What torque should the screws be tightened to?

Two different values, and they must not be confused: 20 N·m on the four M8 screws and 12 N·m on the four M6 screws. The manual says to fit all the parts without tightening them, make the adjustments, and tighten them only at the end, in sequence.

What tools are needed to assemble it?

The package does not include any tools: item 9 in the parts list is threadlocker. A torque wrench is required because the manual specifies two different torque values: 20 N·m for the M8 bolts and 12 N·m for the M6 bolts. The manual does not list the wrench sizes.

Do I need to work on the electrical system?

Yes, but only to disconnect and reconnect. Steps 7, 8, 14, 17, and 18 of the manual show disconnecting some connectors in the tail area, which are then reconnected once assembly is complete. Nothing is cut or tapped.

Does it need to be checked again after the first few kilometers?

The manufacturer recommends periodically checking the tightness of the screws on all components. With a loaded top case mounted behind the rear subframe, it works quite hard, so it is worth checking all the screws again after the first few trips.

Can I use it together with the frames for the side cases?

Yes. The side frames for the R 1300 GS are product code JP131B and have their own page; together with this luggage rack, they make up the three-case configuration. They are two separate items, each with its own manual and packaging.

What material is it made of?

The manual for code JP131WB does not specify the frame material, so we do not include it. We prefer to leave the field blank rather than state something the manufacturer has not confirmed.

Why do I find it called JP131WPRO everywhere?

Why does LOBOO list it under two names: JP131WB in the manual and distribution price lists, and JP131WPRO in the commercial price list? It is the exact same product, with the same barcode. We use JP131WB, which is the one printed in the manual.

Code JP131WB, which LOBOO calls Top Case Rack (Enhanced Version). It is a complete top case rack, with its own frame and a larger support plate: the solution for those who really load up the rear, or for those who fit an aluminium top case instead of a soft bag.

Possible settings on the R 1300 GS

The LOBOO table combines the sets as follows: top case with the reinforced luggage rack or the sliding one, side cases with the JP131B frames, three cases with frames and the reinforced luggage rack, or with frames and the sliding luggage rack.

Which code for which motorcycle

In the LOBOO table, the R 1300 GS and the R 1300 GS Adventure have different side frames. The sliding luggage rack is available only for the GS, while the plate for the original luggage rack fits both. LOBOO aluminum cases can only be mounted on LOBOO frames, without damaging the motorcycle.

The three-suitcase system

In the three-case configuration, the top case sits on the rear luggage rack and the side cases on the JP131B frames. The reinforced luggage rack is one of the three supports provided by LOBOO for the top case.
