Assembly and Notes

The kit includes side racks and a pair of panniers: the top case and its plate are not included.
Please respect the maximum load per side rack indicated by BMW in the manual: with the 45+45 configuration, the limit is reached more easily.
Recheck the tightening after the first 100-200 km.
The load must not cover the license plate and tail lights or extend beyond the limits of the Highway Code.

How does it work, in detail?

Symmetrical suitcases, up to 90 liters

The geometry of the R 1300 GS allows for two panniers with equal capacity, which was not possible on the previous generation because of the exhaust. Choose 37+37 to keep the bike narrow, or 45+45 for long trips.

The kit includes the JP131B frames plus a pair of PIKE TRACKER aluminum panniers, in black or silver finish.

The generation that eliminated compromise

On the R 1250, the exhaust requires a narrower right pannier: 45 on the left, 38 on the right. On the R 1300 GS, the geometry has changed and this constraint no longer applies.

You can mount two panniers of equal capacity: it’s a real generational improvement, not just a catalog difference.

37+37 or 45+45: how to really decide

The 37+37 keeps the motorcycle narrower: it moves more easily between cars, fits into tight garages, and feels less cumbersome on technical sections. It is enough for trips lasting several days.

The 45+45 offers a total of 90 liters for long trips or two-up riding, but makes the motorcycle wider. Consider it based on the passages you commonly tackle.

JP131B, not JP151B: the check to be performed

This kit fits the JP131B frames, designed for the standard R 1300 GS. The Adventure version has a different rear subframe and requires the JP151B.

The two codes are not interchangeable: this is the most common ordering mistake for this motorcycle, and you can avoid it in ten seconds by checking the registration document.

Aluminum, key locks, waterproofness

The PIKE TRACKER cases are made of high-strength aluminum alloy, with perimeter seals and keyed locks on each case.

It is the most popular series in the LOBOO range: the same case can be mounted on more than fifteen different motorcycles by changing only the frame.

Black or silver, and the road remains open

The two finishes make no technical difference: same aluminum, same locks, same durability. The choice is purely aesthetic.

If you want to change the type of luggage in the future, the JP131B frames stay in place: they also accommodate the 40+40-liter WANDERER soft-sided cases.

I have the R 1300 GS with the short exhaust: do I need anything else?

Yes. LOBOO’s documentation indicates that on the R 1300 GS and GS Adventure with the short exhaust, installing the pannier racks also requires the CPQ131 exhaust deflector, available on a separate page for €28.50. Without it, the installation will not be correct. If you’re unsure which exhaust version you have, contact us and we’ll verify it together before you place the order.

Is the 37+37 or 45+45 configuration better?

The 37+37 keeps the motorcycle narrower and is sufficient for trips lasting a few days. The 45+45 offers a total capacity of 90 liters and is the choice for long trips or riding with a passenger, but it makes the motorcycle wider: choose it based on the passages you usually navigate and the parking spaces you use.

Are these frames also compatible with the R 1300 GS Adventure?

No. This kit uses the JP131B frames, designed for the standard R 1300 GS from 2023 onward. The Adventure version has a different rear subframe and requires the JP151B frames; you can find the corresponding kit on a separate page.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: all LOBOO products sold on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory consumer warranty. In the event of a lack of conformity, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.

Can I return the product if it isn’t suitable?

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
