In brief
The right side stand plate for your BMW GS is chosen by code, not by model name: for the R 1300 GS alone, LOBOO makes three, and for the R 1250 GS another three depending on whether it is an Adventure and the seat height. Check the year, configuration and code stamped on the original stand, then choose the CJC code from the table below.
In the Endurrad catalog, BMW GS plates cost from €22 to €45, attach above the original foot with three M5 screws and require no drilling.
The stand code decides, not the model name
The stand foot varies with the bike, configuration and seat height: for this reason, a plate listed for one GS may not fit the one next to it.

R 1300 GS: three codes and one fused number on the stand
The suspension configuration changes the side stand arm, so the plate changes too.

What a kickstand plate does, and what it does not do
The kickstand sinks because of pressure on the ground, not because of the weight itself.
The physics in one line
Pressure = weight divided by contact area. The stock foot puts the motorcycle's weight on just a few square centimeters; the plate distributes the same weight over a much larger area, while the grooves on the sides and bottom counter lateral sliding on sloped surfaces.
- the problem is sinking on hard-packed dirt, gravel, grass or hot asphalt
- you want reversible installation, without drilling
- the motorcycle remains with its original setup
- does not eliminate the risk of sinking, it reduces it
- does not replace the center stand
- does not correct a kickstand that is too short for a modified setup
If you are also considering a center stand, read center stand or enlarged side stand: how to choose for an adventure motorcycle.
Installation on the original foot in six steps
Sequence deduced from the LOBOO manuals for the codes in this guide; always use the one included in the package.
- Verify that the code on the original kickstand matches the one stated in the product details.
- Check the contents: base, bracket or cover, three M5 screws, 3 mm Allen key or Torx T25 key for the CJC025, threadlocker.
- Position the base under the original foot and the bracket or cover on top: the stock foot does not need to be removed.
- Insert the three screws with threadlocker, without tightening them fully.
- Make the adjustments, then tighten in sequence to the manual's torque: 4 N·m or 5 N·m depending on the code.
- Recheck the screws after the first few kilometers and then periodically, as the manufacturer requires.

The same code logic applies outside the BMW world.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know which kickstand plate my BMW GS needs?
Start with three details: model, year, and configuration (for example, standard or low seat, Adventure version, or adaptive suspension). Then check the original kickstand code: on the R 1300 GS, it is cast in relief on the arm and can be read while the motorcycle is stationary; on the F 900 GS from 2024, it is stamped near the spring. Use the model, year, and code to choose the CJC designation from the table in this guide.
Does the R 1250 GS plate also fit the R 1250 GS Adventure?
No. LOBOO produces separate codes: CJC081 for the R 1200 GS LC and R 1250 GS with standard seat height, CJC072 for the R 1200 GS LC Adventure and R 1250 GS Adventure with standard seat height, and CJC088 for the R 1250 GS Adventure with low seat. The kickstand foot varies by motorcycle and seat height.
Which code should I choose for the R 1300 GS: CJC131, CJC132, or CJC151-CN?
CJC132 is listed for the R 1300 GS from 2023 without adaptive height adjustment; CJC131 for the R 1300 GS from 2023 and the R 1300 GS Adventure from 2024 with adaptive adjustment, only with original BMW kickstand 46531638616. CJC151-CN is listed for original BMW kickstands 4653 5A8DC01 and 4653 1636279. The number cast on your kickstand arm determines the choice.
Do I need to remove the original kickstand to install the plate?
No. The original foot remains in place: the base is positioned underneath, the bracket or cover on top, and three M5 screws secure the assembly through the original foot. No drilling or welding is required.
What tightening torque should I use for the plate screws?
It depends on the code, which should be checked in the manual included in the package. The manuals specify 4 N·m for CJC031, CJC081, and CJC072; 5 N·m for CJC088, CJC025, CJC033, CJC062, and CJC251. LOBOO advises against fully tightening the screws immediately: make adjustments first, then tighten them in sequence, and check the screws periodically.
Does a kickstand plate really prevent the motorcycle from sinking?
It reduces it but does not eliminate it. The stand sinks because of the pressure on the ground, which is the weight divided by the support area: widening the support area lowers the pressure. On very soft ground, or with the motorcycle heavily loaded, some risk remains that the plate alone cannot eliminate.
Is the plate also useful on asphalt?
Yes, in the case of asphalt softened by the sun in summer, which the LOBOO product sheets explicitly mention for the S 1000 XR, G 310 GS, and F 850 GS. However, the manufacturer warns that the motorcycle's setup, such as the additional load, should be taken into account when using it on the road.
Does the F 750 GS plate fit the F 900 GS?
Only partly. The CJC031 is specified for the F 750 GS from 2018, the F 800 GS from 2025, and the F 900 GS from 2025 in the Comfort Edition version only; the standard F 900 GS and Adventure models are excluded. For the F 900 GS from 2024, there is the CJC025; for the F 900 GS Adventure, the CJC033.
Does it also fit older BMW R 1200 GS models?
Only for liquid-cooled LC models from 2013 onward. Air- and oil-cooled GS models up to 2012 are excluded from LOBOO manuals for the CJC081, CJC072, and CJC088 codes. For the R 1200 GS LC, the manufacturer also states that on more recent generations, the CJC081 is not compatible with the sport suspension.
What is it made of and how much does it weigh?
The product sheets state that they are made of CNC-machined aluminum, with a 304 stainless steel cover or bracket on some codes. Declared weights: approximately 110 g for the CJC251, 117 g for the CJC151-CN, 130 g for the CJC131/CJC132, and 150 g for the CJC033. LOBOO does not publish the weight for other codes, and we prefer not to estimate it.
How much does a LOBOO side stand plate for BMW GS cost?
In the Endurrad catalog, the plates in this guide cost from €22 (G 310 GS) to €45 (R 1300 GS, F 900 GS from 2024). Prices and availability are those shown on the product sheets as of the update date.
Which is better, the plate or the center stand?
They address different problems: the plate widens the side stand's support area, while the center stand keeps the motorcycle upright for loading luggage and maintenance. The guide on oversized center or side stands, linked below, compares them in detail.
