The LOBOO JP871B side pannier frames for the Yamaha Ténéré 700 are the foundation of the luggage system: steel construction, mounted to the manufacturer’s designated mounting points, with no adapter brackets.

They accept both aluminum and semi-rigid panniers: the choice is not tied to the frame purchase.

  • WANDERER semi-rigid — BCB4030TBK, 40+30 liters

The JP871B frames accommodate both P35L+P30R aluminum PIKE TRACKER cases and 40+30-liter WANDERER soft cases. The choice of case type is not tied to the purchase of the frame.

Why are dedicated frames needed instead of universal ones?

Why are dedicated frames needed instead of universal ones?

A universal frame mounts wherever it can and distributes the load across points the manufacturer did not design to bear it. On the Ténéré 700, which has a slender rear subframe and is often ridden over rough terrain, that is the shortest route to a crack.

The JP871B were designed around the motorcycle’s geometry: they bolt onto the existing holes, with no drilling or adapter brackets. The weight of the panniers ends up where Yamaha intended it to.

The right pannier is smaller because it has to leave room for the exhaust outlet. This is unavoidable on almost all adventure bikes, and LOBOO solves it with asymmetric capacities instead of widening both sides.

You notice the advantage in narrow passages and traffic: the bike remains slimmer than it would be with two identical panniers. In return, you have to remember which side the bulky luggage goes on.

When these frames aren’t right for you

If you use the Ténéré almost exclusively for demanding off-road riding, consider soft luggage first: in a fall, there is nothing that can bend or trap your leg, and the weight stays lower.

If you use the bike for touring, including stretches of gravel road, steel frames are the right choice: they support hard and semi-rigid cases, remain mounted without getting in the way when you travel without luggage, and let you change the type of luggage without removing anything.

One final check before ordering: these frames fit the Ténéré 700, Rally, and World Raid from 2022 onward. Earlier models have different subframe geometry.

Which panniers can I mount on these frames?

Aluminum PIKE TRACKER P35L+P30R, in black or silver, or the 40+30-liter semi-rigid WANDERER BCB4030TBK. The cases are a separate item and are not included with the frames.

From which model year is it compatible with the Ténéré 700?
