Description Barkbusters VPS-203 handguard plastics with adjustable deflectors
The VPS-203 is the pair of protective plastics from Barkbusters' VPS series. It mounts onto an aluminum structure already installed on the motorcycle and renews it without affecting the rest of the system: it's the way to go after a crash, after a season spent riding through branches, or simply to change the color.
It is not a complete handguard. The package contains the two plastics, the two wind deflectors, and the eight screws needed to secure them. The mounting structure is a separate item: if you don't have one yet, choose the specific mounting kit for your motorcycle or a universal kit.
The deflector can be adjusted or removed
It's the feature that gives the series its name, Variable Protection System. The wind deflector—the upper wing that raises the handguard's profile and expands the still-air zone around your hand—is attached to the plastic in two positions, low or high. It can be removed in a few minutes by undoing two screws per side, leaving the handguard with a more compact and better-ventilated profile. One set of plastics therefore covers both winter and summer.

Plastic compatibility depends on the structure they are mounted on, not on the motorcycle model. Barkbusters specifies its compatibility for vehicles in their original factory configuration.
Colors and deflectors
Eleven colors are available in the catalog. The supplied deflectors are white on the Blue, Red, and White/White plastics, and black on all the others. The Black on Black version has a black shell, Barkbusters logo, and deflector.
What is NOT included
- The aluminum mounting structure, which must be purchased separately.
- The VPS-002 edge protector, which protects the outer edge of the structure and is sold separately.
