Description Aluminum side cases for Ducati DesertX with racks | PIKE TRACKER 35+30 L

Complete kit for Ducati DesertX from 2023 onward: the pair of JP581B side frames plus the two PIKE TRACKER aluminum cases measuring 35 and 30 liters, in the finish you choose. One order, nothing else to match.

Why the two sides have different capacities

The right P30R case is shaped to clear the exhaust: it is deeper at the top (244 mm) than at the bottom (208 mm), which is why it holds 30 liters. The left P35L, without that restriction, holds 35 liters.

Dimensions and weights stated by LOBOO

  • Left P35L: internal 451 × 227 × 381 mm, overall 498 × 268 × 408 mm, 6 kg
  • Right P30R: internal 451 × 227/167 × 381 mm, overall 498 × 244/208 × 408 mm, 5.6 kg

The pair weighs 11.6 kg empty, excluding the frames. These measurements were taken manually, so there is some tolerance.

What is not included

The top case and the JP581W top-case plate are sold separately. Each case has its own sensor light in the lid: the kit includes two, one per side.

Alternatives for the same frames

The JP581B frames also accept the 40 + 30-liter WANDERER semi-rigid bags. If you already have the frames, you can purchase just the cases from the PIKE TRACKER series page. LOBOO cases can only be mounted on LOBOO frames.

Before ordering

LOBOO lists the DesertX from 2023 onward. The 2022 DesertX models and the Rally and Discovery versions are not mentioned: if you have one of these, contact us first. LOBOO does not state a maximum load for each case: the motorcycle's maximum load specified by Ducati applies.

For the DesertX, LOBOO offers three configurations: side cases with frames, a top case with a luggage rack, or the three-case system.

This listing is the side-case set: JP581B frames plus a pair of P35L and P30R cases.

LOBOO aluminum panniers can only be mounted on LOBOO frames, and the frames can be installed without damaging the motorcycle.

Which Ducati DesertX models is the kit compatible with?

LOBOO declares the Ducati DesertX from 2023. The 2022 DesertX models and the Rally and Discovery versions are not listed by the manufacturer: if you have one of these, write to us with the model and year before ordering.

What’s in the kit?

The pair of JP581B side frames with mounting accessories and PIKE TRACKER P35L and P30R cases, with locks and keys, in the selected finish. Top case and luggage rack are not included.

Why do the two suitcases have different capacities, 35 and 30 liters?

Because the exhaust runs along the right side. The P30R has a narrower lower section (208 mm compared with 244 mm at the top) to clear it, which is why it holds 30 liters compared with the P35L’s 35.

How much do the suitcases weigh?

6 kg for the P35L and 5.6 kg for the P30R, so 11.6 kg for the pair without accessories. The weight of the frames is not specified by the manufacturer.

How bulky are the mounted panniers?

The P35L measures 498 × 268 × 408 mm overall, while the P30R measures 498 × 244 × 408 mm at the upper section. LOBOO does not state the total width of the equipped motorcycle.

How much weight can I pack in each suitcase?

LOBOO does not specify a maximum load per suitcase. The limit to observe is the motorcycle's maximum load indicated by Ducati, which includes the rider, passenger, and luggage.

Are the suitcases waterproof?

LOBOO states that they do not let water in even when riding in heavy rain, and the lock is designed to resist water and dust. The manufacturer does not publish an IP rating.

What happens if I lose my keys?

A number is printed on the spare key. By providing it, LOBOO can supply a replacement key: write it down as soon as you receive the suitcases.

What is the difference between black and silver?

Only the finish differs: polished silver or matte black. Dimensions, weights, and included accessories are the same.

Can I add the top case later?

Yes. You need the JP581W rear luggage rack, in either the fixed or sliding version, and a 36- or 45-liter PIKE TRACKER top case. Together with this kit, they form the three-case system.

Is the sensor light included?

Yes: each suitcase has its own sensor light in the lid, so you’ll find two in the kit. The PIKE TRACKER top case has its own as well.

Can I mount soft bags on the same frames?

Yes: the JP581B frames accommodate the 40- and 30-liter WANDERER BCB40T and BCB30T semi-rigid panniers, which LOBOO pairs with the PIKE TRACKER frames.

How are the frames assembled?

With the manual included in the package. LOBOO states that its frames can be installed without damaging the motorcycle. The JP581B manual is not yet in our archive: if you have no experience, rely on a workshop.
