In brief

With EICMA 2026 just fifteen days away, the most unexpected news isn't coming from Milan but from an Australian register: on October 16, Kawasaki registered a motorcycle called the KLE 650. In the same weeks, Triumph showed a 2027 Tiger 1200 with front radar and 19-inch wheels, including on the Rally Explorer; the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 appeared in its final version; KTM scheduled its press conference for November 3; and the TVS RTX 300 is arriving in Italy for €4,890.

Here you'll find only what has changed since our complete guide to the adventure bikes expected at EICMA 2026 was published, with the presentation schedule and a clear distinction between official information, filed documents, and rumors.

  • Kawasaki KLE 650: registered in Australia on October 16, no official technical specifications.
  • Triumph Tiger 1200 2027: unveiled on October 27; the teaser shows front radar and a more powerful engine.
  • Triumph Tiger 900 2027: more powerful engine announced, full specifications on December 15.
  • KTM: press conference on November 3 at 10:45, hall 22, with a focus on off-road.
  • Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour 2027: €28,990, available at dealerships from November.

The schedule is the real news: eight dates to mark

Previews are no longer all concentrated on the days of the show. Some manufacturers are getting ahead of it, while others are holding back specifications until December.

Royal Enfield is deliberately omitted from the table. The CEO named EICMA as the venue for the 750 platform’s debut, but as of October 20, the manufacturer hadn’t announced the conference date and time.

Kawasaki KLE 650: the surprise comes from an Australian registry

A historic name, an official document and almost no data. It’s the freshest news of the past two weeks.

What’s official

According to German magazine MOTORRAD on October 17, Kawasaki registered a new model with the Australian transport authority, dated October 16, 2026: type LE650L, variant LE650N, trade name KLE 650 (SE). That’s all the document confirms.

The historical detail matters: in 2006, the first Versys 650 was originally designated the KLE 650, a name that was later dropped. Now the name is back on its own, without “Versys,” alongside the KLE500, which Kawasaki revived for 2026 and updated with Smartride for 2027.

The production Kawasaki KLE500 with Barkbusters handguards. There are no official images of the KLE 650 yet.
Category KLE500 SE (2027) Versys 650 (2027) KLE 650 (expected)
Engine 451 cc twin-cylinder 649 cc twin-cylinder Estimate: the same 650 engine as the Versys
Power 45 PS (33.4 kW), A2 license 67 PS at 8,500 rpm, Euro 5+ Not announced
Front wheel 21-inch spoked 17-inch cast alloy Estimate: 19- or 21-inch spoked wheels
Curb weight 199 kg (Kawasaki Europe) 219 kg with 21 liters MOTORRAD estimate: 220–230 kg
Price in Germany 7.695 € 9.070 € MOTORRAD estimate: under €10,000

German prices include delivery charges and are only useful for understanding the positioning: in Italy, the KLE500 SE costs €6,990 according to inSella, and there’s no price list at all for the KLE 650.

How to read the right-hand column. The KLE 650’s wheels, weight, engine and price are estimates by the German press, based on the Versys 650 and KLE500, not Kawasaki specifications. The Australian registration confirms that the bike exists and is called that; it doesn’t say whether it’ll come to Europe or whether we’ll see it in Milan.

Why this is news for travelers

Between the 45-hp KLE500 and the road-focused Versys 1100, Kawasaki currently has no mid-size twin-cylinder enduro. This is the segment where the Honda Transalp, Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE, Yamaha Ténéré 700 and upcoming Himalayan 750 compete. If the KLE 650 really gets the Versys 650 engine, it’ll be a bike with around 67 hp, putting it above the A2 license limit unless there’s a restricted version.

For now, the Endurrad catalog features accessories for the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the full range of Kawasaki accessories: none of these products is stated to be compatible with a motorcycle that doesn't exist yet. We've written about how the KLE500 SE Smartride 2027 works, the smaller sibling.

Triumph has shown more than expected: the 2027 Tiger 1200 gets front radar

The teaser released three weeks before the launch reveals quite a lot, especially for anyone fitting accessories to the front end.

Tiger 1200: what the teaser reveals

According to MOTORRAD's analysis on October 7, the front end is completely different: the beak starts lower, the daytime running light becomes a thin LED strip, and there appears to be a projector lens in the center. The space freed up houses a front radar for adaptive cruise control; until now, the Tiger 1200 only had rear radar for blind-spot monitoring.

The surprise is in the wheels. The teaser model, identified as the Rally Explorer, is fitted with 120/70 ZR19 and 170/60 ZR17 tires, while the current Rally Explorer uses 21- and 18-inch wheels. Triumph describes the suspension as the most advanced ever fitted to one of its motorcycles and announces a revised, more powerful 1,160 cm³ triple. MOTORRAD speculates about around 160 hp and a possible return to a 120-degree crankshaft instead of the T-Plane: these are the magazine's interpretations, not statements from the manufacturer.

Tiger 900: more power, details in December

On October 8, Triumph also announced the new Tiger 900: a more powerful and improved engine, revised chassis, more electronics, and next-generation connectivity as standard. Today, the 888 cm³ triple produces 108 hp at 9,500 rpm. It's unclear whether the displacement and T-Plane will remain; full specifications will arrive on December 15, after EICMA.

If you already own a Tiger
  • Accessories for your model remain compatible: your bike isn't changing
  • Panniers, crash bars, and handguards are chosen as usual, by year and version
If you're waiting for the 2027 model
  • Don't buy auxiliary light mounts or headlight guards before seeing the new front end
  • The front radar requires leaving the sensor area uncovered by accessories

We’ve gathered the dates and background in new Triumph Tiger 1200 and Tiger 900 2027. For current models, there are Triumph Tiger 1200 and Explorer accessories and Triumph Tiger 900 accessories.

The Himalayan 750 has been seen unveiled, in four colors

No more camouflage: the production version appeared during a photo shoot in India.

What emerged in October

At the beginning of October, several uncamouflaged bikes were photographed in Uttarakhand during a shoot for an official feature. MOTORRAD counted four color schemes: two solid colors, silver gray and bronze, and two multicolor liveries. Still confirmed are the 750 cc parallel twin derived from the 650, 19- and 17-inch wheels with alloy or spoked rims, an upside-down fork and Showa monoshock, and dual front discs with Bybre calipers.

Still rumors. Power between 55 and 60 hp, weight around 220 kg, a possible 48 hp A2 version, and a European price below €9,000 are press estimates. An Indian publication reports that tests for journalists will take place in Italy in October: Royal Enfield has not confirmed this.

The full picture is in Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: what's official and what's rumor. Those who ride the 450 can find accessories for the Royal Enfield Himalayan, which are not automatically compatible with the 750.

KTM returns to EICMA after a year away, focusing on off-road

The date and location are official. The models are not, and KTM has chosen not to let them slip.

The official schedule

KTM has confirmed a press conference for Tuesday, November 3, at 10:45 at stand E08 in Hall 22, dedicated to new products and technology, with models on display in the Adventure, Rally, Enduro, and Motocross segments. At 16:00 the same day, it will present the 2027 Rally Team. In 2025, in the midst of its restructuring, the brand was not present at the show.

The international press is awaiting the 990 Adventure and the new generation of the 790 Adventure, but KTM has not named any models. Meanwhile, the engine expected to power the 990 Adventure is already on the road: derived from the LC8c in the 990 Duke, it is used by the CFMOTO 1000MT-X, on sale in Italy and just announced in the United States as the Ibex 950 for $12,499.

The KTM update is in KTM 990 Adventure: what we really know; the Chinese bike with the same engine is covered in CFMOTO 1000MT-X: price, specifications and accessories. For those who already own an 890, there’s the KTM 890 Adventure accessories collection.

Ducati got ahead of the game, with prices already on the price list

Two 2027 Multistrada V4 models unveiled ahead of the show: a new livery and a fully equipped touring version.

Model Italian price What’s changed Availability
Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour 2027 28.990 € Exclusive livery; front and rear radar, lowering by up to 30 mm below 10 km/h, side cases and center stand as standard At European dealerships from November 2026
Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak 2027 33.590 € Only a new livery inspired by racing bikes; no technical changes Already available

Both use the 1,158 cm³, 170 hp V4 Granturismo engine. Italian prices as reported by Motorbox. Accessories for this family are in the Ducati Multistrada V4 accessories collection: here too, with a front radar, any protection or auxiliary light must be chosen so it doesn’t obstruct the sensor area.

The most affordable new model arrives in Italy first: TVS RTX 300

Italy is the first European market for the manufacturer’s small adventure bike, produced for BMW Motorrad in India.

What it offers

New 299.1 cm³ single-cylinder engine designed by TVS, 36 hp and 28.5 Nm, 19- and 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tires, 835 mm seat height, five-year warranty. It arrives at Italian dealerships in November 2026, through a network of around 150 outlets, according to the Indian press. It’s not a big-bore adventure bike and isn’t aimed at serious off-roading: right now, it’s the most accessible entry point in the segment.

Yamaha, BMW and Honda remain under wraps until Milan

Not all the expected launches have moved forward. Here’s what hasn’t changed since September.

  • Yamaha. The presentation is still scheduled for November 2 at 18:00 in Milan, with no name and no images. The name Ténéré 900 remains a media interpretation: here’s our analysis of the teaser.
  • BMW. No announcement about the M 1300 GS. According to MOTORRAD, the mid-size F 600 GS will only enter production in summer 2028: it’s hard to imagine seeing it at EICMA in its final form.
  • Honda. For 2027, it mainly announced new colors for the NT1100, X-ADV and NC750X. Nothing official on the Africa Twin: here’s what we know about the current lineup.
  • The show. At the October 13 conference, EICMA confirmed its biggest-ever edition in Rho: ten halls, around 30% new or returning direct exhibitors, 74% international brands, and the EICMA Adventouring area back in Hall 22.

Buy accessories now or wait for Milan? It depends on what you’re installing

The rule of thumb is simple: anything that attaches to the frame can wait until you have the bike; anything universal can’t.

You can buy it now
  • soft bags, tank bags and universal crash bar bags
  • charging sockets, tire repair kits, compressors
  • everything you need for the motorcycle you already own
Better to wait
  • pannier racks, crash bars and top case plates for a 2027 model
  • auxiliary light mounts and headlight guards for motorcycles with a new front end or radar
  • any accessory whose compatibility isn’t specified by year and version
