Moto Guzzi V85 TT Napapijri: the special travel edition from EICMA 2026, equipment, specifications, and what is still missing

Moto Guzzi V85 TT Napapijri presentata a EICMA 2026, vista di tre quarti su sterrato nordico

In brief. The Moto Guzzi V85 TT Napapijri is the special touring edition that Moto Guzzi presented at EICMA on November 3, 2026, created in collaboration with the Italian outdoor clothing brand Napapijri. Beneath the white, blue, and red color scheme with the “NORDKAPP” lettering is the V85 TT we know: an 850 cc transverse V-twin producing 80 hp, 19- and 17-inch tubeless spoked wheels, shaft drive, and a 23-liter tank.

The real difference is in the equipment: heated seat and grips, hand guards, aluminum skid plate, cruise control, MIA platform, and a Napapijri “Bering Bag” duffel bag included, all as standard. The price and release date have not yet been announced. In this article, we separate what the official press release says from what comes from the V85 TT specifications, and explain who it makes sense for and what you really need to set off.

The V85 TT Napapijri is a V85 TT dressed for North Cape, not a new motorcycle

Moto Guzzi hasn’t changed the engine or frame: it took its classic adventure bike, equipped it with the most sought-after touring features, and teamed it up with a clothing brand that speaks the same language as trips to the North.

Moto Guzzi’s press release, published in the Piaggio Group press room on November 3, 2026, with the EICMA 2026 label, describes the motorcycle as a special edition of the V85 TT dedicated to travel. The collaboration with Napapijri was announced in September with a limited-edition capsule clothing collection; the motorcycle is the second chapter of the same project.

For motorcyclists, the news boils down to this: the most extensively equipped V85 TT Moto Guzzi has ever offered as standard, without cases. There are no new details on the engine, weight or chassis, and the press release doesn’t mention a limited production run for the motorcycle: the term “limited edition” appears only in reference to the clothing collection.

Every graphic detail tells the story of Giuseppe Guzzi’s journey to the Great North

The livery is at the heart of the project, and it isn’t just random decoration: it recalls a journey that is part of Mandello del Lario’s history.

The press release recalls the feat of Giuseppe Guzzi, brother of founder Carlo, who reached the Arctic Circle on the GT 500, nicknamed “Norge.” According to Moto Guzzi, this is where the brand’s passion for long-distance travel began, and it’s the same Nordic imagery evoked by the name Napapijri, which in Finnish refers to the Arctic Circle.

  • Colors: blue and red, shared by Napapijri and the Norwegian flag, on a white tank; exposed frame in color.
  • Fuel tank: a graphic inspired by maps and the coordinates of North Cape.
  • Front fender: the “NORDKAPP” lettering and the same color palette, also repeated on the fork guards.
  • Upper handlebar clamp: the two brands’ logos laser-engraved.
  • Windshield: a five-sided polygon that echoes the pocket on Napapijri’s Rainforest jacket.
  • Seat: the same embroidered pentagon, alternating with the stylized Moto Guzzi eagle.

A date to verify. The press release places Giuseppe Guzzi’s journey in 1927; several historical accounts date it to 1928. We’re reporting the official version and flagging the discrepancy, which makes no difference to anyone buying the motorcycle.

Standard equipment takes the best of the TT Travel, without the cases

To understand what you’re paying for with the Napapijri, you need to compare it with the two V85 TTs already in the lineup. We’re using only what Moto Guzzi wrote in its press releases.

The comparison is based on the press release of November 4, 2025, which introduced the 2026 V85 range, and the one dated November 3, 2026, about the Napapijri. When an item isn’t mentioned, we indicate that as such: it doesn’t mean it’s missing, only that the manufacturer didn’t state it in that document.

The Bering Bag is a Napapijri travel duffel made from “Cotone Pronto Intervento,” a waxed cotton canvas chosen for its durability and weather resistance. The press release does not specify its capacity or attachment system: we consider it a quality accessory, not a motorcycle-specific luggage system.

The V-twin remains an 850 cc unit producing 80 hp, with 90% of torque available at 3,500 rpm

No mechanical changes announced: the Napapijri uses the same engine and chassis as the regular V85 TT.

The air-cooled 90° transverse V-twin, with variable valve timing that optimizes valve lift, is the engine on which the V85 has built its reputation: low peak power, plenty of pull at low revs, and a shaft drive that needs no lubrication or adjustment. Moto Guzzi claims 90% of peak torque is available from just 3,500 rpm, the figure that matters most when touring loaded in the mountains.

Weight: two figures in circulation. Some publications list the Napapijri at 230 kg in running order in the text and 243 kg in the specs table. 230 kg is the V85 TT figure, while 243 kg is for the TT Travel with luggage. Moto Guzzi has not published the Napapijri’s weight: with a heated seat and grips and the duffel bag, we expect it to be close to the TT’s, but that’s our estimate.

The electronics and comfort features are just what you need for winter miles

On paper, the Napapijri is the most fully equipped V85 TT for cold-weather touring: the heated package comes with cruise control.

  • Four riding modes: Road, Sport, Offroad and Rain, which adjust Ride-by-Wire throttle response, MGCT traction control and ABS.
  • Six-axis inertial measurement unit: enables Cornering ABS and Cornering Traction Control, which adjust braking and traction according to lean angle.
  • Standard cruise control: on the highway heading north, or simply on the way to your vacation, it’s the difference between arriving with a healthy right wrist or a sore one.
  • Heated seat and grips: the two surfaces the rider touches throughout the trip, and the first to get cold.
  • Moto Guzzi MIA: connects your smartphone, lets you manage calls and music from the handlebar controls, and brings navigation to the 5″ color TFT display.
  • Dual circular headlights with eagle-shaped LED DRLs.

A practical tip that applies to every bike with heated grips and seat: together, they draw power continuously. On slow rides, in town or in traffic, it’s best to keep them on a low setting, especially if you’re also charging a smartphone and intercom. For advice on using multiple devices on board, see our guide to heated grip covers and power consumption.

Against the Transalp and R 12 G/S, the V85 plays the shaft-drive and 23-liter tank card

There are few alternatives for anyone looking for a touring adventure bike with character that doesn’t chase power. We’ve compared only figures stated by the manufacturers.

Model Engine and power Torque Claimed weight Tank Wheels Final drive Price in Italy

Honda XL750 Transalp 2026 755 cc twin-cylinder, 92 hp 75 Nm 210 kg kerb weight 16.9 L 21″ / 18″ Chain 10.990 €

Data: BMW Motorrad (R 12 G/S technical specifications), Honda and Moto Guzzi via Moto.it’s price list. Indicative list prices, ex-dealer. “odm” = kerb weight.

The takeaway is clear. The R 12 G/S is its rival in terms of image and shaft drive, but it’s a more off-road-oriented bike, with a 21″ front wheel and a much smaller tank, and it costs considerably more. The Transalp is lighter and more powerful, but has a chain and a more modern, less “classic” setup. Of the three, the V85 TT is the only one to combine shaft drive with a claimed range of over 400 km, and the Napapijri comes with features as standard that cost extra on the others.

Price and arrival at dealerships have not yet been announced

The official press release gives neither the price nor the delivery date. Any figure circulating today is an estimate.

As of publication on November 3, 2026, neither the Piaggio Group press room nor the dedicated press release lists a price for the V85 TT Napapijri. Italian and German publications that covered the news also report neither a price nor a delivery date. The two range reference points can be used for guidance: €12,100 for the V85 TT and €13,600 for the V85 TT Travel, Italian list prices for the 2024-2026 range.

Endurrad estimate, not an official figure. Considering that the Napapijri combines the Travel’s comfort features (heating, MIA) with the TT’s equipment (hand guards, skid plate) but forgoes the cases, it’s reasonable to expect a price between the TT and TT Travel, or slightly higher. We’ll update this article as soon as Moto Guzzi publishes the price list.

It’s the right V85 for those who travel all year and want to set off without adding accessories

It’s not a bike for those seeking performance or for those who tackle challenging off-road terrain. It’s for those who count the distance in days, not minutes.

It makes sense if

  • you ride in fall and winter too and want heated grips and a heated seat without having to install them later;
  • you do long highway rides and cruise control is a requirement, not an optional extra;
  • you want a shaft drive and a 23-liter tank so you don’t have to think about chains or gas stations;
  • you like a distinctive motorcycle with a history, and the Napapijri livery appeals to you.

Better to look elsewhere if

  • you’re looking for a 21″ front wheel and long-travel suspension for serious off-road riding: that’s where bikes like the Transalp, Africa Twin or R 12 G/S are needed;
  • you want standard side cases: the TT Travel includes them, the Napapijri doesn’t;
  • Power matters: 80 hp is enough for touring two-up, but not for having fun on the highway with a full load.

To set off, you need a luggage system and a tubeless tire repair kit

The Napapijri already comes with much of what is usually added as an extra. Two gaps remain: where to put your luggage and how to deal with a puncture far from home.

Tubeless spoked rims are a real advantage: a puncture can be repaired at the roadside with a strip kit and a compressor, without removing the wheel. It’s the first accessory we recommend to anyone setting off on a V85 TT, Napapijri or not. As for luggage, the complimentary Bering Bag looks nice, but it isn’t a waterproof motorcycle luggage system: for long trips, you need a waterproof rear bag.

Compatibility details: what we know. The Endurrad catalog includes products made for the V85 TT, such as the Barkbusters BHG-127 handguard kit for the V85 TT from 2024, the Kaoko cruise control and Eazi-Grip decals, but they are currently out of stock and none are stated by the manufacturer to fit the Napapijri. What’s more, the Napapijri already comes standard with handguards and cruise control. The Eazi-Grip tank grips are stated to fit the 2019-2023 V85 TT: we don’t recommend them on the Napapijri graphics until the manufacturer confirms the shape. Find the updated list in the Moto Guzzi V85 TT accessories collection.

Price, weight and delivery date are missing: here’s what to check before ordering

The press release is rich in style and features, but short on figures. Before signing an order, it’s worth asking the dealer four things.

  1. List price and comparison with a V85 TT Travel, which comes standard with Urban panniers.
  2. Weight in running order of the Napapijri, not yet published.
  3. Delivery date and whether there is a production run: the press release does not mention a numbered series.
  4. Bering Bag capacity and mounting, to understand whether and where it fits on the motorcycle.

Frequently asked questions about the Moto Guzzi V85 TT Napapijri

What is the Moto Guzzi V85 TT Napapijri?

It's a special edition of the V85 TT unveiled by Moto Guzzi at EICMA 2026, created in collaboration with outdoor clothing brand Napapijri. It features a dedicated livery inspired by Giuseppe Guzzi's journey to the Arctic Circle and comes fully equipped for touring as standard.

How much does the V85 TT Napapijri cost?

The price has not yet been announced. For reference, the standard V85 TT costs €12,100 and the V85 TT Travel €13,600 (2024-2026 Italian price list).

When will the V85 TT Napapijri arrive at dealerships?

Moto Guzzi has not yet announced the arrival date. The November 3, 2026 press release does not give availability or delivery times.

What engine does the V85 TT Napapijri have?

The same as the V85 TT: a transverse 90° V-twin, air-cooled, with 850 cc and 80 hp, featuring variable valve timing. Moto Guzzi claims 90% of the torque is available as early as 3,500 rpm.

What does it have that the standard V85 TT doesn't?

Heated seat and grips, MIA multimedia platform, cruise control mentioned in the press release, five-position adjustable windscreen, Napapijri livery with engraved and embroidered details, and a complimentary Bering Bag duffel. Handguards, skid plate, and tubeless wheels are shared with the V85 TT.

Does it come with side cases as standard?

No. The press release does not mention side cases; Urban cases come standard on the V85 TT Travel. The Napapijri instead includes a Napapijri Bering Bag duffel.

Are the tires tubeless?

Yes. The spoked wheels are fitted with 19-inch tubeless tires at the front and 17-inch tires at the rear, so a puncture can be repaired with a plug kit and compressor without removing the wheel.

How much does the V85 TT Napapijri weigh?

The weight has not been announced. The standard V85 TT weighs 230 kg in running order; the TT Travel weighs 243 kg with the luggage cases.

What is its range?

The tank holds 23 liters, and Moto Guzzi claims a range of over 400 km for the V85 range. Actual fuel consumption depends on load, speed, and temperature.

Is it a limited and numbered series?

The press release calls it a special edition but does not mention a limited or numbered production run for the motorcycle. L'expression "limited edition" refers to the Napapijri clothing capsule collection launched in September.

Is it suitable for off-road riding?

Yes, for easy gravel tracks and unpaved roads: it has Offroad mode, adjustable ABS and traction control, a skid plate, and spoked wheels. For challenging off-road riding, its suspension travel and 19-inch front wheel make it less suitable than motorcycles with a 21-inch wheel.

Which accessories do you really need for traveling on the V85 TT Napapijri?

Since it already comes with heated grips, cruise control, handguards, and a skid plate as standard, the main things you need are a waterproof luggage system, such as a 50-liter tail bag, and a tubeless tire repair kit with a portable compressor.

Can it be ridden with an A2 license?

The Napapijri press release does not mention a 35 kW restricted version. A 35 kW variant is available in the V85 TT range; ask your dealer whether it will also be offered for the Napapijri.
