Aluminum motorcycle side cases, from 30 to 45 liters

The cases in the CONQUEROR series are always the same: what changes from one motorcycle to another is the frame they attach to. You choose the frame for your model separately, and if you change motorcycles one day, you change the frame: the cases remain yours.

What you can choose

  • C45L — 45 L left, 527 × 315 × 380 mm, also available individually
  • C45R — 45 L right, also available individually
  • C38R — 38 L right, 527 × 291 × 380 mm, with a recess for the exhaust, also available individually
  • C35L + C30R pair — 35 L left and 30 L right, 488 × 267 × 397 mm and 488 × 243 × 397 mm, 5.7 and 5.28 kg

All are available in black and silver. The 45 and 38 can also be purchased individually, which is useful if you need a single replacement; the 35 and 30 are sold as a pair, complete with left and right cases.

Why the right cases are narrower

The exhaust runs along the right side. The right cases have a recess in the lower section to make room for it: depth decreases from 291 to 236 mm on the C38R and from 243 to 207 mm on the C30R. That is why the pairs are asymmetrical — 45+38, 35+30 — and why the symmetrical 45+45 setup is used only where the exhaust outlet does not get in the way.

Nine-point mounting

The quick-release system is patented and locks the case to the frame at nine points. This eliminates play: a case that moves by one millimeter, after thousands of kilometers of off-road riding, has worn the mounting points. Less play means less vibration, less noise, and less stress over time.

Construction

High-strength aluminum alloy with an anodized finish, a CNC-machined aluminum sealing frame integrated into the lid, rubber gaskets, an aluminum-alloy hinge with an opening stop, an aluminum handle, and structural plastic corner guards on the lower corners. The structure is riveted: damaged components can be replaced one by one without replacing the case.

The lock is a Taiwanese-made cylinder with five spring-loaded plates, removable and replaceable. Make a note of the number printed on the key.

Inside

Flocked lining, a storage pocket in the lid secured by elastic straps, and an aluminum extension rod running across the lid for securing a tent or waterproof bags.

Loading and use

The manual states 10 kg per individual side case. With the cases mounted, the motorcycle is wider: the manufacturer recommends taking this into account and checking the tightness of the frame and mounts before every trip. For cleaning, use a water jet from at least one meter away and a neutral detergent: never use acidic or alkaline products, which damage the anodized finish.

Perché l'aggancio a nove punti non è un numero da brochure: è quello che tiene ferma la valigia sul telaio, e una valigia che non balla non consuma gli attacchi. Who is it recommended for

A chi viaggia lontano e carica davvero: dieci chili per valigia, e un guscio in alluminio che regge una caduta senza aprirsi. A chi tiene la moto molti anni e non vuole legare le valigie a un modello solo, perché cambiando moto basta cambiare il telaio. E a chi ha già una coppia LOBOO e ha bisogno di un ricambio singolo.

Meno adatta a chi cerca leggerezza sopra ogni cosa o fa quasi solo fuoristrada tecnico: lì una borsa morbida perdona di più, sia alla moto sia alla gamba.

Documents and manufacturer

LOBOO non pubblica un grado di protezione IP per le valigie della serie CONQUEROR, né in manuale né sui pannelli tecnici: dichiara la costruzione a tenuta, con telaio in alluminio CNC, guarnizioni in gomma, rivetti e adesivo strutturale, ma nessun valore certificato. Non lo riportiamo. L'unico grado IP presente nella documentazione, IP66, riguarda la lampada LR08.

Il sistema di aggancio rapido è coperto da brevetto, il cui numero è riportato sui pannelli tecnici del produttore. Avvertenze d'uso dal manuale: non superare i 10 kg per valigia laterale, verificare il serraggio di telaio e attacchi prima di ogni viaggio e adeguare la guida alla maggiore larghezza della moto.

The case itself is always the same: what changes from one motorcycle to another is the frame it attaches to. This means that if you change motorcycles in the future, you won’t have to throw away the cases—you’ll just replace the frame. That’s also why you’ll find the case sold separately here: the frame for your model is a separate item.

The patented quick-release system locks the case to the frame at nine points. The point isn’t theft protection; it’s eliminating play: a case that moves by a millimeter on the frame after ten thousand kilometers of dirt roads will have worn down the mounts. Nine contact points eliminate that play, along with the vibration and noise.

The exhaust runs along the right side, and the right-side cases in the series have a recess at the bottom that leaves room for it: the depth decreases from 291 to 236 mm on the C38R and from 243 to 207 mm on the C30R. LOBOO specifies a high-strength aluminum alloy, and that choice matters more than the sheet-metal thickness. A soft alloy absorbs the impact by deforming and stays bent; a hard alloy takes the hit and springs back, or gets marked without giving way. On a case that regularly encounters rocks and falls onto its side, it is the difference between a dent and a lid that no longer closes.

High-strength aluminum alloy body with an anodized finish. On anodized aluminum, a scratch stays a scratch: there’s no paint to peel off and no iron underneath to start rusting. Structural plastic bumpers protect the lower corners, where a fall is most likely to land first.

When the motorcycle goes down, the pannier does not rest flat; it rests on a lower corner. That is where the structural plastic protectors are, and they scrape and wear down instead of the aluminum. They are also the easiest part of the pannier to replace, and it makes sense for them to be that way.

The water resistance of an aluminum suitcase does not depend on the shell, which is full of joints, but on how those joints are sealed. LOBOO states that it uses rubber gaskets around the perimeter, German-made rivets, and Swiss structural adhesive on the connections. These are the three points where water gets in, when it does.

However, it does not publish an IP rating for the cases, and we do not invent one: the only IP rating that appears in the documentation, IP66, is for the lamp, not the case.

The hinge is made of aluminum alloy and has an integrated opening stop: the lid stays up on its own while you look for something inside, instead of falling back onto your hand or opening beyond the point the hinge can support. It’s one of those details you only notice when they’re missing.

The manual states a maximum load of 10 kg per side and asks you to check that the frame is securely tightened before setting off and to account for the motorcycle’s greater width. One additional tip: write down the number printed on the key. The cylinder can be removed and replaced, but duplicating the key without that number is complicated.

Detached from the motorcycle, a full 45-liter suitcase is heavy. The handle is made of aluminum alloy, not a sewn strap: you can carry it into a hotel with one hand, and it bears the weight without cutting into your fingers.

The structure is riveted, and the manufacturer states that damaged components can be replaced individually. A bent hinge, a cracked bumper, a deformed latch: replace the part, not the suitcase. That is the difference between a container and a tool built to last.

Inside the lid, there’s a pocket secured by elastic straps, divided to keep small items separate: documents, tools, spare gloves. They’re the things that end up at the bottom of a large suitcase, underneath everything else, just when you need them.

The inner walls are coated with a flocked finish, a velvety surface that cushions contact. It serves two purposes: whatever you put inside doesn’t bang against the metal, and the metal doesn’t reverberate with every stone like a resonating chamber.

An aluminum bar runs all the way through the cover. Thread a strap through it and secure your tent, sleeping mat, dry bag—anything that won’t fit inside on a long journey and would otherwise end up tied awkwardly to the saddle.

Will these suitcases fit on my motorcycle?

The cases are universal: what changes from one motorcycle to another is the frame they attach to. The case body is always the same; the frame is model-specific and purchased separately. Tell us which motorcycle you have, and we’ll point you to the right frame.

Because the exhaust runs along the right side. The C38R and C30R have a recess at the bottom that leaves room for the exhaust tip: the depth decreases from 291 to 236 mm on the 38 L and from 243 to 207 mm on the 30 L. That is why the pair is not symmetrical.

Can the 35- and 30-liter ones be purchased individually?

No, the left 35 and right 30 are sold only as a pair, in black or silver. The 45 and 38, on the other hand, can also be purchased individually, which is useful if you need a single replacement.

Which pair to choose depends on the motorcycle: where the exhaust runs low and narrow, the symmetrical 45+45 is used; where space is limited, the 45+38 or 35+30 is used. Your model's frame determines which combination is specified.

How much can I load into it?

The manual states 10 kg per individual side case. This is not a precautionary limit to ignore: the weight places stress on the frame and attachment points, and exceeding it is the quickest way to break something off-road.

Are they waterproof?

LOBOO states that its cases use rubber seals, a CNC-machined aluminum sealing frame, German rivets, and Swiss adhesive, but it does not publish an IP rating for the cases. We do not report one, because it would be a value not certified by the manufacturer. The only IP rating in the documentation is IP66, and it refers to the LR08 lamp, not the cases.

What does nine-point hitch mean?

The patented quick-release system locks the case to the frame at nine points instead of the usual two or three. It eliminates play: less play means less vibration, less noise, and less stress on the mounts during extended use.

If I break one suitcase, do I have to buy the pair again?

No, and that is why we also sell them individually. The structure is riveted, and the manufacturer states that damaged components can be replaced one by one without replacing the entire case.

How does the lock work?

It is a Taiwanese-made cylinder with five removable and replaceable spring plates. Make a note of the number printed on the key: if it is lost, that is the number needed to make a copy.

What’s in the lid?

A storage pocket held in place by elastic straps, for tools and documents, with flocked lining to prevent whatever you put inside from banging against the walls. On the outside, an aluminum extension pole passes through the lid, allowing you to attach a tent or waterproof bags.

Is the frame included?

No. Here you buy the pannier; the frame is a separate item, specific to your motorcycle model, and it is what makes the same panniers mountable on different motorcycles.

How do you wash them?

Keep the water jet at least one meter away, then use a soft brush or cloth with a neutral detergent. Never use acidic or alkaline detergents: they irreversibly damage the anodized finish. Dry immediately after washing.

Does anything change in the guide?

Yes, and the manual states it clearly: with the panniers mounted, the motorcycle is wider, and this must be taken into account in traffic, in narrow passages, and when determining speed. The manufacturer also recommends checking the tightness of the frame and mounts before every trip.
