Complete kit for BMW R 1250 GS and Adventure: a pair of JP071B side frames with mounting hardware, plus two PIKE TRACKER aluminum cases measuring 45 and 38 liters, in the finish of your choice. One order, nothing else to match.

One kit for four GS models

The JP071B frame manual lists four motorcycles: R 1200 GS from 2013, R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014, and R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019. The box also includes the spacers and screws marked ADV, which are used only on Adventure models: there is no need to order a different code depending on the version. On R 1200 GS models from before 2013, the subframe geometry is different.

Why 45+38 instead of a symmetrical setup

The exhaust outlet runs along the right side of these motorcycles. The 38-liter case is shaped around the exhaust, with a recessed lower wall: it leaves the necessary space and prevents the motorcycle from becoming too wide on that side. On the R 1300 GS, where the geometry has changed, symmetrical configurations are available instead.

How much it holds and how much it can weigh

83 liters in total, 45 on the left and 38 on the right. LOBOO specifies a maximum load of 10 kg per side case: volume is not the only limit to keep in mind when loading.

Construction

  • High-strength aluminum, with lower corners protected by structural plastic bumpers
  • Key lock with a five-lever cylinder, removable and replaceable without changing the case
  • Scratch-resistant inner lining and 3M reflective inserts on the outer side
  • Finishes: polished silver or matte black, with the same construction

LOBOO states that the series is water- and dust-resistant, but does not publish an IP rating: we do not list one because it is not data certified by the manufacturer.

Installation

No drilling is required. However, the manual calls for removing some original components on both sides and around the exhaust, with one part to be reinstalled once the work is complete: these are reversible operations, using the supplied hardware and tool. The package contains 12 components, and final tightening must be carried out in sequence to 20 N·m on all M8 screws, after completing the adjustments.

What is not included

The top case and its rear plate are sold separately. Each case has its own sensor light in the lid: the kit includes two, one for each side.

Alternatives for the same frames

The JP071B frames also support the WANDERER semi-rigid cases measuring 40+30 liters, if you prefer a lighter solution: we verified this compatibility ourselves, based on the 18 mm tube requirement that LOBOO specifies for those cases. If you already have the frames, you can purchase only the cases from the PIKE TRACKER series page.

Maintenance

Wash with a water jet held at least one meter away, use a neutral detergent, and dry immediately afterward. Avoid acidic or alkaline products. Note the number stamped on the key: it is needed to make a copy.

The JP071B frames at the heart of this system fit four motorcycles under a single code: the R 1200 GS from 2013, the R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014, and the R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019.

The 45+38 configuration is no compromise: the narrower right-hand case leaves room for the exhaust and keeps the motorcycle more compact in difficult passages.

The JP071B covers the R 1200 GS from 2013, the R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014, the R 1250 GS, and the R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019: four bikes with a single code.

The package also includes spacers and screws marked ADV, which are used only on Adventure models: there is no need to order a different code depending on the version. If you change bikes within the same family, the structure follows you.

On the right side of the R 1250, the exhaust silencer runs alongside the pannier. The 38-liter pannier leaves the necessary space and prevents the motorcycle from becoming too wide on that side.

On the R 1300 GS, where the geometry has changed, symmetrical configurations are available instead.

The PIKE TRACKER cases are made of high-strength aluminum alloy, with perimeter seals and keyed locks on each case.

It is the most popular series in the LOBOO range: the same case can be mounted on more than fifteen different motorcycles by changing only the frame.

The JP071B frames are included with the order and mount onto BMW’s designated mounting points, without drilling. The two finishes make no technical difference: same aluminum, same locks, same sealing. The choice is purely aesthetic.

If you prefer the semi-rigid cases in the future, the same frames support WANDERER 40+30-liter cases: you change the cases, not the structure. It’s a compatibility we verified ourselves, based on the 18 mm tube requirement that LOBOO specifies for those cases.

Assembly and notes

  • The kit includes side frames and a pair of panniers: the top case and its plate are not included.
  • Respect the maximum load per side frame indicated by BMW in the motorcycle's manual.
  • Recheck the fasteners after the first 100-200 km and periodically with off-road use.
  • The load must not cover the license plate and rear lights or extend beyond the limits of the Highway Code.

Why 45+38 and not symmetrical:on these motorcycles, the exhaust takes up space on the right side. On the R 1300 GS, with a different geometry, symmetrical configurations are available.

If you prefer semi-rigid panniers, the same frames accept the 40+30 litre WANDERER BCB4030TBK.

Why is the configuration here 45+38 rather than symmetrical?

Because the exhaust takes up space on the right side of the R 1200 and R 1250 GS, the 38-liter pannier prevents the motorcycle from becoming too wide and reduces the risk of contact with the exhaust outlet. On the R 1300 GS, where the geometry is different, symmetrical configurations are available.

Does it work on both the GS and the GS Adventure?

Yes. The JP071B frames included in this kit are compatible with the R 1200 GS, R 1200 GS Adventure, R 1250 GS, and R 1250 GS Adventure: one part number for four motorcycles.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: all LOBOO products sold on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory consumer warranty. In the event of a lack of conformity, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.
