Two-seater electric moped with a removable lithium battery

Rolektro E-Chopper 45: the two-seater electric scooter for city travel and leisure

  • Rolektro-approved electric scooter with a top speed of 45 km/h, two-seat saddle, 3,000 W motor, and removable 60 V 25.6 Ah lithium battery. Available with one battery for approximately 55 km of range or two batteries for approximately 110 km. Maximum load 150 kg; under-seat storage compartment, alarm, and leather bag included. Can be ridden with an AM driving licence.

Description Two-Seater Electric Scooter 45 km/h Rolektro E-Chopper 45

Two people, no petrol and no noise. Up to 110 km if you choose the double battery.

The Rolektro E-Chopper 45 is an approved electric moped with a two-seater saddle: you can carry a passenger, something most electric scooters in this category do not allow.

The 3,000 W motor reaches 45 km/h even when fully loaded, with a maximum capacity of 150 kg. The 60V 25.6Ah lithium battery weighs about 8.6 kg and can be removed from the compartment under the saddle: you can take it home or to the office and recharge it from a normal outlet in 6–8 hours, without needing a garage with power.

Choose how many batteries you need. With one, you can cover about 55 km. With two, you can reach 110 km, and most importantly, you won't have to wait: when the first one runs out, you can swap it in less than a minute with the charged one.

Underneath, there are wide 18-inch tubeless tyres, a telescopic suspension fork, and two adjustable rear shock absorbers. Above, a digital display, smartphone holder with USB socket, a storage compartment under the saddle, and a standard alarm.

The design is that of a classic chopper: chrome headlight with daytime running ring, high handlebars, leather bag on the fork, backrest and footrests for the passenger.

It comes with a EU Certificate of Conformity (COC) for licence plate and registration. It can be ridden with an AM licence from 14 years old, or with the car licence you already have.

Why choose this vehicle
  1. Why does it exist?
Because moving around the city as a pair on an electric vehicle, without a motorcycle license and without fuel, is not a given: almost all electric scooters in this category are single-seater.
  2. Why choose it over other electric scooters?
For the combination of two-person seat, 150 kg load capacity, under-seat storage, integrated alarm, and the option to choose one or two batteries. And for a chopper design that resembles no other urban vehicle.
  3. Why is it reliable?
Steel tube frame, EU-approved vehicle with certificate of conformity, E-Mark lighting, and identifiable manufacturer — Soletek GmbH — with spare parts in the catalog.
  4. Why is the price justified?
Because the operating cost is around €0.80–0.90 per 100 km, with no oil, spark plug, filters, or belt. And because by choosing the dual battery at the initial purchase, you acquire the most expensive component under better conditions than buying it separately later.
  5. Why does it improve the user's day?
Because it eliminates the car for short two-person trips, and with the dual battery, it also eliminates range anxiety: when one runs out, you install another, without waiting six hours.
Who is it recommended for
  • Couples and familieswho want to get around as a pair without using a car for short trips
  • Commuterswith long routes or no charging options at work: with the second battery, you can cover both ways
  • Those living in tourist areas, where the vehicle is also used to give someone a ride
  • Students aged 14 and overwith an AM license, driving alone up to 18 years old
  • Those without a garage: the battery can be removed and charged at home

Not suitable forinterurban travel on high-speed roads, routes with gradients exceeding 20%, or loads over 150 kg in total.

License plate, insurance, and driver's license

The E-Chopper 45 is a moped. Therefore, everything that applies to a 50cc moped applies to it: driver's license, license plate, insurance, and helmet. With one additional rule, because it is a two-seater.

Driver's license

You need an AM license, which can be obtained in Italy from the age of 14. A1, A2, A, and Blicenses are also valid, as they include AM endorsement. If you have a car license, you are already qualified.

Passenger transport

The vehicle is approved for two people, but on two-wheeled mopeds, passenger transport is only allowed if the seat is indicated on the registration certificate and the driver is at least 18 years old. A fourteen-year-old with an AM license can therefore drive it, but only alone.

License plate and registration certificate

The vehicle must be registered. The procedure is carried out at the Motor Vehicle Registration Officeor through a car practice agency, based on the EU Certificate of Conformity (COC)included in the supply.

Third-party liability insurance

Third-party liability insurance is mandatory, even when the vehicle is stationary on public land. Check that the policy also covers passenger transport.

Helmet

Mandatory for both, driver and passenger, without age limits.

Where you can circulate

On the roadway, like any moped. Noton sidewalks, bike paths, or pedestrian areas. Access to LTZs is generally favored for electric vehicles, but the rules are set by each individual Municipality.

Endurrad does not provide insurance advice. For the registration procedure, refer to the documentation provided with the vehicle and the competent Motor Vehicle Registration Office.

Choose how many batteries you need

With one battery, you can cover about 55 km—enough for a commute of up to 25 km each way, with overnight charging.

With two you get about 110 km, and above all, you don't have to wait: one battery pack powers the vehicle while the other charges at home. When the first one runs out, you swap them in under a minute instead of stopping for six hours.

You can also add the second battery later, but buying it separately costs significantly more.

It can be removed with one hand and weighs 8.6 kg.

The compartment under the seat houses the battery with an integrated handle and quick connector. You can release it, take it home or to the office, and plug it into a standard outlet: in 6–8 hours it is fully charged.

If you don't have a garage with electricity, this detail alone changes whether the purchase is feasible.

Opening seat with storage compartment

Opening seat with storage compartment

The bench lifts on a hinge, revealing space underneath for the batteries and for items you don’t want to carry on you. It’s the storage compartment that electric scooters don’t have, and in everyday use it makes the difference between a comfortable vehicle and one you merely put up with.

Bench seat, backrest, footrest

The profile shows what matters for those traveling two-up: a continuous padded bench 790 mm above the ground, the rear backrest and dedicated passenger footrests.

The maximum load capacity is 150 kg, including the rider, passenger, and luggage.

Digital display, everything at a glance

Instantaneous speed, battery charge as a percentage and displayed in bars, assistance level from 1 to 4, odometer, lights and turn signal indicators. The indicator READY confirms that the vehicle is ready to start.

Chrome headlight with daytime running light ring

Chrome headlight with daytime running light ring

Classic-style round headlight, but entirely LED: low beam, high beam, and daytime running ring that makes the vehicle visible even during the day. The system is E-Mark certified and includes the brake light, rear light, and turn signals.

Below the headlight, the chrome horn completes the front end.

Smartphone holder and standard USB port

Smartphone holder and standard USB port

The clamp mount holds your phone securely even on cobblestones, and theUSB portnext to the knob keeps it charged while you use it for navigation. The light, turn-signal, and horn controls all remain within reach without taking your hand off the handlebars.

Adjustable dual rear shock absorber

Adjustable dual rear shock absorber

Two spring shock absorbers with anodized aluminum bodies and adjustable preload let you adapt the setup to the load: whether riding alone or with a passenger, ground clearance and behavior over bumps remain consistent.

A damped telescopic fork handles the front. Together with the wide tires, they smooth out cobblestones, tram tracks, and lowered curbs.

Leather bag with studs included

Leather bag with studs included

Attached to the seat tube with two straps and metal buckles, it is the detail that completes the chopper aesthetic while providing additional storage for documents, chargers, and locks. It is included with the product, not an accessory to purchase separately.

18-inch wide tubeless tires

18-inch wide tubeless tires

Size 9.5–18" front and rear, wheel diameter approximately 45 cm, tubeless. The wide profile increases the contact patch and makes the vehicle insensitive to tram tracks, grates, and expansion joints—the hazards that cause most falls in the city.

The passenger seat

Padded backrest on a tubular frame, grab handle, and license plate holder prepared with a light and reflector. The passenger in back gets real support, not just a leftover section of seat.

The two views show the actual dimensions and the rear LED light signature. Despite its two-person seat, it fits in a standard motorcycle parking space, and at 82.6 kg it can be moved effortlessly by hand on level ground.

How others see you in the evening

How others see you in the evening

Headlight, daytime running light, and orange turn signals in operation. On a two-wheeled vehicle, being seen is the first form of active safety, and the E-Mark system is designed precisely for this.

Flat footboard and center stand

Flat footboard and center stand

The wide, non-slip platform leaves room for your feet in any position and lets you carry a shopping bag between your legs. The kickstand supports the vehicle on asphalt and gravel.

High handlebars, relaxed riding position

High handlebars, relaxed riding position

The handlebar, positioned 1,000 mm above the ground, enforces an upright riding position, with the arms open and the weight resting on the saddle rather than the wrists. It’s the cruiser posture, and on repeated journeys, you feel it in your back by the end of the day.

Chrome fork and wraparound fender

Chrome fork and wraparound fender

Exposed chrome struts, a glossy-painted front fender that follows the tire’s entire circumference, and a tubular steel frame. The finishes are those of a vehicle designed to be admired as well as used.

The rear, where the mechanics work

The rear, where the mechanics work

Red shock absorbers, a motor in the rear hub, and a drum brake protected from water and dirt. The drum requires less maintenance than a disc and withstands mud and debris better: on the rear of an urban moped, it is a sensible choice.

FAQs

For more information, see our Frequently Asked Questions ( FAQ ).

Can you carry a passenger?

Yes, the E-Chopper 45 is approved for two people and has a bench seat with a backrest and rear footrests. Please note an Italian rule: on mopeds, a passenger is allowed only if the rider is at least18 years old. Helmets are mandatory for both.

One battery or two?

It depends on your journey. One battery covers approximately 55 km: sufficient for a commute of up to 25 km each way, with overnight charging.

Two batteries extend the range to approximately 110 km and, above all, eliminate the wait: when the first one runs out, you install the second instead of stopping for six hours. It makes sense if you travel longer distances, often travel with two people, or cannot recharge during the day.

You can also add the second battery later, but buying it separately costs significantly more.

In the dual-battery version, do they work together?

No, they alternate. You install one onboard and keep the other charging or as a spare; when the first runs out, you swap them in under a minute. So the 110 km is the combined distance of two 55 km trips, not continuous range without intervention.

What driver’s license is required?

The AM licence, available from the age of 14. A1, A2, A and B licences are also accepted: if you have a car licence, you’re already authorised.

Do you need the license plate and insurance?

Yes, both. It is fully classified as a moped. The package includes the EU Certificate of Conformity (COC), which you can use to apply for a license plate and registration certificate; you can take out compulsory third-party liability insurance with the insurer of your choice, making sure it also covers the passenger.

Can I charge if I don't have an outlet in my garage?

Yes. The battery weighs approximately 8.6 kg, can be removed from the compartment under the seat, and can be recharged anywhere there is a household outlet. With the dual-battery version, you can always keep one charging at home.

How much does a top-up cost?

Approximately €0.45–€0.50 per battery at €0.25/kWh, or around €0.80–€0.90 per 100 km. Each pack stores approximately 1.54 kWh, so the cost per kilometre does not change between the two variants.

What brakes does it have?

Disc at the front and drum at the rear. This is the typical combined braking system for mopeds: the front disc provides the main braking power, while the rear drum is better protected from water and dirt and requires less maintenance.

Is there room for a helmet?

Yes, there is a storage compartment under the seat. In addition, the leather bag on the steering tube is included, along with the smartphone holder.

How does it arrive at home? Do I have to assemble it myself?

We deliver it ourselves, using our own vehicles, throughout Italy within 7–10 business days of order confirmation. It arrives already assembled and ready to use, with the battery—or both, depending on the selected variant—and all certifications included.

Can I use it in the rain?

It is a road vehicle designed for everyday use. Avoid directing pressurized water jets at electrical components and the battery, and avoid prolonged outdoor storage without cover. For specific limitations, refer to the manual.

What maintenance does it require?

Much less than a combustion-engine vehicle: check tire pressure every 2–3 weeks, inspect the brake pads and shoes, tighten the fasteners, and take care of the battery. No oil, spark plugs, filters, or drive belt.
