The Honda Africa Twin 2027 becomes the 1150 and gets a new frame, engine and electronics
It's the most important new release at the show for big-bore adventure touring riders. Honda had previewed it with a teaser, «A new adventure is coming», and today published the official press releases.

The engine: 1,131 cm³, 119 hp and 119 Nm
The Unicam parallel twin retains eight valves but gets bigger: a 94 x 81.5 mm bore and stroke, 1,131 cm³ displacement, and a compression ratio raised from 10.5 to 12.1:1. Honda claims 119 hp (87.5 kW) at 7,500 rpm, 17 more than the CRF1100L, and 119 Nm at 5,750 rpm, 7 more. WMTC-certified fuel consumption is 5.1 liters per 100 km with the manual transmission and 5.4 with DCT. With the standard version's 18.8-liter tank, the claimed range is about 370 km.
The frame is new, and that matters for accessories
The 2027 model has a new 13.3 kg steel semi-double-cradle frame and a lighter aluminum swingarm. Showa EERA semi-active suspension with Skyhook logic is standard on the road-focused versions. The standard model sticks to the classic formula: 21- and 18-inch tubeless spoke wheels with 90/90-21 and 150/70-18 tires, an 850 or 870 mm seat height with a «Minimum» position that's 10 mm lower, and a wet weight of 237 kg (247 kg with DCT).

The standard model is available in Pearl Glare White Tricolour and Matt Sandstorm Beige. Prices and dealership arrival date have not yet been announced.

For the CRF1100L, which remains one of the most popular maxi enduros on our roads, you can find everything in the accessories for Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin collection and the one dedicated to the Africa Twin Adventure Sports. We explained which version of the current generation to choose in our guide Honda Africa Twin: which version to choose.
Enduro Sports and Adventure Sports SENSING RIDE: two Africa Twins built for different purposes
Honda divides the range into four. One version is more off-road-focused than any production Africa Twin before it, while another brings radar to a Japanese maxi enduro.
| Version | Weight with a full tank | Seat | Tank | Wheels | Transmission |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Africa Twin | 237 kg (DCT 247 kg) | 850/870 mm | 18.8 L, about 370 km | 21"/18" spoked wheels | Manual or DCT |
| Enduro Sports | 228 kg | 870/890 mm | 18.8 L, about 370 km | 21"/18" spoked wheels | Manual (in Italy) |
| Adventure Sports | 245 kg | 830/850 mm | 24.2 L, about 480 km | 19"/18" spoked wheels | Manual |
| Adventure Sports SENSING RIDE | 256 kg | 830/850 mm | 24.2 L | 19"/18" spoked wheels | DCT |

Enduro Sports: the lightest and tallest
It’s the real novelty of the range. It has rally-style bodywork, a high fender, a fully adjustable 49 mm Showa fork with 240 mm of travel up front and 230 mm at the rear, 260 mm of ground clearance and a weight of 228 kg, 9 kg less than the standard model. It comes with Metzeler Karoo Street tires, with Michelin Anakee Wild tires available on request, and the quickshifter is optional. In Italy, it’s available only with a manual transmission, in Extreme Red HRC livery. With a seat height of 870-890 mm, it’s not a bike for everyone: it’s designed for those who really ride off-road.
Adventure Sports SENSING RIDE: radar arrives on the Africa Twin
L'Adventure Sports retains its touring formula, with a 19-inch front wheel (110/80-19), a 24.2-liter tank for around 480 km and an 830-850 mm seat height. The SENSING RIDE, available only with DCT, adds two radars and a range of touring-grade rider aids:
- adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function and group riding assistance;
- forward collision warning and emergency braking assist;
- distance control and active speed limiter;
- blind spot monitoring, rear vehicle proximity warning and rear collision alert.
With the 2027 Tiger 1200, there are already two large adventure bikes unveiled for this show with front and rear radar. For those who do a lot of highway riding with luggage, it's the most tangible evolution in the category.
In our article about the November 2 Honda teaser, you'll find the speculation from recent weeks. Today's reveal surpasses them all.

The 2027 Triumph Tiger 1200 drops the 21-inch front wheel and turns to the road with two radars
Unveiled on October 27, it is on display in Hall 5. More power, more electronics and a more road-focused chassis, even on the Rally versions.

The new Tiger’s specs
The 1,160 cm³ T-Plane triple produces 158 hp at 9,250 rpm and 130 Nm at 6,750 rpm, eight horsepower more than the previous generation. Through 2026, Rally models came with 21- and 18-inch wheels and 220 mm of travel. From 2027, all four versions have 19- and 17-inch wheels and 200 mm of travel, with alloy wheels on the GT models and spoked wheels on the Rally models. Bosch radar systems manage adaptive cruise control, assisted emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and group riding assistance. Showa semi-active suspension with HeightFlex lowers the bike by 30 mm when stationary.

Kawasaki focuses on price with the KLE650 and brings the Versys 900 with radar
Two bikes for two audiences: a touring enduro for under €10,000 and a 122 hp road-focused crossover.

KLE650: 70 hp, 21" wheel, and €8,290
The Versys 650’s 649 cm³ twin, updated with ride-by-wire, produces 70 hp at 8,600 rpm and 64 Nm. Its trellis frame is derived from the KLE500. It has 21- and 17-inch spoked wheels, a 43 mm KYB fork with 210 mm of travel, 196 mm of travel at the rear, an 870 mm seat height, and a 16-liter tank. KTM and Husqvarna are saving their off-road surprise for Tuesday morning
The 2027 lineups from the group’s two brands are known. The real new models will be revealed at the conferences on November 3, both in Hall 22.

KTM: few updates to the Adventure models, AMT transmission on just one bike
The 390 Adventure R has a new left-hand switchgear for the optional cruise control. The 390 Adventure X arrives around December with a TFT display and two new liveries, while the 790 Adventure goes all-black. The AMT automatic transmission is available only on the new 1390 Super Duke GT EVO, which also has an 8.8-inch TFT display with offline navigation and SP Connect support; it arrives in early 2027. KTM’s press conference is Tuesday, November 3 at 10:45, Hall 22, stand E08, with an off-road model that has yet to be named. The 990 Adventure remains a rumor: everything we know is in KTM 990 Adventure: what we really know. The differences between the R and X are covered in our in-depth article on the 2027 KTM 390 Adventure.
Husqvarna: Norden 901 in blue and a “special surprise”
The 2027 Norden 901 changes only its color, with a new metallic blue livery: the 889 cm³, 105 hp parallel twin, WP APEX suspension, 21- and 18-inch tubeless spoked wheels, and 19-liter tank remain unchanged. The off-road model announced as a “special surprise” will be unveiled on Tuesday, November 3 at 10:45, Hall 22, stand G11. Details on the Norden are in our article Husqvarna Norden 901 2027.
Moto Guzzi opens the door to A2 license holders, Royal Enfield shows the Himalayan 750 but no figures
Two historic brands, two eagerly awaited motorcycles: one with official specs and no price, the other with official images and no technical data.

Moto Guzzi The Trip 500
It’s the first modern Guzzi without a transverse V-twin. The parallel twin produces almost 48 hp, making it A2-license compatible, and according to inSella is derived from the 457 cc engine in the Aprilia RS and Tuono 457. It weighs 180 kg in running order, has a seat height starting at 790 mm and a 15-liter metal tank. It features ride-by-wire with three riding modes, a 3.6-inch circular TFT display with pictogram navigation, and a quickshifter as an accessory. The price isn’t official: the figure of around 6,000 euros circulating in the press has not been confirmed by Moto Guzzi. It arrives in early 2027.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 750
Official images and key features were released between November 1 and 2, as reported by Indian publications such as BikeWale and Gaadiwaadi: a new platform with a parallel twin of around 750 cc, a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch, ride-by-wire with riding modes, traction control and, for the first time on a Royal Enfield, cruise control. It also features an upside-down fork and Showa shock with remote preload adjustment, tire pressure sensors, a round TFT display with Tripper navigation and five color options, with alloy or tubeless spoked wheels. Power, torque and weight have not yet been announced: they’ll be revealed at EICMA. Read our Himalayan 750: what’s official overview.
Adventure bikes with maxi-bike equipment and prices yet to be revealed are coming from China and Taiwan
Many brands have announced the adventure bikes they’ll bring to Milan, but almost none have an Italian price list yet. This table distinguishes what’s official from what’s only been reported by the press.
| Model | Key specifications | Information status |
|---|---|---|
| QJMotor SRT 800 RX | 799 cc twin-cylinder, 95.2 hp, 21"/18" tubeless spoked wheels, Marzocchi fork, Brembo brakes, 21 L tank, 198 kg dry, 830 mm seat height | Announced by QJMotor, reported by Moto.it and Motorbox; price not announced |
| QJMotor Rino 900 | Three-cylinder, 119 hp, 93 Nm, 19"/17" wheels, 220 kg in running order | Production version announced; price not announced |
| Kove 350 Rally | 349.9 cc, 40 hp, 155 kg fully fueled, 890 mm seat height | Already unveiled in China; expected at EICMA according to inMoto and Motori Magazine |
| Kymco CV-X45 | Adventure scooter with a 427 cc single-cylinder engine | European debut at EICMA (Hall 11, stand E04); other details unconfirmed |
| Benelli TRK 602 X | Successor to the TRK 502 X, in production-ready form | Presence confirmed; specs and price not announced, arriving at dealerships in spring 2027 |
| Norton 450 | Single-cylinder, roadster and urban adventure versions | Rumor: Norton only confirms it will show “the next phase” in Milan |
| Yamaha (three-cylinder) | Teaser with an irregular triple-cylinder beat | Live presentation on the evening of November 2; the Ténéré 900 is a possibility |
How to read these specifications
A motorcycle announced in China is not automatically for sale in Italy: it needs an importer, type approval, and a service network. Before falling for a spec sheet, check who imports it and how many dealers they have in your region. This is also the first question to ask about accessories: without an Italian market, verified compatibility information takes longer to arrive. For Yamaha, see our article on the possible Ténéré 900, which we’ll update with the official details.

Whether to buy accessories now or wait for the show depends on which motorcycle you have
There’s no single answer: it depends on whether your motorcycle changes generation or stays the same.
- Your motorcycle is still in production without frame changes, or is a discontinued model: compatibility is known
- Universal accessories you can find: tank bags with a dedicated ring, 25 mm crash bar bags, smartphone mounts, auxiliary lights
- You’re planning a trip this winter or next spring and want to try everything before the season
- You’re about to order a 2027 Africa Twin, a 2027 Tiger 1200, or a KLE650: crash bars and racks should be chosen for the new bike, not the previous generation
- You need an accessory that attaches to the frame, fairings, or handlebars of a recently updated model
- You want to see the materials and closures of luggage and bags in person at the booth
For a large adventure bike already in your garage, the main things to consider are always the same: carrying capacity with motorcycle luggage and bags, protection with crash bars and handguards, and visibility with auxiliary lights. If you’re unsure whether a part will fit your bike, send us the make, model, and year.
