Two people, no petrol and no noise. Up to 110 km if you choose the double battery.

The Rolektro E-Chopper 45 is an approved electric moped with a two-seater saddle: you can carry a passenger, something most electric scooters in this category do not allow.

The 3,000 W motor reaches 45 km/h even when fully loaded, with a maximum capacity of 150 kg. The 60V 25.6Ah lithium battery weighs about 8.6 kg and can be removed from the compartment under the saddle: you can take it home or to the office and recharge it from a normal outlet in 6–8 hours, without needing a garage with power.

Choose how many batteries you need. With one, you can cover about 55 km. With two, you can reach 110 km, and most importantly, you won't have to wait: when the first one runs out, you can swap it in less than a minute with the charged one.

Underneath, there are wide 18-inch tubeless tyres, a telescopic suspension fork, and two adjustable rear shock absorbers. Above, a digital display, smartphone holder with USB socket, a storage compartment under the saddle, and a standard alarm.

The design is that of a classic chopper: chrome headlight with daytime running ring, high handlebars, leather bag on the fork, backrest and footrests for the passenger.

It comes with a EU Certificate of Conformity (COC) for licence plate and registration. It can be ridden with an AM licence from 14 years old, or with the car licence you already have.

Why choose this vehicle
  1. Why does it exist?
    Because moving around the city as a pair on an electric vehicle, without a motorcycle license and without fuel, is not a given: almost all electric scooters in this category are single-seater.
  2. Why choose it over other electric scooters?
    For the combination of two-person seat, 150 kg load capacity, under-seat storage, integrated alarm, and the option to choose one or two batteries. And for a chopper design that resembles no other urban vehicle.
  3. Why is it reliable?
    Steel tube frame, EU-approved vehicle with certificate of conformity, E-Mark lighting, and identifiable manufacturer — Soletek GmbH — with spare parts in the catalog.
  4. Why is the price justified?
    Because the operating cost is around €0.80–0.90 per 100 km, with no oil, spark plug, filters, or belt. And because by choosing the dual battery at the initial purchase, you acquire the most expensive component under better conditions than buying it separately later.

    Because it eliminates the car for short two-person trips, and with the dual battery, it also eliminates range anxiety: when one runs out, you install another, without waiting six hours.

License plate, insurance, and driver's license

The E-Chopper 45 is a moped. Therefore, everything that applies to a 50cc moped applies to it: driver's license, license plate, insurance, and helmet. With one additional rule, because it is a two-seater.

Driver's license

You need an AM license, which can be obtained in Italy from the age of 14. A1, A2, A, and Blicenses are also valid, as they include AM endorsement. If you have a car license, you are already qualified.

Passenger transport

The vehicle is approved for two people, but on two-wheeled mopeds, passenger transport is only allowed if the seat is indicated on the registration certificate and the driver is at least 18 years old. A fourteen-year-old with an AM license can therefore drive it, but only alone.

License plate and registration certificate

The vehicle must be registered. The procedure is carried out at the Motor Vehicle Registration Officeor through a car practice agency, based on the EU Certificate of Conformity (COC)included in the supply.

Third-party liability insurance

Third-party liability insurance is mandatory, even when the vehicle is stationary on public land. Check that the policy also covers passenger transport.

Helmet

Mandatory for both, driver and passenger, without age limits.

Where you can circulate

On the roadway, like any moped. Noton sidewalks, bike paths, or pedestrian areas. Access to LTZs is generally favored for electric vehicles, but the rules are set by each individual Municipality.

Si può portare un passeggero?

Sì, l'E-Chopper 45 è omologato per due persone e ha una sella a panca con poggiaschiena e poggiapiedi posteriori. Attenzione a una regola italiana: sui ciclomotori il passeggero è ammesso solo se il conducente ha compiuto18 anni. Il casco è obbligatorio per entrambi.

Meglio una batteria o due?

Dipende dal tuo tragitto. Una batteria copre circa 55 km: sufficiente per un percorso casa-lavoro entro i 25 km per tratta, con ricarica notturna.

Due batterie portano l'autonomia a circa 110 km e, soprattutto, eliminano l'attesa: quando la prima si esaurisce monti la seconda invece di fermarti sei ore. Ha senso se percorri distanze maggiori, se viaggi spesso in due o se non puoi ricaricare durante la giornata.

La seconda batteria si può aggiungere anche in seguito, ma acquistandola separatamente costa sensibilmente di più.

Nella versione a due batterie funzionano insieme?

No, si alternano. Ne monti una a bordo e tieni l'altra in carica o di scorta: quando la prima si esaurisce le scambi in meno di un minuto. I 110 km sono quindi la somma di due tratte da 55, non un'autonomia continua senza interventi.

Che patente serve?

La patente AM, conseguibile dai 14 anni. Vanno bene anche A1, A2, A e B: se hai la patente auto sei già abilitato.

Serve la targa e l'assicurazione?

Sì, entrambe. È un ciclomotore a tutti gli effetti. Nella fornitura trovi il certificato di conformità UE (COC) con cui richiedere targa e certificato di circolazione; l'RCA la stipuli con la compagnia che preferisci, verificando che copra anche il passeggero.

Posso ricaricare se non ho una presa in garage?

Sì. La batteria pesa circa 8,6 kg, si estrae dal vano sotto la sella e si ricarica ovunque ci sia una presa domestica. Con la versione a due pacchi puoi tenerne uno sempre in carica in casa.

Quanto costa una ricarica?

Circa 0,45–0,50 € per batteria a 0,25 €/kWh, ovvero intorno a 0,80–0,90 € ogni 100 km. Ogni pacco immagazzina circa 1,54 kWh, quindi il costo per chilometro non cambia fra le due varianti.

Che freni monta?

Disco all'anteriore e tamburo al posteriore. È l'impianto combinato tipico dei ciclomotori: il disco davanti dà la potenza frenante principale, il tamburo dietro è più protetto da acqua e sporco e richiede meno manutenzione.

C'è spazio per il casco?

Sì, sotto la sella c'è un vano portaoggetti. In più la borsa in pelle sul cannotto è inclusa nella fornitura, insieme al supporto per lo smartphone.

Come arriva a casa? Devo montarlo io?

Lo consegniamo noi, con mezzi propri, in tutta Italia entro 48 ore dalla conferma dell'ordine. Arriva già montato e pronto all'uso, con la batteria — o entrambe, secondo la variante scelta — e tutte le certificazioni a bordo.

Posso usarlo sotto la pioggia?

È un veicolo stradale progettato per l'uso quotidiano. Evita getti d'acqua in pressione diretti su componenti elettrici e batteria, e il ricovero all'aperto prolungato senza copertura. Per i limiti specifici fai riferimento al manuale.

Che manutenzione richiede?

Molto meno di un termico: pressione pneumatici ogni 2–3 settimane, controllo di pastiglie e ganasce, serraggio bulloneria, cura della batteria. Niente olio, candela, filtri o cinghia di trasmissione.
