In brief. The CFMOTO 1000MT-X is the Chinese brand's new flagship adventure bike. It has a 946 cc parallel twin producing 112.9 hp and 105 Nm, 21- and 18-inch tubeless spoked wheels, fully adjustable KYB suspension with 230 mm of travel, and a generous standard equipment package. The official Italian list price is €10,490, but CFMOTO Italia is offering it for €9,990 ex-dealer, plus €300 for registration and on-road preparation.
There is a practical advantage for buyers: LOBOO lists the 800MT-X's side frames and luggage rack as compatible with the 1000MT-X too. So the cases can be fitted right away. In this guide, you'll find the specifications compared with the 800MT-X, what the first reviews say, what the bike comes with as standard, and which accessories are listed as compatible according to the manufacturer's manuals. You'll also find accessories that haven't yet been confirmed, which are best not bought without checking first.
An extra 200 cc and the same off-road chassis
The 1000MT-X builds on the 800MT-X, sharing its basic setup: a 21-inch wheel, steel frame and low-mounted fuel tank. The real difference lies in the engine and equipment.

| Specification | CFMOTO 1000MT-X | CFMOTO 800MT-X |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | CFMOTO 292MX parallel twin, 946.2 cc | Parallel twin, 799 cc |

| Dry weight | 206 kg | 205 kg |
| Fuel tank | 22.5 L, split and low-mounted | 22.5 L |
| Suspension | Adjustable KYB, 48 mm fork, 230 mm travel | Adjustable KYB, 48 mm fork, 230 mm (190 mm low version) |
| Wheels | 21" and 18" tubeless spoked wheels, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR | 21" and 18" spoked wheels |
| Brakes | Brembo, dual 320 mm front disc, 260 mm rear disc | - |
| Claimed fuel consumption | 21.7 km/l | - |
| Seat height | 870 mm (optional lowered seat and lowering kit) | 870 mm high, 830 mm low |
| Italian list price | €10,490 ex-dealer | €8,990 ex-dealer |
The official specification sheet calls the engine the CFMOTO 292MX. Publications differ on its origins. InMoto describes it as an evolution of the LC8c twin already used in the 800MT-X, with increased displacement. inSella links it to the KTM 990 Duke engine. The common ground is its connection to the KTM engine family, already familiar to those who know the 800MT-X.
The price is the headline: under €11,000 with all standard equipment
CFMOTO Italia’s website lists a price of €10,490, with a promotional price of €9,990 including VAT, ex-dealer. Registration and on-road preparation cost an additional €300.
The difference compared with the 800MT-X, listed at €8,990, is €1,500. For that amount, you get a jump from around 91 to nearly 113 hp, from 86 to 105 Nm, and a more comprehensive equipment package. The claimed weight remains practically the same. For those who travel a lot on the highway or ride two-up, the extra torque matters more than the extra power.
The €9,990 promotion started in June 2026 and is still listed as active on the importer’s website as of mid-October. CFMOTO Italia does not state an end date: it’s worth checking with the dealer before signing.
Early reviews praise the engine, brakes and price. Weight and electronics could use refinement
inSella and InMoto rode it on roads and dirt tracks between June and July 2026. Their assessments agree on almost everything.
- smooth engine that pulls from around 2,000 rpm and performs best above 4,000-4,500;
- high-speed stability, aided by the low-mounted fuel tank;
- precise KYB suspension and Brembo brakes that are easy to modulate, including off-road;
- good wind protection thanks to the adjustable windscreen;
- value for money: InMoto gives it 9 out of 10 in this category and an overall score of 8.2.
- the weight is noticeable in tight turns and at low speeds;
- traction control and ABS intervene early on rough terrain. InMoto recommends the mode that disables them for serious off-road riding;
- suspension is stiff over sharp bumps;
- Heat on the legs and seat, reported by inSella;
- Steering angle and handlebar position could be improved for standing riding.

For a touring motorcyclist, these are useful details. Heat and stiffness over bumps are especially noticeable on long days. The weight is more noticeable when the bike is loaded and during low-speed maneuvers, which become more demanding with panniers and a top case.
Before buying accessories, check what it already has
The 1000MT-X comes with equipment that costs extra on other adventure bikes. Knowing what it includes helps you avoid buying duplicates.
- Comfort: heated grips and seat, adjustable windscreen, cruise control.
- Electronics: 7" TFT touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, 6-axis inertial measurement unit, cornering ABS, adjustable traction control, four riding modes, bidirectional quickshifter.
- Charging: USB-A and USB-C ports.
- Safety and chassis: tire pressure and temperature sensors and an adjustable steering damper, according to the specifications listed by InMoto.
- Protection: Motorbox lists aluminum engine and oil pan guards. CFMOTO Italia’s official photos also show the bike with handguards and a rear luggage rack. The reviews do not list the handguards among the standard equipment: it’s worth asking the dealer whether they come standard on the imported motorcycle.

Heated grips, a USB socket, or an additional navigation system are therefore unnecessary. What’s missing is luggage, and the bike is already well covered here.
The panniers and top case already fit: LOBOO manuals mention the 1000MT-X
Accessories for a newly released motorcycle are rarely available right away. In this case, LOBOO has tested the 800MT-X frames and luggage rack on the 1000MT-X too, and the installation manual explicitly names it.
| Accessory | Code | Listed compatibility | Price | Availability |

| Rack with top case plate | JP601W | 450MT, 800MT, 800MT-X, 1000MT-X from 2026 | 113,00 € | Available |

Installation in brief
The JP601W luggage rack replaces the original rear plate and doesn’t require drilling. The manual lists seven components: the plate, spacers, M8 bolts in three lengths, and threadlocker. On the 1000MT-X, as on the 450MT and 800MT-X, use M8×60 bolts. All M8 bolts must be tightened to 20 N·m. LOBOO recommends not fully tightening them until the plate is aligned. The JP603B side frames have a 12-item parts list, including left and right frames, a rear crossbar, brackets, and spacers.
Two things to know. LOBOO aluminum cases fit only LOBOO frames, and rigid cases from other brands don’t fit LOBOO frames. The PIKE TRACKER pair is asymmetrical, with 35 liters on the left and 30 on the right, because the right case is shaped to leave room for the exhaust. Compare aluminum and semi-rigid cases in the guide aluminum, semi-rigid, or soft luggage.
What fits the 800MT-X but hasn’t yet been listed for the 1000MT-X
The two bikes look similar, so it’s tempting to buy everything in the 800MT-X catalog. However, the manufacturer hasn’t yet listed the 1000MT-X for some accessories.
If you’re interested in any of these accessories, write to us. We’ll check with the distributor before you order. We follow the same rule for every new motorcycle: we don’t assume compatibility unless it’s stated.
Three cases, up to 110 liters: the touring setup
With LOBOO frames and luggage rack, you can create a complete three-case system. It’s the luggage you need for a week-long trip for two or a long trip on your own.
| Configuration | Total volume | Components |
|---|---|---|
| Top case only | 36 or 45 L | JP601W luggage rack + PIKE TRACKER top case |
| Aluminum side cases | 65 L | JP603B frames + PIKE TRACKER 35+30 |
| Full aluminum system | 101 or 110 L | 35+30 L side cases + 36 or 45 L top case |
| Semi-rigid side cases | 70 L, plus 2 20 L bags | JP603B frames + Wanderer 40+30 |

Weight matters. LOBOO states that the pair of 35+30 side cases weighs 11.6 kg empty, excluding the frames. On a motorcycle weighing 206 kg dry, with travel cargo and perhaps a passenger, it makes sense to keep heavy items in the side cases and leave the helmet and light items in the top case. We explain how to distribute the load and how many liters you really need in the guide motorcycle bags: how to choose. Inside aluminum cases, inner bags help keep delicate items dry and let you unload your luggage at the hotel in one go.
