Barkbusters VPS, JET, STORM, and EGO protective plastics
Barkbusters plastic guards are a product category of their own: they mount onto the aluminum backbone you already have and remain interchangeable, even over time and in a different color. This is the right section if the backbone is already installed on your motorcycle and you want to change the guard, color, or type of coverage.
The series in the catalog
- VPS-203 — with a wind deflector adjustable to two positions, for adventure and touring. VPS-003 is the previous generation and is being phased out.
- JET-003 — compact profile without a deflector, for dual sport, enduro, and trail bikes.
- STM-003 — extended coverage from the STORM series, the largest in the range.
- BCF-003 — made of genuine hand-laminated carbon fiber, not recommended for off-road use.
- EGO-203 — designed for the EGO backbone, and that backbone only.
Before ordering
A plastic guard's compatibility depends on the backbone series it is mounted on, not on the motorcycle model. Each product page lists the compatible backbones, and the general rule has two opposite sides: VPS, JET, STORM, and CARBON fit all Barkbusters aluminum backbones except the EGO; EGO-203 guards fit only the EGO backbone.
Be careful not to confuse plastic guards with complete handguards: the VPS-207, for example, despite having a code similar to the VPS-203, is not a set of plastic guards but a complete single-point motocross handguard, with clamps and brackets included. If you don't have the backbone yet, first choose the mounting kit for your motorcycle or a universal kit.
