Top case plate for BMW R 1300 GS from 2023
Code JPT131WA. This is the mounting plate that lets you install a LOBOO top case on the R 1300 GS using the luggage rack the motorcycle already has: it attaches to the designated mounting points, with no drilling and without removing anything from the rear section. It is the shortest and least invasive of the three solutions LOBOO offers for this motorcycle.
Which top cases you can mount
The plate provides mounting points for P45T, P36T, T36T and C40T, in black and silver finishes. The P45T can hold a full-face helmet; the P36T and T36T keep the rear end more compact; the C40T is the CONQUEROR series aluminum top case. The top case is not included.
The rear load has a limit
LOBOO does not specify a maximum load for the plate itself: the limit indicated by BMW in the owner's manual for the rear subframe applies, and includes the plate, top case and contents. This is the highest and rearmost point of the load, so exceeding the limit affects stability much more than placing the same weight in the side cases.
If this is not enough
Two other solutions are available for the same motorcycle, each with its own page: the reinforced rear luggage rack, which replaces the entire standard structure and is intended for those who load the top case to its maximum capacity, and the sliding upper luggage rack, which allows you to adjust the top case position forwards and backwards.
After installation
Make sure the top case does not cover the license plate or rear lights and does not extend beyond the limits set by the Highway Code, and check the fasteners again after the first 100–200 km.
