Description Aluminum motorcycle side cases from 65 to 90 L — PIKE TRACKER

The LOBOO PIKE TRACKER aluminum cases are the most popular luggage series in the catalog, with the widest range of frames: they cover BMW, KTM, Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, CFMOTO, Aprilia, Husqvarna, and KOVE.

Constructed from high-strength aluminum, they are waterproof and feature quality locks with dedicated keys. Available in a black or silver finish.

Why the configurations are asymmetrical

Combinations such as 45+38 are not a compromise but a design choice: the narrower right case leaves room for the exhaust and prevents the motorcycle from becoming too wide in tight passages. Where the motorcycle's geometry allows it, such as on the R 1300 GS, symmetrical 45+45 and 37+37 options are also available.

Side frames are not included and must be selected based on the model: tell us the motorcycle and year, and we will provide the correct code.

If you prefer semi-rigid cases, the WANDERER series uses the same frames and offers lower weight with no rigid edges in the event of a fall.

Why choose it

PIKE TRACKER panniers make sense if:

  • You want panniers that lock and can withstand a fall
  • You have a motorcycle with limited options from other brands: LOBOO has frames for ten brands
  • You need an asymmetrical pair that tucks in around the exhaust without widening the bike
  • You're starting from scratch and don't already have frames from another brand to reuse

If you already have GIVI or SW-Motech frames, you'll need to replace those too: consider the total cost first. And if you're looking for the lightest possible weight, the WANDERER semi-rigid bags use the same frames and weigh less.

Who is it recommended for

Before ordering, two things to know:

  • Side frames are not included: they must be chosen based on the motorcycle model and are a separate item.
  • The configuration depends on the motorcycle: asymmetric where the exhaust requires it, symmetric where the geometry allows it.

If you are looking for semi-rigid bags instead of aluminum, the WANDERER series uses the same frames and offers more lightness and no rigid edges in the event of a fall.

Documents and manufacturer

Assembly and Notes

  • The panniers require model-specific LOBOO side carriers, not included in the delivery.
  • Observe the maximum load per side carrier indicated by the motorcycle manufacturer in the owner's manual.
  • Check the fasteners before departure and re-check after the first 100-200 km.
  • The load must not cover the license plate and tail lights or protrude beyond the limits of the Highway Code.

What are they made of, in detail?

The series with the widest range of frames

The series with the widest range of frames

PIKE TRACKER is the most widely used line of aluminum panniers in the LOBOO catalog, and the one with the broadest motorcycle coverage: ten brands, with a dedicated frame for each model. Black or silver, pairs offering 65 to 90 liters of total capacity.

The defining feature of the series is the shape that curves around the exhaust outlet: the panniers stay close to the motorcycle instead of making it wider, which is why asymmetric combinations exist.

Aluminum that deforms instead of breaking

Aluminum that deforms instead of breaking

LOBOO states that it uses a high-strength aluminum alloy chosen for a specific reason: it is more robust yet also more flexible. In an impact, the suitcase absorbs the force and deforms instead of opening or splitting along the edge.

It is the same reasoning behind the reinforced plastic corners fitted to the lower edges: the part that makes contact first must absorb the impact rather than transmit it to the shell.

The profile that avoids the discharge, and the chamfer at the bottom

The profile that avoids the discharge, and the chamfer at the bottom

On most adventure bikes, the exhaust silencer is on the right and takes up space. Symmetrical panniers either stick out, making the bike wider exactly where you need to squeeze through, or sacrifice capacity on both sides.

PIKE TRACKER panniers have a shaped recess on the right side: the pannier wraps around the silencer and recovers volume elsewhere. This is why the asymmetric 35+30 and 45+38 configurations exist; where the geometry allows, symmetrical 35+35, 37+37, and 45+45 configurations are also available.

At the bottom, the edge has a wide, slanted chamfer covered in high-strength plastic: when the bike is laid down, it is the first point to make contact and slides instead of digging in.

Keyed lock, not another padlock

Keyed lock, not another padlock

Each case has its own lock integrated into the lid, with dedicated keys included. The cylinder has five tumblers and is designed to be waterproof and dustproof: it’s the part that, in winter, on a cheap case, is the first to seize up.

It doesn’t add much in terms of real security; an aluminum case isn’t a safe. But at a bar halfway through a trip, with a helmet and rain gear inside, it’s exactly what you need.

The key folds, and it has a number printed on it

The key folds, and it has a number printed on it

The key is CNC-machined and folds into the body with a five-position detent: in your pocket, it won’t puncture the lining, and on your key ring, it won’t scratch the tank.

A number is stamped on the spare key. If you lose all the keys, you don’t need to replace the locks: simply provide that number and LOBOO will supply a replacement. It’s worth photographing it on the day you mount the cases.

In the rain, without inner bags

In the rain, without inner bags

The lid closes against a perimeter seal, and LOBOO states that even in a downpour, no water gets in. In practice, this means you can load clean clothes and set off again without the ritual of putting a dry bag inside the case.

An honest clarification: the manufacturer does not state a measured IP rating for these cases. If you transport electronics on long journeys in heavy rain, an inner dry bag remains the prudent choice.

At night, you're wider than they think.

At night, you're wider than they think.

On each side there is a high-visibility 3M reflective strip. With the cases mounted, the motorcycle is almost twice as wide, and at night that is precisely the silhouette a car needs to see before starting to overtake.

The film is on the side panel, where headlights actually hit it, not on the lid, where no one would see it.

The lid opens wide, but not too wide

The lid opens wide, but not too wide

Both hinges have a stop that limits the opening angle. The lid stays open on its own while you load, and it does not tip back until it hits the suitcase body—the quickest way to mark up the new aluminum.

The left suitcase lid comes standard with a soft organizer bag with compartments: it is the place for documents, spare gloves, and things that need to stay within reach without ending up at the bottom of the load.

The net that keeps what wobbles steady

The net that keeps what wobbles steady

The right pannier has an elastic mesh pocket attached at all four corners inside the lid. It keeps flat, lightweight items from rattling over every bump and separates them from the rest of the load.

It comes as standard on the right pannier and the top case, while the left pannier comes with the soft bag. The two solutions complement each other; they are not alternatives.

The inside is not bare aluminum

The inside is not bare aluminum

The interior is lined on all sides. It’s the detail you don’t notice in the shop but appreciate after a year: the contents don’t scratch the aluminum from the inside, and fragile items don’t rest on the metal.

The lining is fitted as standard; it’s not an accessory to add.

The light that turns on when you open it

The light that turns on when you open it

Inside the lid, a small magnetic sensor light attaches securely: open the case and it turns on automatically. Four brightness levels plus a flashing mode, IP54 rating, and a claimed long battery life.

It detaches for use off the motorcycle: the light package also includes a headband, so at night in the tent it becomes a headlamp. LOBOO states that it comes as standard with the three-case set; for the side-case pair, ask us to confirm before ordering.

The backrest for the person sitting in the back

The backrest for the person sitting in the back

LOBOO makes a two-piece backrest for the series, shaped with a broad curve, which attaches to the side of the case facing the passenger. On a long ride, it makes quite a difference: the alternative is leaning against the edge of the aluminum.

It is an accessory for the series and is not included with the pair of cases.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Are the frames included in the price?

No, the price is for the pair of panniers. The side frames are purchased separately because they are specific to the model and year: LOBOO makes a different one for each motorcycle. On our brand-specific pages, you’ll find panniers and frames already matched, so you can avoid choosing the wrong part number.

Which configuration fits my motorcycle?

The configuration is not a matter of personal preference: it depends on the frame available for your model. LOBOO matches each combination to a specific list of motorcycles.

  • 35+30 L: Aprilia Tuareg 660, BMW F900GS, Benelli TRK 552X, CFMOTO 450MT, 800MT, 800MT-X and 1000MT-X, Ducati DesertX and Multistrada V4S, Harley-Davidson Pan America, Honda X-ADV 750, CRF1100L and CRF1100L Adventure, KTM 790 and 890 Adventure, KOVE 800X, Husqvarna Norden 901, Suzuki V-Strom 800 and 1050, Yamaha Ténéré 700, Triumph Tiger 850 and 900.
  • 35+35 L: BMW S1000XR, Honda CB400X, CB500X, NX400, NX500, NC750X and XL750 Transalp.
  • 37+37 L and 45+45 L: BMW R1300GS, R1300GS Adventure and Triumph Tiger 1200.
  • 45+38 L: BMW F750GS, F800GS, F850GS and F850GS Adventure, F900GS Adventure, R1200GS and R1250GS with their Adventure versions, KTM 1050, 1090, 1150, 1190 and 1290 Adventure and 1290 Super Adventure.

If your motorcycle is not on the list or you want confirmation of the exact year, send us the make, model and year: we will provide the configuration and frame code before you place your order.

Why are the configurations asymmetric, like 45+38?

Because on most adventure bikes, the exhaust outlet is on the right. The narrower right pannier wraps around the exhaust and keeps the motorcycle slim in tight passages; the left pannier makes up for the lost volume. Where the motorcycle’s geometry allows it, as on the R 1300 GS, symmetric 37+37 and 45+45 options are also available.

Do they mount on GIVI or original BMW frames?

No. The mounting system for the PIKE TRACKER is designed around LOBOO frame dimensions and is not compatible with GIVI, SW-Motech, or original BMW frames. No adapters are available: the geometries are different. If you already have a frame from another brand, the cases and frame must be replaced together.

How much do they weigh?

LOBOO states the weight of the 35+30 configuration alone: 6 kg for the 35 L left case and 5.6 kg for the 30 L right case, therefore 11.6 kg for the pair—cases only, without the frame. The manufacturer does not publish the data for the other configurations, and we prefer not to estimate it. The weight of the side frame, which varies by model, must be added.

Will the helmet fit in it?

LOBOO does not claim compatibility with helmets, and the shapes available on the market are too different for a universally valid answer. One customer told us that their modular helmet does not fit in the 45 L case because of the lid’s sealing rim. If the helmet is your purchasing criterion, write to us with the model you have and we will check the measurements before you order.

Are they waterproof?

The lid closes against a perimeter gasket that keeps rain out during normal use. LOBOO does not claim an IP rating for these cases: if you transport delicate equipment on long journeys in heavy rain, an internal dry bag remains the prudent choice.

Can they be locked?

Yes, each suitcase has a lock integrated into the lid, with dedicated keys included. Keep in mind that an aluminum suitcase is not a safe: it protects against someone passing by and opening it, not against a determined theft.

Can I have the same key as the other LOBOO suitcases?

Yes, LOBOO can match the lock cylinders across its cases and suitcases, but you need to provide the key number you already have when placing your order. If you already have other LOBOO products with locks, let us know before we start shipping: after that, it cannot be changed.

What’s already inside the suitcase?

Three things are fitted as standard: protective inner lining on all walls, the soft bag with compartments in the lid of the left case, and the elastic mesh pocket in the lid of the right case.

The padded passenger backrest and the sensor-activated interior light remain optional accessories, although LOBOO lists them as standard in the three-case set; ask us to confirm for the side cases before ordering.

What’s the difference between the black and silver finishes?

Appearance and price. Anodized black better conceals surface scratches, while silver makes them appear less deep because the metal underneath is the same color. At list price, silver costs about seventy euros less per pair in every configuration. The construction is identical.

Are these better, or the WANDERER semi-rigid ones?

They use the same frames, so the choice depends solely on the type of case. The aluminum PIKE TRACKER cases can be locked, withstand being set down after a fall better, and provide greater protection for their contents. The semi-rigid WANDERER cases weigh less, have no rigid edges, and cost less, but they cannot be locked.
