Description Barkbusters handguard mounting kit BHG-032 for BMW F 800 GS, R 1200 GS, and Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport

The BHG-032 is the specific mounting kit for six models, five BMWs and one Triumph: heat-treated aluminum bar, clamps, and hardware.

Declared compatibility

Model Years
BMW F 650 GS twin-cylinder 2008-2012
BMW F 800 GS 2008-2012
BMW R 1200 GS up to 2012
BMW R 1200 GS Adventure up to 2013
BMW HP2 Megamoto 2007-2009
Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport from 2013

The year ranges do not coincide across the models because BMW updated the GS and GS Adventure in different years. Compatibility declared for motorcycles in original factory configuration.

The F 650 GS: pay attention to the engine

BMW used the name F 650 GS for two completely different motorcycles. This code is for the twin-cylinder model from 2008; the single-cylinder model up to 2007 requires the BHG-010.

Why buy it from Endurrad

Free shipping in Italy over €100 and in Europe over €250, 14-day returns, support in Italian. If you have doubts about your motorcycle's year or engine, write to us before ordering.

Why choose it
  • Protezione dagli impatti dichiarata.
  • Quattro plastiche compatibili. JET, VPS, STORM e CARBON, intercambiabili negli anni sulla stessa struttura.
  • Prodotto in Australia.
Who is it recommended for

Assembly and documents

  2. Verifica che il manubrio sia quello originale.
  3. Rimuovi i paramani originali, se presenti, e i contrappesi.
  5. Fissa la barra in alluminio all estremità del manubrio e al morsetto, poi portala in posizione e monta le plastiche.

Six models, three different intervals

  • The years do not match across the models. The registration document is the guide to avoid mistakes.
Check the manual, not the model name

Check the manual, not the model name

For this code, the year ranges do not match: the R 1200 GS runs through 2012, its Adventure through 2013, and the Tiger 1050 Sport starts in 2013. And the F 650 GS is suitable only if it is the twin-cylinder version, meaning from 2008 onward. The model name alone is not enough: the year shown on the registration document is required.

FAQs

For more information, see our FAQ of frequently asked questions.

Which motorcycles does it fit?

Of the six models, five are BMWs and one is a Triumph: the twin-cylinder F 650 GS and F 800 GS from 2008 to 2012, the R 1200 GS up to 2012, the R 1200 GS Adventure up to 2013, the HP2 Megamoto from 2007 to 2009, and the Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport from 2013.

I have an F 650 GS: how can I tell if it’s a twin-cylinder?

The year is the simplest way to tell: F 650 GS models from 2008 onward are twin-cylinder, while those up to 2007 are single-cylinder. They are two completely different motorcycles that shared the same name. The single-cylinder model requires the BHG-010.

I have an R 1200 GS: which code do I need?

It depends on the year. This BHG-032 fits the R 1200 GS through 2012; from 2013 to 2017, you need the BHG-050; from 2018 onward, with the R 1250 GS, you need the BHG-085. Check the manual before ordering.

Why does the GS Adventure go up to 2013 and the GS up to 2012?

Why BMW renewed the two models in different years: the GS moved to the next generation in 2013, and the GS Adventure one year later. The manufacturer reports the intervals as they really are, and we keep them separate instead of standardizing them.

I have a Triumph Tiger 1050 Sport: is it suitable?

Yes, from 2013 onward. It is the only Triumph in this code, and it is often omitted from dealers' listings because the kit is perceived as a BMW product.

I have an F 800 GS newer than 2012: will it fit?

No, this code only goes up to 2012. For the F 800 GS from 2013 to 2015, you need the BHG-040; from 2016 to 2023, the BHG-055; and for the new model from 2024 onward, the BHG-117. This motorcycle has had many code changes: write to us with the year, and we’ll tell you the correct one.

Are the protective plastic parts included?

No. The BHG-032 is only the mounting structure: aluminum bars, clamps, and hardware. The plastic components are selected and purchased separately.

What plastics can I install on it?

Four series: JET with a compact profile, VPS with an adjustable deflector, STORM with extended coverage, and CARBON in fiber. EGO plastics are not compatible.

Does it protect the lever in a fall?

Yes. It has two attachment points, and the manufacturer states that heat treatment of the aluminum is intended to add strength and protection against impacts.

Do I need to remove the original counterweights?

The structure attaches to the end of the handlebar, so the original bar-end weights must be removed. The official instructions attached to the product page show the correct sequence.

What will I find in the package?

The two aluminum bars, clamps, and mounting hardware. No protective plastic.

I installed an aftermarket handlebar: does it fit the same way?

The manufacturer states compatibility with motorcycles in their original factory configuration. On fifteen-year-old motorcycles, the handlebar may have been replaced: if you are not sure it is the original one, check before purchasing.
