Everything you need to know before ordering
Compatibility, included items, installation, and documents: below is every detail verified against the official Barkbusters documentation.
The BHG-010 is the specific mounting kit for single-cylinder BMW motorcycles in the F 650 GS and G 650 GS families: heat-treated aluminum bar, clamps, and hardware.
Declared compatibility
| Model | Years | Engine |
|---|---|---|
| BMW F 650 GS Funduro | up to 2007 | single-cylinder |
| BMW F 650 GS Dakar | up to 2007 | single-cylinder |
| BMW G 650 GS | 2008-2010 | single-cylinder |
Warning: two different motorcycles with the same name
It is the most frequent source of confusion with this model. BMW used the name F 650 GS for two completely different motorcycles: a single-cylinder model up to 2007 and a twin-cylinder model from 2008. They have different handlebars and require different kits.
| Your motorcycle | Correct code |
|---|---|
| F 650 GS or Dakar single-cylinder, up to 2007 | BHG-010, this product |
| F 650 GS twin-cylinder, from 2008 | BHG-032 |
| G 650 GS, 2008-2010 | BHG-010, this product |
| G 650 GS, from 2011 | BHG-045 |
The year shown on the registration document is the simplest way to avoid mistakes.
Impact protection
Two mounting points and heat-treated aluminum. Barkbusters states that this configuration is designed for impact protection.
On a Dakar used as intended, it is the difference between a bent lever and a day that continues. And on a motorcycle that has been out of production for years, levers and controls are precisely the parts that are hardest to replace.
The plastics are NOT included
Four compatible series: JET-003, VPS-203, STM-003, and BCF-003. EGO plastics are not compatible.
What you get in the package
- Two heat-treated aluminum bars, natural finish.
- Clamps and complete hardware.
What is NOT included
- Protective plastics, to be chosen from JET, VPS, STORM, and CARBON.
