While supplies last
Generazione precedente della serie VPS, disponibile fino a esaurimento.
Compatibility, included items, installation, and documents: below is every detail verified against the official Barkbusters documentation.
VPS-003 is the previous generation of Barkbusters' VPS series protective plastics. It remains in the catalog while supplies last in the colors still available: the current code is VPS-203.
It is not a complete handguard. These are the plastics only, to be mounted on an already installed Barkbusters frame. The frame is a separate item: if you do not have one, choose the mounting kit for your motorcycle or a universal kit.
In two cases. If you already have a VPS-003 set on your motorcycle and want to replace one plastic while keeping the same design. Or if you need one of the remaining colors and the clearance price works for you.
In all other cases, choose the VPS-203: same application, a range of eleven colors, ongoing availability, and an adjustable two-position wind deflector included in the package.
| Frame | Compatibility |
|---|---|
| Barkbusters aluminum frames (BHG, BLG, universal) | Compatible |
| EGO frame | Not compatible |
The plastics' compatibility depends on the frame they are mounted on, not on the motorcycle model. Barkbusters states its compatibility information for vehicles in their original factory configuration.
Secure the plastics to the frame by aligning the holes and tightening without forcing them. Make sure there is approximately 3 mm of clearance between the end of the grip and the handguard so the throttle can close freely, and check the operation of the throttle, front brake, clutch, and engine stop switch before setting off. Barkbusters recommends using medium-strength threadlocker and asks you to check the tightness again after the first 50 km.
