Description LOBOO CONQUEROR – Panniers, Top Case, and Aluminum Frames for BMW R 1300 GS

The LOBOO CONQUEROR system for the BMW R 1300 GS is a complete aluminum range: two 45-liter side cases, a 40-liter top case, and model-specific racks. Cases and racks are purchased separately, so you can start with what you need and add to it later.

Patented 9-point mounting

The case and rack connect at nine support points, covered by utility model patent no. ZL 2017 2 0624675.2. The setup remains rigid, without the rattling typically found in systems with two or three attachment points after a few thousand kilometers.

The release mechanism is precisely calibrated: in a sideways fall, the case stays in place, while in a severe frontal impact it is designed to detach, preventing the impact from being transferred to the motorcycle's subframe.

Which rack to choose

For the R 1300 GS, LOBOO offers four solutions, and the choice depends on what you are mounting and how much you want to spend.

  • JP131B side rack: required for the side cases. It is mandatory if you choose the 45 L cases.
  • JPT131WA top case plate: the most economical solution for the top case; it mounts onto the luggage rack.
  • PRO JP131WB rear luggage rack: a complete structure that replaces the original luggage rack and is more rigid.
  • PTC JST131WC sliding luggage rack: allows you to move the top case forward or backward relative to the wheel axle, bringing the center of gravity between the wheels instead of over the tail. The difference is noticeable with a passenger on board.

The selector also includes kits combining the side rack and luggage rack at a lower price than purchasing the parts individually.

How the cases are made

  • High-strength aluminum alloy panels, anodized for corrosion resistance, available in Black or Silver
  • Rubber bumpers and Case Protectors on the corners: they absorb impacts and increase ground friction during a slide
  • One-piece CNC-machined sealing frame, with rubber gaskets, German rivets, and Swiss adhesive
  • 60-lumen, IP66 sensor-activated interior light: it turns on when opened and can be removed to become a headlamp
  • Flocked interior lining that will not scratch your helmet, with document pockets in the lid
  • Aluminum hinge with an integrated stop and a through-mounted extension bar on the lid

Compatibility

This page covers the BMW R 1300 GS from 2023 onward. The R 1300 GS Adventure requires different racks, codes JP151B and JP151WPRO; the cases and top case are the same. If you have an R 1250 GS or an R 1200 GS, the CONQUEROR series is also available for those models with dedicated racks.

If in doubt, write to us with your model, year, and whether you have the original luggage rack installed.

What is included

Each case includes an interior light, footrest cushion, lid storage pouches, and keys. The racks include the mounting hardware.

Why choose it

It's a system, not an accessory. It's worth the investment if:

  • You travel heavily loaded and with a passenger, where the lever effect of the top case on the subframe is really felt
  • You cover serious mileage and want a mounting system that won't start rattling after the first trip
  • You also ride off-road and need an aluminum shell that can withstand an impact
  • You want to start with one piece and complete the system over time, without having to buy everything again

If you cover just a few hundred kilometers a year and don't carry a passenger, a waterproof soft bag does the same job at a fraction of the price.

Who is it recommended for

How to compose the system:

  • Top case only: 40 L C40T plus JPT131WA plate. This is the most economical combination to start with.
  • Side cases only: 45+45 L pair plus JP131B frame, mandatory.
  • Complete system: side case pair, top case, and one of the frame plus rack kits, which cost less than separate parts.
  • With passenger: choose the kit with the JST131WC sliding rack. This is the one that brings the center of gravity between the wheels.

Colors: Black and Silver for the cases, only Silver for frames and racks.

  • Respect the maximum load capacity of the frame and luggage rack indicated by BMW: the system does not increase it.
  • Distribute the weight by keeping the heaviest load low and close to the wheel axle.
  • The load must not cover the license plate and rear lights or protrude beyond the limits set by the Highway Code.
  • Recheck the frame's tightening after the first few kilometers and at each service.
  • The release in case of frontal impact is a design feature declared by the manufacturer, not an approved safety device.
  • The manufacturer's warranty is 12 months and does not replace the 24-month legal guarantee of conformity provided for the consumer.

Systems with two or three attachment points have play from the outset, and the play increases with mileage: after a few thousand, rattling starts over patched roads. Here, the case and frame connect at nine points, covered by a utility model patent.

The release is calibrated: in a side fall, the case stays in place, while in a strong frontal impact it is designed to detach so as not to transfer the impact to the subframe. This is a design choice declared by the manufacturer, not a type-approved device.

The side cases do not mount directly to the motorcycle’s subframe: you need the JP131B pannier rack, made of stainless steel and specifically designed for the R 1300 GS. It supports the load and distributes the strain across the mounting points provided by BMW.

It comes complete with brackets and hardware. If you also get the top case, check out the kits: the rack and luggage carrier together cost less than when purchased separately.

A fully loaded top case mounted high and far back increases leverage on the subframe. At highway speeds, the front end becomes lighter, and with a passenger on board, the rear suspension is already at its limit before you even load up.

The JST131WC PTC-series sliding luggage rack lets you move the top case forward or backward relative to the wheel axle. Shift it a few centimeters and the center of gravity returns where it belongs: between the wheels, not over the tail. It’s the difference between traveling as a couple and traveling well as a couple.

If you only need the 40-liter top case, the JPT131WA mounting plate is the quickest option and the least expensive item on the entire sheet. It mounts on the luggage rack—nothing to remove and no structures to replace.

It’s also the only part shared with the R 1300 GS Adventure, so if you switch bikes but stay within the GS family, you won’t need to buy it again.

On the R 1300 GS, the two side cases are identical: 45 liters on the left and 45 on the right, for 90 liters in total. You don't need the asymmetrical version that on other GS models curves around the exhaust.

Adding the 40-liter top case brings the total to 130 liters: that's enough luggage for two people for two weeks, without strapping anything onto the seat.

Black anodized aluminum better conceals superficial scratches and looks good on dark GS models. Silver is the classic shipping finish, recognizable from a distance, and abrasions are less noticeable because the metal underneath is the same color.

Silver is cheaper than black at list price: about 80 euros less for the pair of panniers and 45 less for the top case. If you have no aesthetic preference, it is the more economical choice. The frames are available only in Silver.

Which rack do I need for the side cases?

The JP131B is the specific stainless-steel side pannier rack for the R 1300 GS. It is mandatory: the 45-liter cases cannot be mounted without it. You can find it in the selector as a standalone part or included in the kits, where it costs less than buying it separately together with the luggage rack.

What’s the difference between a plate, a PRO luggage rack, and a sliding luggage rack?

These are three different ways to mount the top case. The JPT131WA plate is the most economical solution and rests on the luggage rack. The JP131WB PRO version is a complete structure that replaces the original luggage rack and is more rigid. The PTC series JST131WC is adjustable: it allows you to move the top case forward or backward relative to the wheel axle.

If you travel alone and carry little, the plate is sufficient. If you carry a passenger, the adjustable version is the one that really moves the center of gravity where it needs to be.

Can I buy just the top case or just the panniers?

Yes. In the selector, each component can be purchased separately: a pair of side cases, a top case, a rack, a mounting plate, or a luggage rack. Many start with the top case and the JPT131WA mounting plate, which is the most economical combination to begin with, and add the side cases with the rack later.

Do they fit the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure?

The panniers and top case are identical. The frames are not: the Adventure uses the JP151B for the side cases and the JP151WPRO for the rear, because the subframe is different. The only shared part is the JPT131WA top-case plate, which LOBOO lists for both models. Write to us and we’ll point you toward the right configuration.

How much cargo can it hold in total?

130 liters: 45 for each side case and 40 in the top case. That’s enough luggage for two people for two weeks without strapping anything onto the seat. However, always respect the maximum load capacity of the subframe specified by BMW: the system does not increase it.

Are they really waterproof?

On an aluminum suitcase, water gets in through the joints, not the walls. LOBOO machines the sealing frame from a single piece using CNC, resulting in fewer joints, and seals it with rubber gaskets, German-made rivets, and Swiss adhesive. No IP rating is declared for the suitcase body; the internal light, however, is IP66.

Will a full-face helmet fit in the 40 L top case?

Yes, forty liters are enough for a full-face helmet plus the essentials for the day. The interior is flock-lined for this very reason: the shell and visor rest on soft fabric rather than bare aluminum. The lid also has document pockets and a sensor light that turns on when opened.

Do the suitcases come off if you fall?

It depends on the type of impact, and it is intentional. In a side fall or a slide, the case remains attached. In a strong frontal impact, the system is designed to let it detach so that it does not transfer all the energy to the motorcycle’s subframe. LOBOO states that this is a design choice: it is not an approved safety device.
