In brief. A heated grip cover such as the LOBOO H80 is chosen not by motorcycle model but by the diameter of the grip you already have: the clamp covers 29 to 35 mm. It wraps over the original grips, without glue and without removing the controls, and the manufacturer specifies it only for fuel-powered motorcycles with a 12–15 V system.

Three connections are required (fused positive, negative, ACC line) and an inline rectifier module. It draws 10 to 28 W depending on the level and heats, with the motorcycle stationary and an ambient temperature of 5 °C, from 38 to 59 °C. As of 02/10/2026, 2 units remain.

The grip measurement determines whether they fit your motorcycle

The H80 does not have a list of compatible motorcycles: the key measurement is the outside diameter of the grip already installed.

29–35 mmdiameter of the existing grip
91–110 mmequivalent circumference (editorial calculation)
12–15 Vrequired system voltage
10–28 Wconsumption according to the level

How to measure in three minutes

  1. With calipers. Measure the grip's outside diameter at the point where the grip cover will go.
  2. Without calipers. Wrap a tailor's tape measure around the grip and divide the circumference by 3.14.
  3. Repeat on both sides. Editorial recommendation: measure both the left and right sides, because the throttle side may have a different profile.
  4. Compare it with 29–35 mm. If you are at the limit of the range, contact Endurrad before ordering.
Measured diameter Circumference to measure with a tape measure Falls within 29–35 mm
29 mm 91.1 mm Yes, it is the lower limit
30 mm 94.2 mm Yes
32 mm 100.5 mm Yes
35 mm 110.0 mm Yes, it is the upper limit
Works if
  • the mounted grip measures between 29 and 35 mm;
  • the motorcycle is fuel-powered, with a 12–15 V direct-current system;
  • there is room near the control for a few millimetres of additional diameter.
Does not
  • it is not specified for electric motorcycles or other voltages;
  • it does not fit grips outside 29–35 mm;
  • the circuit must be used only with H80 grip covers, not with other heaters.

Package contents (from the manual)

  • 1 heated grip cover assembly (right and left) with wiring;
  • 1 rectifier module;
  • 2 multi-segment clamps (fastening covered by ZL 201920032035.1 patent);
  • 8 cable ties and 2 silicone cable ties;
  • 2 M3×16 screws and 2 M3×18 screws;
  • 1 2 mm Allen key.

The system can handle it: three wires, one module and a few calculations

There is no built-in battery: the grip cover draws power from the motorcycle's electrical system.

The three connections

  • Positive with fuse, from the motorcycle's electrical system.
  • Negative, to ground.
  • ACC line: the 12–15 V wire that is powered when the ignition is on and disconnected when the ignition is off, so the grip covers do not remain active when the motorcycle is off.

The rectifier module goes in line between the system and the two grip covers.

Power level Declared power Current at 12 V Current at 15 V
Lower 10 W approximately 0.8 A approximately 0.7 A
Higher 28 W approximately 2.3 A approximately 1.9 A

The currents are an editorial calculation (power ÷ voltage) based on the value declared by LOBOO.

What is not specified. LOBOO does not specify whether 10–28 W is for a single grip cover or the pair, and the fuse rating does not appear in the data we were able to read (the PDF manual is a scan that cannot be converted to text). Before connecting, check the fuse rating in the LOBOO manual and, if you already have auxiliary lights, a USB socket and a heated vest on the same system, check the alternator's output.

Step-by-step installation without removing the controls

Installation takes place over the existing grips: the handlebar is not touched.

Recommended order

  1. Check the clearance. The grip cover adds a few millimeters to the diameter: check the handguards and nearby controls.
  2. Wrap and tighten. Wrap the grip cover around the grip and close the multi-segment clamp.
  3. Secure the throttle-side cable. Use the original silicone cable ties: according to the manual, a cable damaged by incorrect installation is not covered by the warranty.
  4. Route the cables. Editorial advice: leave the steering and throttle return unobstructed at full lock.
  5. Connect the system. Positive with fuse, negative and ACC, with the rectifier module in line.
  6. Close the waterproof cap on the main cable to prevent short circuits, then test both sides.

The order of operations is an editorial summary. For the official sequence, use the LOBOO H80 installation manual (PDF) and the LOBOO installation video.

Frequently asked questions about heated grip covers

What is the difference between heated grip covers and heated grips?

Heated grips replace the original grips or have the heater under the rubber. A heated grip cover such as the LOBOO H80 wraps over the grips you already have and tightens with a clamp: no glue, no removal of the controls, and it can be removed at the end of the season.

How do I know whether the H80 will fit my motorcycle?

The model does not matter; what matters is the diameter of the grip already installed: the clamp adjusts from 29 to 35 mm. Measure it with calipers or with a tailor's tape wrapped around the grip, dividing the circumference by 3.14. If the value is at the edge of the range, contact Endurrad before ordering.

Will it work on any motorcycle?

The LOBOO manual specifies it only for fuel-powered motorcycles with a 12–15 V direct-current system. It is not specified for electric motorcycles or systems with a different voltage, and the circuit should be used only with the H80 grip covers.

Do I have to remove the original grips?

No. The H80 wraps over the existing grips. No glue or heaters inserted under the rubber are needed, and the control housings remain where they are.

How hot do they really get?

The four levels stated by LOBOO are 38, 45, 52, and 59 °C, measured in a laboratory with the motorcycle stationary and an ambient temperature of 5 °C. While riding, wind and the thermal conductivity of the underlying grip reduce the actual value, and glove thickness affects how warm it feels: these are reference values between settings, not a guaranteed temperature at your hand.

How much current do they consume?

From 10 W at the lowest setting to 28 W at the highest, with a 12–15 V power supply (LOBOO stated data). Dividing power by voltage, 28 W at 12 V corresponds to about 2.3 A; LOBOO does not specify whether this value is for a single grip or the pair.

Is there a risk of draining the battery?

They have no built-in battery and draw power from the electrical system. A vibration sensor switches them off after five minutes when the motorcycle is stationary. If you already have auxiliary lights, a USB socket, and a heated vest on the same system, it is advisable to check the alternator output before adding more load.

How do you connect them to the electrical system?

They require three connections: positive with a fuse, negative, and an ACC line, meaning the 12–15 V wire that is powered when the ignition is on and disconnected when it is off. The rectifier module goes in line between the electrical system and the two grip covers.

Do they work with handguards installed?

Normally, yes, and handguards and heated grip covers work well together: the former block the wind, while the latter provide heat. However, the grip cover adds a few millimeters to the diameter, so if you have a handguard with a narrow mount near the control, check the clearance before ordering.

Can I adjust the two grips differently?

Yes. Each grip cover has its own button, with four red LEDs indicating the level, and its own setting: you can keep the right one warmer than the left or switch off just one.

Why do they switch off by themselves while I ride?

According to the manual, the voltage protection is activated: it triggers when the system drops below 12 V or exceeds 15 V, and the grip covers work again after restarting. Low voltage is usually caused by a flat battery or a heavy load, while high voltage is caused by a faulty regulator or battery: have the system checked in that case.

What does it mean if all four LEDs are flashing?

The manual identifies this as a short-circuit protection intervention. In this case, the product must be sent back to the manufacturer for repair: contact Endurrad and we'll handle the process.

Can they be left installed in summer?

They can also be removed: the cable and heated grip covers are separate parts with screw connectors, so removing the grip covers leaves the wiring in place. The manual says to close the main cable's waterproof cap securely and store the grip covers rolled up, never folded, to avoid damaging the internal heating plate. They must not be powered while rolled up.

Are they resistant to rain and washing?

LOBOO's stated rating is IP67, meaning dust protection and protection against temporary immersion. For cleaning, the manual says to rinse them with water or wipe them with a damp cloth, using a neutral detergent for stubborn dirt; no part should come into contact with acidic or alkaline liquids.

What warranty is included?

LOBOO states that it provides free repairs for quality defects within one year of sale under normal use. At Endurrad, the 24-month statutory warranty of conformity remains valid in all cases.
