CONQUEROR aluminum cases for the BMW R 1300 GS: a pair of 45-liter side cases and a 40-liter top case, the C40T, in black or silver. On this page, choose the cases, the top case, or one of the rack kits; individual racks and luggage plates have their own page.

Patented 9-point mounting system

The case and rack connect at nine contact points, covered by utility model patent no. ZL 2017 2 0624675.2. LOBOO states that in a side fall the case remains in place, while it is designed to detach in a severe frontal impact.

Construction

  • High-strength aluminum alloy plates, anodized, in Black or Silver.
  • Bumpers and body protectors on the corners, with cushioning pads where the case rests.
  • CNC-machined retaining frame, with rubber seals, German rivets, and Swiss adhesive.
  • LR08 sensor multifunction light: 30 lumens on low and 60 on high, a rechargeable 600 mAh lithium-polymer battery via USB-C, IP66, motion sensor, steady light, and SOS modes.
  • Lid bag and flocked interior; a backrest cushion on the top case.
  • Lock cylinder that can be installed and removed, as shown in the manual.

Load capacity

The CONQUEROR manual recommends not exceeding 10 kg per side case and 5 kg in the top case, because the cases are subject to vibrations while riding. The maximum load specified by BMW for the motorcycle also remains applicable.

Racks and luggage plates

The side cases mount on the JP131B side racks, whose manual is titled for the PIKE TRACKER and CONQUEROR series. There are three solutions for the top case: the top-case plate on the original luggage rack, the reinforced rear luggage rack, and the sliding upper luggage rack, with a side-sliding plate.

The selector also includes kits combining the side racks with one of the three top-case supports.

Compatibility

This page covers the BMW R 1300 GS from 2023 onward. For the R 1300 GS Adventure, the cases are the same but the racks are different: see the page for CONQUEROR cases for the R 1300 GS Adventure.

LOBOO aluminum cases mount only on LOBOO racks. If in doubt, contact us with the model, year, and whether you have the original luggage rack installed.

Systems with two or three attachment points have play from the outset, and the play increases with mileage: after a few thousand, rattling starts over patched roads. Here, the case and frame connect at nine points, covered by a utility model patent.

The release is calibrated: in a side fall, the case stays in place, while in a strong frontal impact it is designed to detach so as not to transfer the impact to the subframe. This is a design choice declared by the manufacturer, not a type-approved device.

The side cases do not mount onto the motorcycle subframe: the JP131B side frame is required, specifically for the R 1300 GS, and its manual is titled for the PIKE TRACKER and CONQUEROR series.

It has its own page, with hardware and threadlocker included. If you also get the top case, the selector includes kits that connect the frames to one of the three mounts.

A fully loaded top case mounted high and toward the rear affects handling more than the same weight in the side cases.

The JST131WC sliding luggage rack replaces the original with a die-cast structure and a laterally sliding plate: according to LOBOO, while riding, the top case oscillates less than the motorcycle and has less impact on the rear center of gravity.

If you only need the 40-liter top case, the JPT131WA mounting plate is the quickest option and the least expensive item on the entire sheet. It mounts on the luggage rack—nothing to remove and no structures to replace.

It’s also the only part shared with the R 1300 GS Adventure, so if you switch bikes but stay within the GS family, you won’t need to buy it again.

Forty-five liters per side, symmetrical

On the R 1300 GS, the two side cases are identical: 45 liters on the left and 45 on the right, for 90 liters in total. You don't need the asymmetrical version that on other GS models curves around the exhaust.

Adding the 40-liter top case brings the total to 130 liters: that's enough luggage for two people for two weeks, without strapping anything onto the seat.

Black or Silver, and it’s not just about aesthetics

Black anodized aluminum better conceals superficial scratches and looks good on dark GS models. Silver is the classic shipping finish, recognizable from a distance, and abrasions are less noticeable because the metal underneath is the same color.

Silver is cheaper than black at list price: about 80 euros less for the pair of panniers and 45 less for the top case. If you have no aesthetic preference, it is the more economical choice. The frames are available only in Silver.

Il kit usa i telai laterali JP131B. Mettiamo le mani avanti: sono il montaggio più impegnativo di tutto il catalogo LOBOO, sedici passaggi con maniglioni passeggero, staffe pedane e un connettore elettrico da scollegare. Se non sei attrezzato, valuta l'officina.

Use and notes

  • Respect the maximum load capacity of the frame and luggage rack indicated by BMW: the system does not increase it.
  • Distribute the weight by keeping the heaviest load low and close to the wheel axle.
  • The load must not cover the license plate and rear lights or protrude beyond the limits set by the Highway Code.
  • Recheck the frame's tightening after the first few kilometers and at each service.
  • The release in case of frontal impact is a design feature declared by the manufacturer, not an approved safety device.
  • The manufacturer's warranty is 12 months and does not replace the 24-month legal guarantee of conformity provided for the consumer.

How to compose the system:

  • Top case only: 40 L C40T plus JPT131WA plate. This is the most economical combination to start with.
  • Side cases only: 45+45 L pair plus JP131B frame, mandatory.
  • Complete system: side case pair, top case, and one of the frame plus rack kits, which cost less than separate parts.
  • With passenger: choose the kit with the JST131WC sliding rack. This is the one that brings the center of gravity between the wheels.

Colors: Black and Silver for the cases, only Silver for frames and racks.

Which rack do I need for the side cases?

The JP131B, the LOBOO side frame for the R 1300 GS: its manual is labeled for the PIKE TRACKER and CONQUEROR series. It is mandatory; the 45-liter cases cannot be mounted without it. You can find it on its product page or, in this page’s selector, among the kits with a top-case rack.

What is the difference between a plate, a reinforced luggage rack, and a sliding luggage rack?

There are three different ways to mount the top case, each with its own page. The JPT131WA plate attaches to the original luggage rack and is the simplest solution. The JP131WB is a complete luggage rack with its own subframe and mounting plate. The JST131WC replaces the original luggage rack with a die-cast structure and a side-sliding plate that, according to LOBOO, reduces the top case’s effect on handling.

Can I buy just the top case or just the panniers?

Yes. In the selector, there is the pair of side cases, the C40T top case, and the rack kits. The JP131B rack, plate, and individual luggage rack are purchased on their respective pages. Many start with the top case and plate on the original luggage rack, then add the side cases with the racks later.

Where can I find frames and luggage racks?

Each one has its own page: JP131B side frames, JPT131WA top-case plate, JP131WB reinforced luggage rack, and JST131WC sliding luggage rack. This page retains the kits that combine the side frames with one of the three top-case supports.

Do they fit the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure?

The panniers and top case are identical. The frames are not: the Adventure uses the JP151B for the side cases and the JP151WPRO for the rear, because the subframe is different.
