The LOBOO JP871W top case plate is the complete structure that the top case attaches to on the Yamaha Ténéré 700 from 2022 onward. It includes the top plate with the top case interface, the tubular support frame, and the connecting brackets, all using the original mounting points and requiring no drilling.

It is the missing part between the motorcycle and the top case: the Ténéré 700 does not leave the factory with a plate for mounting an aluminum top case, and this product provides one together with the structure that supports it.

Why choose it

• Plate and structure in one item. You do not buy a drilled platform and then add a support: the plate already comes with the tubular frame and brackets sized for the Ténéré's tail section.
• Designed for the T7, not adapted. LOBOO developed the system starting from the geometry of the Ténéré 700, a motorcycle whose high exhaust and tapered tail make universal luggage racks difficult to use.
• Stainless steel, not aluminum. The manufacturer's technical specifications distinguish between high-strength aluminum alloy cases and stainless steel luggage racks. On the component that supports the entire load, stainless steel provides rigidity and resists corrosion from winter road salt.
• Dedicated top case interface. The mounting system is the one intended for LOBOO top cases: the top case attaches without intermediate plates or adapters.
• Two top case capacities, two colors. It fits the 36-liter and 45-liter LOBOO top cases, each available in matte black or glossy silver. You can choose the capacity today and change it tomorrow without touching the structure.
• Useful even without a top case. With the top case removed, the plate remains a load surface for securing a soft bag or dry bag.

How to install it

The manual illustrates eight steps. The first removes four original bolts from the tail section; the others sequentially install the side brackets, front bracket, tubular frame, and finally the plate. No drilling or permanent modification is required: the mounting points Yamaha already provides on the rear subframe are used.

There are two tightening torques: 12 N·m for the M6 bolts and 20 N·m for the M8 bolts, with threadlocker included. Check the tightening again after the first few dozen kilometers, especially when riding with a loaded top case.

Compatibility

The manufacturer lists the standard Yamaha Ténéré 700 for model years 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, and the manual for this code is intended for the three top case series PIKE TRACKER, TIBET, and CONQUEROR. The compatible top cases listed in the catalog are the P45T and P36T from the PIKE TRACKER series and the T36T from the TIBET series.

Compatibility with the Rally, Extreme, and World Raid versions is not stated by the manufacturer: if you have one of these, contact us before ordering.

Usage limits

The manufacturer does not state either the weight of the structure or a maximum permitted load. The limit to observe is the one specified by Yamaha in the owner's manual for the rear subframe, and it includes the weight of the structure, the top case, and its contents. On an off-road motorcycle, a high and rearward load affects handling more than the number might suggest: bear this in mind even when staying below the limit.
