Code LAH0710800 — DENALI code LAH.07.10800

Specific mount that allows any DENALI auxiliary light to be installed in the optimal position on BMW K 1600 GT and K 1600 GTL from 2011 to 2017. Powder-coated steel brackets with an M8 mounting hole and all the necessary hardware, weighing approximately 620 grams.

There are four different mounts in the K 1600 family, so it is worth choosing carefully: this one fits the GT and GTL models up to 2017. For motorcycles from 2018 onward, the K 1600 B and Grand America, or those that already have the original light mount, there are other solutions.

It attaches to the mounting points already provided by the manufacturer, with no drilling or modifications required.

Who is it recommended for

A chi ha una K 1600 GT o GTL dal 2011 al 2017 senza portafaretti originale, e vuole montare i faretti nella posizione prevista da DENALI.

Se la moto è dal 2018 in poi serve il supporto della nuova generazione; se ha già il portafaretti BMW basta l'adattatore, che costa molto meno; e se preferisci i faretti in posizione bassa c'è il supporto inferiore, che copre tutte le annate dal 2011 al 2025.

The K 1600 DENALI family offers four different solutions, and choosing one at random will almost certainly lead to the wrong choice. This is the right one if you have a GT or GTL from 2011 to 2017.

For motorcycles from 2018 onward, you need the new-generation mount; for the B and Grand America, the lower mount; and if your motorcycle already has the original BMW auxiliary light bracket, the adapter is all you need, and it costs much less.

Powder-coated steel brackets, with an M8 mounting hole and hardware included, weighing approximately 620 grams. On a 350-kilogram motorcycle traveling fully loaded, the rigidity of the mount matters more than the grams saved: a vibrating auxiliary light illuminates poorly and loosens the hardware.

On a K 1600, aiming should be done with the bike configured as you actually use it: with two people, full panniers, and the top case. Rear sag raises the front end, causing the lights to illuminate higher than where you set them with the bike unloaded.

The DENALI method: place the bike on level ground 7.6 meters from a wall, with a horizontal line 5 cm below the center of the lights.

I have a 2019 K 1600, will this work?

No. This mount fits the GT and GTL from 2011 to 2017. From 2018 onward, the mount for the new generation is required, which also fits the B and Grand America.

How do I choose among the four K 1600 mounts?

Start with two questions: what year is the motorcycle, and does it have the original BMW headlight bracket? If it does, you only need the adapter. If it doesn't: this bracket up to 2017, the new-generation one from 2018 onward, or the lower bracket that covers all model years from 2011 to 2025.

Which spotlights can I install on it?

Any DENALI auxiliary light: the mounting hole is M8, the standard across the entire range. On a touring motorcycle, narrower beams offer the greatest advantage because they extend your visibility on two-lane roads at night.
