The BHG-051 is the Barkbusters mounting kit designed for the Husqvarna TR650 Terra from 2013. It is the structure onto which Barkbusters plastics are mounted: on its own, it protects levers and hands from impacts; with the plastics, it adds protection from wind, cold, and branches.
Key features
- Heat-treated aluminum bars, right and left.
- Two-point mounting: with a bolt at the end of the handlebar and on a 22 mm multi-fit clamp, adjustable to the tube profile.
- Handlebar weights included: two Barkbusters BEW35.
- Accepts JET-003, VPS-003, STM-003, and BCF-003 plastics, sold separately.
Protection and use
Barkbusters clearly distinguishes between the two mounting configurations, and the two-point configuration, anchored both at the end and in the center of the handlebar, is the one the manufacturer specifies for impact protection. On the single-cylinder dual-sport TR650 Terra, this means keeping the levers safe from falls, stones, and branches.
Materials and construction
Heat-treated aluminum bars (manufacturer code BAR-V-040), MFC-22 multi-fit clamps with 45 mm connectors. The manufacturer does not state the finish or the kit's weight, so we do not report them.

Barkbusters states compatibility for motorcycles in original factory configuration. Mounting on aftermarket handlebars must be checked before purchase.
Installation
Remove the handlebar weights and any original handguards. Install the multi-fit clamp with its connector without tightening it, attach the bar at the end with the bolt and handlebar weight and to the connector, horizontal when viewed from the side, then tighten in this order: M6x35 end bolt, M8x25 bar bolt, M6x20 clamp bolts, M6x30 connector bolt.
Specified torque values: 10 Nm for the M6 bolts and 28 Nm for the M8 bolts, using medium-strength threadlocker and checking after the first 50 km. Leave approximately 3 mm of clearance between the throttle grip and handguard. Barkbusters recommends installation by a workshop.

What is NOT included
- Protective plastics. The kit is the structure only: the plastics must be purchased separately from those listed by the manufacturer.
- Threadlocker and tools.
Plastics to pair with it
- JET-003: compact profile, for off-road use.
- VPS-003: deflector adjustable to two positions. It is being phased out, and the price list indicates VPS-203 as its replacement.
- STM-003, STORM series: more extensive coverage, for the colder months.
- BCF-003, CARBON series: made of carbon fiber.

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch. The night visibility is impressive, and the "X-Ray" mode, as they call it, makes evening riding much safer. I also appreciate Endurrad's quick support for pre-purchase clarifications: fast shipping, careful packaging. A product that is really worth the expense for a premium upgrade.

The body is sturdy, and the IP69K waterproof rating won me over from the very first downpour. The WiFi/BT connection is stable, and the dedicated app makes downloading dashcam videos super fast. All in one device, without having to mount 3-4 different accessories. Excellent value for money.

The bag is of excellent quality and comes with all the necessary straps and a shoulder strap. The two methods of attaching it to the motorcycle are well designed and offer a range of options. I will also buy the larger model.
I saw the Endurrad ad on Facebook and immediately set about getting Loboo inflatable bags for my motorcycle...... But due to a technical error, I entered the wrong information on the order, which had already been shipped.
