The foot of the standard kickstand rests on just a few square centimetres. The plate enlarges that surface and distributes the motorcycle’s weight over a much wider area: that’s the whole principle, and it works precisely where the ground gives way.

It’s the same idea as the small plates you take with you on trips, with the difference that this one stays mounted on the motorcycle and can’t be forgotten at home.

LOBOO states that it uses high-strength aluminum alloy and computer numerical control machining, and identifies CNC as the reason for the surface finish and precise hole positioning.

These are the holes that must align with the original foot shape: even one millimeter out of position is immediately noticeable during installation.

The original kickstand foot does not need to be removed. The black base goes underneath, the aluminum cover on top, and three M5×10 screws clamp them together around the stock foot.

No drilling or permanent modifications: if you sell the motorcycle, you can return it to its original configuration in just a few minutes. LOBOO states that it developed the shape based on the vehicle’s original data.

The grooves are cut into the sides and bottom of the base and prevent lateral slipping.

On a sloped surface or gravel, a wide but smooth surface tends to slide: widening the contact area without providing grip would solve only half the problem.

The manufacturer’s two photos show the same motorcycle on the same loose ground: without the plate, the stand foot cuts into the ground and sinks; with the plate, it stays on the surface.

This is the use case the plate was designed for—parking on hard-packed earth, gravel, grass, or sand—and the condition in which a loaded GS has the least margin.

The box contains the base, the cover, three M5×10 screws, a T25 Torx key, and a single-use packet of threadlocker. Nothing else is needed, and the contents are the same for both codes.

Torque specified in the manual: 5 N·m for all three screws. The manual recommends not fully tightening them immediately, but first adjusting the position and only then tightening them in sequence, and checking the screws periodically.

Before purchase, LOBOO puts a limitation in writing that is worth knowing: on asphalt, if the motorcycle’s setup changes—additional weight, luggage, suspension settings—the plate may not sit in full contact with the ground, which can accelerate its wear.

The manufacturer considers this normal and not detrimental to its function. We mention it because it is explicitly stated: the plate is designed for soft surfaces, not to correct the motorcycle’s ride height.
