In brief. For aluminum motorcycle cases, the part that determines compatibility is not the case but the frame. In the LOBOO CONQUEROR series, the cases are always the same; only the side frame changes, specific to the model and year. That is why the correct order is: first the frame for your motorcycle, then the cases, and finally the optional top case.
- A case system consists of three purchases: side cases, side frame, and luggage rack or plate for the top case.
- The right case is narrower to leave room for the exhaust: 45+38 L or 35+30 L.
- Patented nine-point attachment, maximum load 10 kg per case.
- BMW frames are not interchangeable between the R 1200/1250 GS, R 1300 GS, and R 1300 GS Adventure.
All technical data are those stated by LOBOO in the product specifications and manual; prices and stock levels are those of the Endurrad store as of October 2, 2026.
A case system consists of three pieces, not one
Almost everyone chooses aluminum cases by looking at the capacity and color. It is the quickest way to spend fifteen hundred euros and end up with a system that does not fit your motorcycle, or that fits but wobbles. The part that determines everything is something else, and costs a quarter as much: the frame.

What you are really buying when you buy «the cases»
- The side cases — the actual containers.
- The side frame — the stainless steel structure that bolts to the motorcycle subframe and to which the cases attach.
- The rear luggage rack or the top case plate — only if you also want the top case.
They are three separate purchases because they follow different logic. And this is where the entire choice changes.
The cases stay yours, the frame changes with the motorcycle
In the CONQUEROR series, the cases are always the same, regardless of the motorcycle. The only thing that changes from model to model is the frame they attach to.

The practical consequence that almost no one explains
If you change motorcycles one day, you change the frame and keep your cases. A pair of cases is an investment that outlasts the motorcycle; the frame is a consumable tied to the model.
This leads to the correct way to buy, which also spreads out the expense: the frame first, then one case at a time. Not the complete set all at once.
- you change motorcycles and buy only the frame for the new model
- you start with just one case and complete the set later
- you need to replace only one damaged case (45 L and 38 L are also sold individually)
- does not make the frame universal: it is specific to the model, year, and version
- does not allow you to buy the 35 L or 30 L on its own: they are sold only as a pair
The right case is narrower because the exhaust runs there
The right cases have a recess at the bottom that leaves room for the exhaust; the depth decreases from 291 to 236 mm on the C38R and from 243 to 207 mm on the C30R.

That is why the pairs are asymmetrical - 45+38 or 35+30 - and why the symmetrical 45+45 setup is used only where the exhaust does not get in the way. If someone offers you two identical cases for the same motorcycle, the question to ask is where the exhaust runs.
| Code | Volume | Side | Dimensions | Weight | Sale |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| C45L | 45 L | left | 527 × 315 × 380 mm | — | also sold individually |
| C45R | 45 L | right | 527 × 315 × 380 mm | — | also sold individually |
| C38R | 38 L | right, exhaust recess | 527 × 291 × 380 mm (236 mm at the recess) | — | also sold individually |
| C35L | 35 L | left | 488 × 267 × 397 mm | 5.7 kg | only as a pair with C30R |
| C30R | 30 L | right, exhaust recess | 488 × 243 × 397 mm (207 mm at the recess) | 5.28 kg | only as a pair with C35L |
Nine attachment points eliminate play, and play is the real enemy
The case and frame connect at nine support points, covered by utility model patent No. ZL 2017 2 0624675.2.

Why the number matters
This is not a brochure number. A case that shifts by one millimeter will have worn out its own mounts after a few thousand kilometers of off-road riding. Less play means less vibration, less noise, and less stress on the motorcycle subframe. That is the technical reason why systems with two or three attachment points start rattling after the first season.
The release mechanism is calibrated asymmetrically
In a side fall, the case stays in place, while in a strong frontal impact it is designed to detach, so the impact is not transferred to the subframe. It is a deliberate choice: better to pick up a case from the ground than straighten a subframe.
Built right means repairable piece by piece
With an accessory that takes a beating, the difference between a repair and a replacement is the riveted structure.

- High-strength anodized aluminum alloy plates for corrosion resistance.
- One-piece CNC-machined retaining frame, integrated into the lid, with rubber gaskets, German rivets, and Swiss adhesive.
- Riveted structure: damaged components can be replaced one by one, without replacing the case.
- Cylinder lock with five spring plates, removable and replaceable. Note down the number stamped on the key.
- Bumpers and Case Protectors on the corners: they absorb impact and increase ground friction during a slide, instead of letting the motorcycle slide.
- Sensor-activated interior light, 60 lumens, IP66 rating: it turns on when opened and can be removed to become a headlamp.
- Flocked interior lining that does not scratch the helmet, a document pocket in the lid, and a pass-through aluminum extension bar for securing a tent or waterproof bags.
The sliding luggage rack brings the weight back between the wheels
A fully loaded top case mounted high and far back increases the leverage on the subframe and lightens the front end at highway speeds. It is the classic drawback of touring setups, and is especially noticeable with two people aboard.

How it works
The patented sliding luggage rack lets you move the load backward and forward relative to the wheel axle, bringing the center of gravity between the wheels instead of above the tail. If you often travel with a passenger and a full top case, it is the component that most changes the motorcycle's behavior.
On the R 1300 GS, it is the sliding upper luggage rack PTC JST131WC; for the R 1200 and R 1250 GS, there is a frame + sliding luggage rack kit, currently out of stock.
Each BMW GS generation has its own frame
This is the table that prevents the costliest mistake: the frames are not interchangeable between generations.

| Motorcycle | Side frame | Luggage rack / plate | Cases |
|---|---|---|---|
| R 1200 GS 2013-2018, R 1200 GS Adventure 2014-2018, R 1250 GS and Adventure 2019-2024 (including «40 Years GS») | JP071B | JP071W · JP072W Adventure · JP071WPRO | 45 L + 38 L asymmetric |
| R 1300 GS from 2023 | JP131B | JP131WB (PRO) · JST131WC (sliding) · JPT131WA plate | 45 L + 45 L |
| R 1300 GS Adventure from 2024 | JP151B | JP151WPRO · JPT131WA plate | 45 L + 45 L |
- fits R 1300 GS to R 1300 GS Adventure: panniers, top case and JPT131WA plate remain
- fits R 1200 GS to R 1250 GS: same JP071B frame
- the system for the R 1200 and R 1250 GS does not fit the R 1300 GS
- the R 1300 GS frames do not fit the R 1300 GS Adventure, and vice versa

For a top case, the right volume is the one that does not unbalance the tail
Choosing a top case is simpler, but there is one criterion: every extra litre adds weight overhanging behind the rear axle.

PIKE TRACKER: P36 or P45
The PIKE TRACKER line has a rigid alloy shell with reinforced corners, stainless steel hinges and structural water resistance — a perimeter gasket and overlapping rim — rather than relying on a cover to be fitted when it rains.
- P36, 36 litres: one full-face helmet and the day's essentials, with a compact footprint at the tail.
- P45, 45 litres: two helmets or the luggage for a trip, but with more weight overhanging behind the rear axle.
If you often ride alone and want to keep the motorcycle responsive, the 36 is the more sensible choice even when the 45 seems like a bargain.
Two numbers to remember: 10 kg and one metre
The load limit and the distance of the water jet are the two rules that extend the system's lifespan.

Load
10 kg per individual side case is not theoretical caution: above that threshold, the mounts work poorly, not the case.
Maintenance
Water jet at least one meter away and neutral detergent only. Acidic or alkaline products damage the anodizing, which is exactly the layer that keeps corrosion away. Before every trip, check the tightness of the frame and mounts.
Buy in the right order: frame, luggage, top case
Four steps, in the order that reduces the risk of error.
- Your motorcycle's frame, checking the model, year, and version. This is the one part you cannot get wrong.
- One side case, or the correct asymmetrical pair for your exhaust side.
- Luggage rack or plate, only if you also want the top case.
- The top case, choosing the volume based on how often you travel with two people.

Frequently asked questions about aluminum cases
The questions we receive most often before an order.
Are aluminum cases universal?
The cases, yes; the frames, no. In the CONQUEROR series, the cases are identical across all motorcycles: only the side frame changes, as it is specific to the model and year.
Do I have to buy everything again if I change motorcycles?
No. You replace the frame and keep the cases, which remain compatible. This is why it makes sense to consider the cases a long-term investment and the frame an expense tied to the motorcycle.
Why is the right case smaller than the left?
Because the exhaust runs along the right side. The right cases have a recess at the bottom: the depth decreases from 291 to 236 mm on the C38R and from 243 to 207 mm on the C30R. This is why the pairs are asymmetrical, 45+38 or 35+30.
How much weight can I load in a side case?
The LOBOO manual specifies 10 kg per individual side case. Above that threshold, the mounting points are the parts under strain, not the case.
Does the case frame for the R 1250 GS fit the R 1300 GS?
No. The R 1300 GS has a dedicated CONQUEROR series with different frames (JP131B). The system for the R 1200 and R 1250 GS (JP071B frame) is not compatible.
Do the R 1300 GS and R 1300 GS Adventure use the same frames?
No: the GS uses the JP131B side frame and the JP131WB luggage rack, while the Adventure uses the JP151B frame and the JP151WPRO luggage rack. The cases and top case are the same, while the only shared mounting component is the JPT131WA top-case plate.
How many liters does the complete set for the BMW R 1250 GS hold?
The CONQUEROR set for the R 1200 and R 1250 GS combines the 45-liter C45L left case, the 38-liter C38R right case, and the 40-liter C40T top case: 83 liters of side-case capacity and 123 liters in total.
Can aluminum cases be repaired?
Yes. The structure is riveted, so damaged components can be replaced individually without changing the case. The cylinder lock is also removable and replaceable: it is advisable to note the number printed on the key.
Do the cases detach in a fall?
It depends on the type of impact. According to LOBOO, in a side fall the case stays in place, while in a strong frontal impact it is designed to detach so it does not transfer the impact to the motorcycle’s subframe.
What Is the Sliding Luggage Rack For?
It allows the top case to be moved forward or backward relative to the rear wheel axle, bringing the center of gravity between the wheels instead of over the tail. The difference is felt especially with two people and a loaded top case. On the R 1300 GS, its code is JST131WC.
Top Case Plate or PRO Rack on the R 1300 GS: What’s the Difference?
The JPT131WA plate is the most economical solution for mounting the top case and attaches to the luggage rack. The PRO JP131WB rear luggage rack is a complete structure that replaces the original luggage rack and is more rigid.
Is the 36- or 45-liter top case better?
The PIKE TRACKER P36 holds one full-face helmet and the essentials for the day while remaining compact; the P45 holds two helmets or the luggage for a trip, but with more weight cantilevered behind the rear axle. If you often ride alone, the 36 keeps the motorcycle more responsive.
What is included with the CONQUEROR cases?
Each case includes an interior light, a footrest cushion, lid storage bags, and keys. The rack kits include mounting hardware.
How should aluminum cases be washed?
With a water jet from a distance of at least one meter and a neutral detergent. Acidic or alkaline products damage the anodizing treatment, which is the layer that protects against corrosion.
