In brief. On the BMW R 1200 GS and R 1250 GS, including the Adventure version, the Wanderer semi-rigid cases mount on the LOBOO JP071B side frames in the 40 + 30 liter configuration. The original BMW frames are not compatible: the Wanderer cases attach only to frames with 18 mm tubing and the LOBOO drilling pattern.
The case set does not include the frames. On Endurrad, you can also find the Wanderer 40 + 30 L kit with JP071B frames, already paired.

Why 40 + 30 instead of 40 + 40
The JP071B frames are asymmetrical: the left side is sized for a 45-liter PIKE TRACKER case, while the right side, the exhaust side, is sized for a 38-liter case. On the Wanderer cases, this asymmetry becomes a 40 + 30 pairing: the narrower case goes on the right, where the exhaust outlet passes.
The Wanderer mounting plate comes from the factory already drilled for this frame series, with a 358 × 182.5 mm hole spacing: no mounting point needs to be moved on the JP071B frames.
Installation at a glance
- Install the JP071B frames following their manual.
- On the case, leave the plate in its factory position, intended for the PIKE TRACKER P45 frames.
- Close the roll-top by rolling it twice and secure the top buckle.
- Attach the case to the frame and close the side lock.

Soft-sided or aluminum cases for the R 1250 GS
The PIKE TRACKER aluminum cases also fit the same JP071B frames, with 45 L on the left and 38 L on the right: you can find them in the PIKE TRACKER kit for the R 1250 GS and Adventure. Aluminum offers better protection against impacts and break-ins; the Wanderer cases weigh less, detach by hand like a bag, and include the waterproof bags.

The manufacturer declares an IPX6 rating: they withstand heavy rain and water jets, but not immersion. Water resistance also depends on the roll-top, which must be rolled twice.
