Description YAMAHA TENERE 700 Side Cases
Complete kit for Yamaha Ténéré 700: a pair of JP871B side frames with mounting hardware, plus two PIKE TRACKER aluminum panniers measuring 35 and 30 liters, in your chosen finish. One order, nothing else to match.
Why the two sides have different capacities
The right pannier holds 30 liters instead of 35 because it is shaped around the exhaust: this is the version LOBOO calls exhaust avoidance, with a recessed lower wall. On a minimalist, off-road-oriented bike like the Ténéré, keeping the profile narrow on the hot side is part of the design. The left pannier, without that constraint, retains its full 35-liter capacity.
How much they hold and how much they can weigh
LOBOO specifies a maximum load of 10 kg per side pannier. The pair weighs 11.6 kg when empty, excluding the frames: 6 kg for the left and 5.6 kg for the right.
- Left P35L — interior 451 x 227 x 381 mm, external dimensions 498 x 268 x 408 mm
- Right P30R — interior 451 x 227/167 x 381 mm, external dimensions 498 x 244/208 x 408 mm
The two measurements for the right side refer to the upper and lower sections, where it is recessed to clear the exhaust. These are dimensions declared by the manufacturer based on manual measurement, so some tolerance should be expected.
Construction
- High-strength aluminum, with the lower corners protected by structural plastic bumpers
- Key lock with a five-wafer cylinder, removable and replaceable without changing the pannier
- Scratch-resistant inner lining, fabric pocket in the left lid, and storage net on the right
- Lid opening stop to prevent it from hitting the frame
- 3M reflective inserts on the outer side
- Finishes: polished silver or matte black
LOBOO states that the series is water- and dust-resistant, but does not publish an IP rating; we do not list one because it is not a manufacturer-certified specification.
What is not included
The top case and its rear mounting plate are sold separately. The LR06 LED light with sensor is supplied by LOBOO only with the three-pannier set, so it is not included in this kit.
Alternatives on the same frames
The JP871B frames also support the WANDERER semi-rigid panniers measuring 40+30 liters, if you prefer a lighter solution: we verified this compatibility ourselves, based on the 18 mm tube requirement LOBOO specifies for those panniers. If you already have the frames, you can purchase only the panniers from the PIKE TRACKER series page. However, LOBOO panniers can only be mounted on LOBOO frames; they are not interchangeable with mounts from other brands.
Maintenance
Wash with a water jet held at least one meter away, using a neutral detergent, and dry immediately afterward. Avoid acidic or alkaline products. Make a note of the number stamped on the key: it is needed to have a duplicate made.
