Thanks to the bleed valve, the 66 L, even when not fully packed, does not become bulky: if you are undecided, the larger volume offers more flexibility without penalizing you on short trips.

Dentro l'imbocco c'è una banda magnetica: avvicini i due lembi e si trovano da soli, senza doverli tenere fermi con le dita. Da lì arrotoli e chiudi le fibbie laterali.

Sembra un dettaglio finché non ti tocca farlo con i guanti, sotto la pioggia, in un'area di servizio. È esattamente il momento in cui una chiusura a velcro ti fa perdere due minuti e ti bagna quello che stai caricando.

Chiuso il roll-top, dentro resta aria. Con la borsa riempita a metà questo significa un volume gonfio che le cinghie non riescono a bloccare: parte fermo e dopo qualche curva lo senti muoversi dietro la schiena.

La valvola di sfiato espelle l'aria in eccesso a borsa già sigillata. Il carico si compatta, il profilo si abbassa, il baricentro scende. È il motivo per cui puoi prendere la 66 L senza ritrovarti un pallone sulla sella nei viaggi brevi.

Il corpo è in PVC tecnico: liscio, resistente all'abrasione e allo strappo, con l'acqua che scivola via invece di essere assorbita. Non si impregna e non appesantisce, e si pulisce passandoci sopra un panno umido.

È lo stesso materiale che permette al roll-top di sigillare davvero una volta arrotolato: la tenuta dipende dalla combinazione tra tessuto e chiusura, non dal solo tessuto. Arrotola sempre per più giri completi prima di partire.

Dentro c'è un comparto separatore dedicato ai capi umidi o sporchi. Serve nel momento preciso in cui smonti da una tappa sotto l'acqua e devi riporre l'antipioggia senza bagnare il cambio pulito.

All'esterno due tasche laterali ad accesso rapido tengono a portata quello che serve durante la sosta: guanti di scorta, documenti, uno snack. Non devi aprire il roll-top ogni volta.

Quale volume scegliere tra 40, 50, 66 e 90 L?

La 40 L (53 × 27 × 28 cm, 1,96 kg) e la 50 L (58 × 29 × 30 cm, 2,21 kg) sono le misure da uso quotidiano: una notte fuori, un weekend breve, le uscite in giornata. La 66 L (64 × 31,5 × 33,5 cm, 2,40 kg) è la misura da turismo, tarata su un viaggio di cinque-sette giorni. La 90 L (64 × 39 × 36,5 cm, 2,57 kg) serve a chi parte per settimane o porta attrezzatura da campeggio.

Il criterio pratico non è quanto porti, ma quanto codone hai: serve una superficie d'appoggio pari alla base della valigia. Nota che la 90 L ha la stessa lunghezza della 66 L, 64 cm: cresce in larghezza e altezza, non in lunghezza. Se il tuo codone regge la 66 L, regge anche la 90 L.

Nel dubbio fra due misure vicine conviene la più grande: la valvola di sfiato comprime il carico, quindi da mezza vuota non diventa un ingombro inutile.

Come funziona la separazione asciutto e bagnato?

C'è un comparto interno dedicato in cui riporre capi bagnati o sporchi tenendoli separati dal resto del carico. Le doppie tasche laterali servono invece per gli oggetti a cui vuoi accedere senza aprire la valigia.

Serve un portapacchi per montarla?

No. Nella confezione ci sono due cinghie a sgancio rapido che fissano la valigia direttamente su sella, codone o portapacchi già presente. Serve però una superficie d'appoggio adeguata: 53 × 27 cm per la 40 L, 58 × 29 cm per la 50 L, 64 × 31,5 cm per la 66 L, 64 × 39 cm per la 90 L.

A cosa serve la valvola frontale?

Dopo aver arrotolato e chiuso il roll-top, dentro resta aria. Aprendo la valvola e comprimendo la valigia l'aria esce, il carico si compatta e il profilo si abbassa. È il gesto che rende utilizzabile la 66 L anche quando la riempi a metà: senza, resta un volume gonfio che si muove sulla sella.

È impermeabile anche sott'acqua?

No, ed è giusto essere precisi. LOBOO dichiara IPX6: tenuta ai getti d'acqua ad alta pressione, quindi pioggia battente, schizzi dai camion e lavaggio della moto. L'immersione, anche breve, è il gradino successivo (IPX7) e questa valigia non lo copre. Se ti serve quel livello guarda la borsa ALPS 46 L in TPU. Per l'uso normale l'IPX6 basta e avanza, a patto di arrotolare il roll-top per più giri completi.

Quanto pesa e quanto ingombra ogni misura?

40 L: 53 × 27 × 28 cm e 1,96 kg. 50 L: 58 × 29 × 30 cm e 2,21 kg. 66 L: 64 × 31,5 × 33,5 cm e 2,40 kg. 90 L: 64 × 39 × 36,5 cm e 2,57 kg. In quali colori è disponibile?

Nero, giallo e verde militare, su entrambi i volumi. Giallo e verde, insieme agli inserti rifrangenti multidirezionali, aiutano parecchio a farsi vedere da dietro nella guida notturna. Se la combinazione che cerchi risulta esaurita nel selettore scrivici: spesso rientra in poche settimane.
