Description LOBOO CHG441 Crash Bar for Aprilia Tuareg 660 | 304 stainless steel, Ø 25 mm, black or silver

The CHG441 is LOBOO’s crash bar for the Aprilia Tuareg 660 from 2022 onward, made of 304 stainless steel with a Ø 25 mm tube and 2 mm wall thickness. It works around the motorcycle’s perimeter: in a stationary fall or a low-speed slide, it keeps the bike elevated so that the fairings and side components do not absorb the impact.

This is the typical situation for anyone using the Tuareg for what it was designed to do. On dirt, soft ground, or during a stationary maneuver with the bike loaded, contact with the ground almost always occurs at very low speed, and the damage is concentrated in the same areas.

It is available in two finishes that differ only in appearance: silver, sandblasted and electropolished, with the steel exposed, or black with an electrostatic powder coating. The codes are CHG441SL for silver and CHG441BK for black. The 304 stainless steel is the same material beneath and above the surface, so a chip caused by a stone does not trigger rust as it would on a painted tube.

LOBOO states that it developed the part using a 3D scan of the motorcycle’s original data: it attaches to the mounting points already present on the frame, with no cutting, drilling, or welding, and is therefore completely reversible.

A crash bar reduces damage from a fall; it does not eliminate it. LOBOO does not publish load tests for this code, so we do not claim any impact-resistance thresholds. It also does not state the weight or package contents; we can verify these in stock upon request. Endurrad is a retailer, not the manufacturer.

Why choose it
  • Perimeter protection:Keeps the bike elevated in the event of a stationary fall or low-speed slide.
  • Protects side components:Fairings and exposed parts do not absorb the impact.
  • Designed for adventure use:The Tuareg 660 is made for off-road riding.
  • Dedicated to the model:Aprilia Tuareg 660 from 2022 onwards.
Who is it recommended for

It is useful if you ride your Tuareg 660 off-road, tackle dirt roads and uneven surfaces, or park on soft ground where a side stand is always possible.

Recommended accessory:LOBOO crash bars for 25mm tubes protect the bar from scratches and can be replaced for a few euros.

Assembly and Notes

  • Recheck all fasteners after the first 100-200 km and periodically with off-road use.
  • After an impact, check that the bar is not deformed and does not rest on fairings or the engine.
  • This is not an approved safety device and does not replace prudent driving.
  • Verify model and year before purchase.

How does it work, in detail?

Two bars, one on each side

Two bars, one on each side

The LOBOO manual identifies the two pieces as 441 Left crash bar and 441 Right crash bar: one bar per side, which wraps around the engine from the outside and rises toward the fairings. It is not a two-level system with separate upper and lower bars; it is a single piece per side that covers both areas.

Mount without touching the original structure

Mount without touching the original structure

LOBOO states that it developed the part based on the vehicle’s original data, with the hole positions derived from those on the motorcycle. It attaches to the existing mounting points on the frame: no cutting, drilling, or welding.

In some places, the Tuareg’s original screws and the standard φ 23 × 11 mm aluminum bushing are reused. Removing the bars restores the motorcycle exactly to its original condition, which matters when it comes time to resell it.

Inspect the welds at the joints

Inspect the welds at the joints

The weld beads between the tube and the mounting plates are continuous and even: these are the points that bear the load when the bike is resting, so that is where it is worth looking first before choosing a crash bar.

Choose between silver and black

Choose between silver and black

The silver finish is sandblasted and electropolished, leaving the steel exposed and matching the Tuareg’s frame and rims. The black finish is matte powder-coated and blends into the engine for a more discreet setup.

Underneath the treatment, the material is the same 304 stainless steel: only the appearance changes, not the structure or the mounting points.

304 stainless steel, Ø 25 mm tube with a 2 mm wall, sandblasting and electropolishing for the silver finish, and electrostatic coating for the black finish; compatible with the Aprilia Tuareg 660 (2022–). This is the official specification panel, reproduced without additions.

Anything the manufacturer does not state is listed among the specifications as “not declared” rather than being filled in with an estimate.

Front view and close-ups: the bar closes off the front of the radiator and runs along the side of the engine, at the level of the points that make contact first when the bike falls over. They’re also the most expensive parts to replace on a Tuareg.

Add inflatable bags to your crash bars

Add inflatable bags to your crash bars

The bars you’re about to install do more than just protect: they’re already the ready-made mounting points for LOBOO Wanderer inflatable bags. A pair of 6-liter bags, each waterproof to IPX7, with keyed anti-theft locks and a stated capacity of 300 kg per inflated bag.

They inflate when you set off and deflate when you return: carry what you need without installing frames or leaving permanent bulk along the side of the motorcycle. Make use of the Ø 25 mm tube you already have and go fully equipped.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Which motorcycles is this crash bar compatible with?

The installation manual and the official LOBOO page specify the Aprilia Tuareg 660 (2022–), meaning from 2022 onward with no stated upper limit. If your motorcycle already has accessories mounted in the engine area, contact us before ordering and we will check for interference.

What material is it made of?

According to the official LOBOO specification sheet, the material is: 304 stainless steel (rust-resistant).

What is the difference between the silver version and the black one?

Only the surface treatment differs. The silver finish is sandblasted and electropolished, leaving the steel exposed; the black finish is powder-coated. Beneath the finish, the material is the same 304 stainless steel, and the dimensions, fittings, and package contents are identical.

How is it assembled?

It attaches to the existing mounting points on the frame, with no cutting, drilling, or welding: LOBOO states that it developed the part using a 3D scan of the motorcycle’s original data. Remove the original bolts at the indicated points, position the left and right bars with the supplied spacers, and secure them with the supplied M10 hardware, reusing in some places the original Tuareg bolts and the φ 23 × 11 mm aluminum bushing.

The manual recommends not tightening gradually: first assemble everything, then apply the supplied threadlocker and tighten to 50 N·m. A torque wrench is required. The manual also refers to a video via QR code and can be downloaded from this page.

Do I need to drill or modify the motorcycle?

No. The mounting is done on the existing points on the frame, with no cutting, drilling, or welding, and in some places the motorcycle's original screws are reused together with the standard aluminum bushing. Once the bars are removed, the Tuareg returns exactly to its original condition, which matters when it comes time to resell it.

Do you need a torque wrench?

Yes. The manual specifies 50 N·m for all M10 bolts, and that is a torque that cannot be estimated by feel: too little and the bar will move with vibrations; too much and you risk damaging the thread on the frame. Threadlocker is included and should be applied before final tightening.

What is included in the package?

The parts list in the manual includes eight items: the left bar, the right bar, one M10×55 bolt, two M10×60 bolts, two Ø 24 × 8 mm spacers, two Ø 20 × 20 mm spacers, one Ø 24 × 20 mm spacer, and threadlocker.

Some of the mounting bolts are the motorcycle’s original bolts, which are reused along with the original aluminum bushing. The lights and accessories visible in the manufacturer’s images are not included.

Does it also protect against a low-speed fall?

Yes, and that is the scenario it is designed for: a stationary fall, tipping over on the side while parking, or a low-speed slide. The bar keeps the motorcycle elevated and absorbs the impact instead of the fairings, radiator, and side components.

How much weight can it withstand in the event of a fall?

A crash bar reduces the damage from a fall; it does not eliminate it. LOBOO does not publish load tests for this code, so we do not state impact-resistance thresholds: that would be a made-up number. After an impact, check that the bar is not deformed and is not resting against the fairings or engine.

Can I mount auxiliary spotlights on it?

The fitting manual for this product code does not document dedicated mounting points for spotlights, and LOBOO does not list any on its official page. If you are interested in adding them, contact us before ordering: we will check on the actual part what can be done without universal clamps, which tend to rotate on the tube due to vibrations.

Is the bar bumper also needed?

It is recommended. In a scrape, the bumper gets marked, not the tube: it can be replaced for just a few euros instead of ending up with a chipped or scratched bar. LOBOO bumpers for 25 mm tubes are available on a separate page.

How much does it weigh?

LOBOO does not state the weight of this code, either in the manual or on the official page, and we prefer not to publish an estimate. If you need this information to make an informed choice, write to us: we will weigh it in our warehouse and tell you the actual value.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: all LOBOO products sold on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory consumer warranty. In the event of a lack of conformity, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.

Can I return the product if it isn’t suitable?

Yes, you are entitled to return the product within 14 days of receiving the last item in the order, in accordance with the store’s returns and refunds policy. The product must be intact and in its original packaging: contact us and we’ll guide you through the process.
