflective strips. Rain cover included; no declared IP rating.
How to read this table. The most useful information when purchasing is not the capacity but the mounting column: it determines whether the bag will fit your motorcycle. Five of the seven models require an additional component purchased separately.
LOBOO tank ring: when you need it
The mounting ring is a flange that replaces the fuel cap ring: unscrew the original screws, position the ring, and screw it back on using the supplied hardware. No drilling required, fully reversible.

LOBOO tank mounting ring
There is no universal ring. The flange design follows the number and position of the fuel-cap screws, which vary from motorcycle to motorcycle: that is why Endurrad offers the ring in 22 versions. Made of aluminium alloy and nylon, it measures 122 × 104 mm and weighs 85 g; the version for the Harley-Davidson Pan America is made entirely of aluminium, measures 147 × 122 mm and weighs 130 g. Because the connection is made to the ring rather than the bodywork, the tank material is irrelevant: metal or plastic makes no difference.
Across the seven models in the catalogue, the mounting system falls into three families. Identifying which one applies to the bag you are interested in is the first check to make.
LOBOO ring: BTB05BK, BTB10, BTB15 and BTB12. The ring must be purchased separately, in the version corresponding to your motorcycle.
Fuel-cap flange: BTB20BK. Same principle as the ring, with a model-specific component sold separately.
No additional component: BTB06, which uses direct magnets on ferrous metal tanks, and BTB13BK, which attaches to the original BMW mounting points.
Brands covered by the rings: BMW, Triumph, KTM, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, CFMOTO, KOVE, Benelli, Moto Morini, VOGE, Husqvarna, QJMOTOR and Harley-Davidson. For brands not included in this list, no documented LOBOO ring is currently listed.
Once installed, the ring stays on the motorcycle: the bag rests on it, the magnets guide it into position and the mechanical lock holds it in place; to detach it, simply lift it. If you have two motorcycles, both equipped with a ring, the same bag can be moved from one to the other without any further steps.
How to choose the capacity of a tank bag
Capacity should be chosen based on what you need to have at hand while riding, not on how much luggage you carry overall. On the tank, volume comes at the cost of visual bulk and interference with the handlebars: a bag larger than necessary is a drawback, not an improvement.

The essentials
Documents, phone, keys and little else. The BTB05BK is the lightest in the range at 450 g and can be carried as a waist bag once you get off the motorcycle; the BTB06 offers 3.5 litres without requiring a ring.
4.5 – 6.5 L · Medium
Mixed use
The BTB10 starts at 4.5 litres and expands to 6.5 by opening a zipper: a compact profile for everyday rides, with extra space for travelling. The 11 cm adjustable base solves interference with the handlebars without giving up the bag.
7 – 10 L · Spacious
Long trips
The BTB15 covers 7 to 9 liters while remaining expandable. At a fixed capacity, BTB12, BTB20BK, and BTB13BK offer 10 liters, with differences in structure, included features, and mounting system.

You need only the essentials and want to take the bag with you once you get off: BTB05BK.
You have a ferrous metal tank and do not want to install anything on the motorcycle: BTB06, the only one that attaches without a ring or flange.
You use the motorcycle both for commuting and touring and want a capacity that adapts: BTB10.

How to check compatibility with your motorcycle
Compatibility is not checked based on the bag, but on the combination of bag, mounting system, and motorcycle. A LOBOO ring that exists for a certain brand does not automatically make every model from that brand compatible.
Identify the make, model, year, and version of the motorcycle. The year matters: each ring covers specific year ranges.
Check the system of the bag you are interested in. LOBOO ring for BTB05BK, BTB10, BTB15, and BTB12; fuel-cap flange for BTB20BK; direct magnets for BTB06; OEM bracket for BTB13BK.
Identify the corresponding ring code on the LOBOO mounting ring product page, where each variant lists the model, years, and code.
Count the screws around the cap if you have a Honda. Some models are available with five- or seven-hole caps, and the two rings are not interchangeable: BTBZJ281 for 7-hole caps, BTBZJ291 for 5-hole caps.
Measure the available space. BTB05BK, BTB12, and BTB20BK require at least 70 mm between the handlebar mount and the fuel tank cap.
Check for interference after installation. Turn the handlebars fully to both sides, with the bag closed and then expanded, and make sure the cap opens and closes freely.
Recheck the fasteners after the first 100–200 km, tightening them in a crisscross pattern according to the torque specifications provided by the motorcycle manufacturer.

Waterproofing and weather protection
Four different concepts are often confused when it comes to motorcycle bags. It is worth distinguishing between them, because they determine what you can realistically expect in the rain.
Water-repellent material: the fabric repels rainwater while riding, but seams and zippers remain potential entry points.
Waterproof construction: the bag is designed as a watertight container, typically with a roll-top closure and welded seams.
IP rating: a certified classification based on standardized tests (IPX5, IPX6, IPX7, IPX8) that confirms a specific resistance to water jets or immersion.
Rain cover: an external accessory that fits over the bag. It provides protection, but is not a structural feature of the bag.
None of the seven LOBOO models available on Endurrad declares an IP rating. The product pages state this explicitly. Protection relies on water-repellent coatings and, on all models except the BTB06, a rain cover included in the package. The BTB06 instead has an internal rainproof pocket with a waterproof coating and heat-sealed tape.
In practice: the fabric holds up in rain while riding; for prolonged bad weather, the cover must be fitted, and it should be fitted before heavy rain starts. If your luggage must stay dry in all conditions, the right choice is a bag explicitly declared waterproof, not a tank bag with a cover.

How do you choose the correct tank ring?
You need the motorcycle's make, model, and year, because each ring's coverage is defined by year ranges. On some Honda models, you also need to count the number of bolts around the fuel cap: 5-hole and 7-hole caps require different, non-interchangeable rings. This check helps avoid a return.
Are LOBOO tank bags waterproof?
No. None of the seven models available on Endurrad states an IP rating. Six of the seven models include a rain cover that fits over the bag and use water-repellent fabrics; the BTB06 instead has an internal rain pocket with a waterproof coating and heat-sealed tape. The fabric withstands rain while riding, but the cover should be fitted for prolonged bad weather.
What capacity should you choose for a tank bag?
It depends on what needs to remain accessible while riding. Can a tank bag interfere with the handlebars?
Yes, and it is the first check to make. BTB05BK, BTB12, and BTB20BK require at least 70 mm between the handlebar mount and the fuel cap. The BTB10 offers 11 cm of base adjustment and the BTB20BK 108 mm, allowing the bag to be moved back if the handlebar touches it when turned fully. What is the difference between a strap-mounted bag and a magnetic quick-release bag?
A strap-mounted bag is secured by routing straps around the tank or under the seat and does not require permanent installation, but the straps can mark the paint and detaching the bag takes longer. A magnetic quick-release bag on a ring requires installing the ring only once, after which it attaches and detaches in seconds. None of the LOBOO tank bags listed by Endurrad uses straps.
Does a LOBOO tank bag work on a plastic tank?
