Description LOBOO CONQUEROR – Aluminum Panniers, Top Case and Racks for BMW R1200GS / R1250GS / Adventure

The LOBOO CONQUEROR system is a complete aluminum range for BMW R1200GS, R1250GS, and Adventure from 2013 to 2024, including the “40 Years GS” edition. You can purchase the complete set or individual items: top case, left pannier, right pannier, and frames are sold separately.

Why the sliding rack changes your ride

A loaded top case mounted high and far back extends the leverage on the subframe and lightens the front end at highway speeds. The patented LOBOO sliding rack moves the load forward and backward relative to the wheel axle, bringing the center of gravity back between the wheels instead of over the tail.

With a passenger, the difference is even more noticeable, as the weight on the rear is already at its limit.

Patented 9-point mounting

Panniers and frame mate at nine support points, covered by utility model patent no. ZL 2017 2 0624675.2: the setup remains rigid, and the rattling typical of two or three-point attachment systems after a few thousand kilometers does not occur. In case of a side fall, the pannier remains in place, while in a strong frontal impact, it is designed to detach, so as not to transfer the impact to the subframe.

Asymmetric panniers: 45 L left, 38 L right

The right side of the GS houses the exhaust. The 38-liter C38R fits around the exhaust, keeping the bike narrow, while the 45-liter C45L on the left recovers the volume. That's 83 liters on the sides, to which the 40-liter C40T top case adds the rest: 123 liters in total.

It's a system, not an accessory. It's worth the expense if:

  • You travel fully loaded and with a passenger, where the leverage effect of the top case on the subframe is really felt
  • You cover serious mileage and want a attachment that won't start rattling after the first trip
  • You also go off-road and need an aluminum shell that can withstand impacts
  • You want to be able to buy individual spare parts instead of the complete set

If you travel only a few hundred kilometers a year and don't carry a passenger, a soft waterproof bag does the same job at a tenth of the price.

  • Respect the maximum load capacity of the frame and luggage rack indicated by the motorcycle manufacturer: the system does not increase it.
  • Distribute the weight by keeping the heaviest load low and close to the wheel axle.
  • The load must not cover the license plate and taillights or extend beyond the limits established by the Highway Code.
  • Recheck the tightening of the frames after the first few kilometers and at each service.
  • The quick-release system in case of frontal impact is a design feature declared by the manufacturer, not an approved safety device.
  • The manufacturer's warranty is 12 months and does not replace the 24-month legal warranty of conformity provided for the consumer.

How does it work, in detail?

In a fall, the pannier is the first point of contact, and anything that does not deform it ends up on the motorcycle’s subframe. A bent subframe on a GS means a repair costing hundreds of euros, and it often can’t be straightened.

LOBOO uses high-strength aluminum alloy plates for precisely this reason: they absorb more impact energy instead of transferring it. The pannier gets dented; the subframe stays straight.

Two- or three-point mounting systems have play from the outset, and the play increases with mileage: after a few thousand miles, rattling starts over patched road surfaces. Here, the case and frame mate at nine points, covered by utility model patent No. ZL 2017 2 0624675.2.

The release mechanism is calibrated: in a lateral fall or a slide, the case remains in place, while in a severe frontal impact it is designed to detach, reducing the risk of triggering a wobble. This is a design choice declared by the manufacturer, not a homologated device.

On the external edges, there are two separate elements: a wear-resistant rubber bumper that absorbs impacts, and beneath it, a Case Protector made of high-strength technical plastic.

The Case Protector is designed to increase friction with the ground during a slide, so the motorcycle slows down instead of continuing forward. The wide chamfer also provides a few extra degrees of lean angle before the case makes contact.

On an aluminum suitcase, water enters through the joints, not the walls. The sealing frame here is CNC-machined from a single piece: fewer joints, fewer points where water can get through.

The sealing system combines rubber gaskets, German-made rivets, and Swiss adhesive. These are details you can't see in photos, but they make the difference between a suitcase that stays dry after a downpour and one that soaks your clothes.

The lid has a sensor light that turns on automatically when opened: 60 lumens, a 600 mAh lithium-polymer battery, and weighing 32 grams. With an IP66 rating, it withstands both rain and dust.

The unexpected part is that it detaches: it becomes a headlamp with an elastic strap. At the campsite or during a roadside repair, it’s the only light you need, and you recharge it just like a phone.

On the GS, the exhaust muffler is on the right and takes up space. Symmetrical panniers either stick out, making the bike wider exactly where you need to squeeze through, or sacrifice capacity on both sides.

LOBOO solves this with two different capacities: the 38-liter C38R fits around the muffler, while the 45-liter C45L on the left makes up for the space lost on the right. That gives you 83 liters of side storage while keeping the bike’s profile narrow. Add the 40-liter C40T top case for a total capacity of 123 liters.

The lid has two zippered pockets and an elastic mesh compartment: gloves, rain gear, and documents stay separate from the rest, so you can grab them without emptying the suitcase.

The entire interior is lined with flocked fabric. In a bare aluminum shell, the helmet gets scratched at the first jolt and the contents rattle noisily; here, they rest on soft fabric.

A large-surface, soft backrest is fitted to the top case, shaped to follow the curve of the back. Anyone who travels two-up knows that after the third hour, it’s the difference between a happy passenger and one asking to stop.

An aluminum through-extension bar runs across the lid: tie your tent, sleeping bag, or waterproof bag to it without having to improvise anchor points with bungee cords.

Can I buy just one suitcase instead of the set?

Yes. In the selector, you’ll find the C40T top case, the C45L left pannier, the C45R right pannier, and the C38R right pannier as individual pieces, available in Black and Silver. That’s the main reason they exist: after a scrape, you replace only the damaged shell instead of buying the entire set again.

Why is the right suitcase smaller than the left one?

Because on the GS, the exhaust is on the right. The 38-liter C38R has a recessed profile that fits around the exhaust without making the motorcycle wider, while the 45-liter C45L on the left makes up for the lost volume. It’s a design choice: symmetrical cases would either stick out on the right or sacrifice capacity on both sides.

Are the frames included in the price of the suitcases?

No, they are purchased separately and you can find them in the same selector. You need the side rack for the side cases and a rear luggage rack for the top case, or one of the kits that combine them. The racks are made of stainless steel, are specific to the model and year, and include all the mounting hardware.

Do they fit the BMW R 1300 GS?

No. This listing covers the R 1250 GS and Adventure from 2019 to 2024, the R 1200 GS from 2013 to 2018, and the R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014 to 2018. Are they compatible with the R 1250 GS Adventure “40 Years GS”?

Yes, the “40 Years GS” edition is included in the manufacturer’s stated compatibility for model years 2019–2024. The selector also includes the luggage racks specific to that version. The cases are the same; only the frame changes.

What difference does the sliding luggage rack make?

It allows you to move the top case forward or backward relative to the rear wheel axle. A fully loaded top case mounted high and far back increases leverage on the subframe and lightens the front end at highway speeds; moving it forward by a few centimeters brings the center of gravity back between the wheels. The difference is most noticeable when traveling with a passenger, when the load on the rear wheel is already high.

Do the suitcases come off if you fall?

It depends on the type of impact, and it is intentional. In a side fall or a slide, the case remains attached to the frame. In a severe frontal impact, the system is designed to let it detach, so that all the energy is not transferred to the motorcycle’s subframe. LOBOO states that this is a design choice: it is not an approved safety device.

Will a full-face helmet fit in the 40 L top case?

Yes, forty liters are enough for a full-face helmet plus what you need for the day. The interior is flock-lined for this very reason: the shell and visor rest on a soft fabric rather than bare aluminum. The lid also has document pockets, and the sensor-activated interior light turns on when you open it.
