The manual for this code specifies a single value: 18 N·m, for all three screw lengths listed in the parts list (M8×20, M8×25, and M8×40).It is different from the 20 N·m specified for the standard GS frames: it is worth checking the manual instead of relying on memory. A torque wrench is required and is not included.

Are fasteners and threadlocker included?

How much weight can I load on each side?

LOBOO does not declare a maximum load for these frames, so we will not give you a number that does not appear in any official document.The reference to use is the side-case limit indicated by BMW in the owner's manual for the R 1300 GS Adventure, which also takes into account the motorcycle's total permitted load.

The manual mentions a rack for three suitcases: what is it?

The manual also refers, via a separate QR code, to the Three Case Rack: this is the support that adds the mounting point for the rear top case to the two side cases. Is the assembly manual in Italian?

Yes. The LOBOO manual is published in eight languages, including Italian, with an illustrated, part-by-part bill of materials and a numbered installation view. The PDF can be downloaded from this page.

What is the shock-absorbing structure of the frames used for?

LOBOO describes it as a structure at the frame mounting points that protects the motorcycle's rear subframe in the event of a fall, keeping the luggage mounting secure. The manufacturer does not publish test results.

Can I add the top case too?

Yes. For the R 1300 GS Adventure, LOBOO offers the top case plate that mounts on the original luggage rack or the reinforced JP151WPRO rear luggage rack, each with its own page. With either one and the JP151B frames, you get the three-case system.

Is the installation reversible?

Yes. The manual does not require drilling: the original parts removed from the tail section are reinstalled at the end, and they can all be put back in place when you remove the frames.

Pair of side case racks for the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure from 2024 onward, with rear crossbar, brackets, mounting hardware, and threadlocker. This is the structure onto which the side cases attach: the cases are not included.

LOBOO calls it the PIKE TRACKER & CONQUEROR Side Case Rack, code JP151B. On the Adventure, the two cases are identical: 37+37 or 45+45 liters.

What you can mount on these racks

PIKE TRACKER aluminum cases P37 or P45, in matte black or polished silver: you can find them on the PIKE TRACKER aluminum cases page, or already paired with the racks in the side case kit for the R 1300 GS Adventure.
CONQUEROR aluminum cases with a capacity of 45+45 liters: the JP151B manual is also labeled for this series. You can find them on the CONQUEROR cases for the R 1300 GS Adventure page.
WANDERER semi-rigid bags with a capacity of 40+40 liters, which attach to 18 mm tubing: there is a WANDERER kit with racks for the R 1300 GS Adventure.

LOBOO aluminum cases can only be mounted on LOBOO racks. The reverse also applies: hard cases from other manufacturers do not fit these racks.

Does it fit the R 1300 GS without Adventure?

No. The R 1300 GS has a different rear subframe and uses the JP131B side racks for the R 1300 GS. The two codes are not interchangeable.

What is included

The manual lists 17 items: left and right racks, crossbar, two pairs of plates, left and right brackets, 18 × 8.5 × 5 mm and 15 × 8.5 × 13 mm spacers, bushings, M8 × 20, M8 × 25, and M8 × 40 screws, eight M8 washers, one wide washer, and one threadlocker.

How they are installed

Eighteen illustrated steps, with no drilling required. Remove the seat, original luggage rack, and some tail section parts; install the plates and brackets; secure the two racks to the motorcycle's mounting points; and complete the system with the crossbar. Once finished, the original parts are put back in place.

All M8 screws must be tightened to 18 N·m: this differs from the 20 N·m specified for the racks for the R 1300 GS. LOBOO asks you not to fully tighten them immediately: make all adjustments first, then tighten to the specified torque in sequence. Reinstall the removed original parts according to BMW's instructions.

Shock-absorbing structure and nine-point attachment

At the mounting points, LOBOO states that it uses a shock-absorbing structure, designed to protect the motorcycle's subframe in the event of a fall while keeping the cases securely attached. The aluminum cases and racks connect using the nine-point quick-attachment system, covered by utility model patent ZL 2017 2 0624675.2.

Before ordering

With the short LOBOO exhaust, LOBOO also recommends the CPQ131 exhaust deflector, sold separately, which directs gases away from the cases. If you are not sure which exhaust you have, contact us before ordering.

Top case and three-case system

For a top case on the Adventure, LOBOO offers two solutions: the top case plate for the original luggage rack and the reinforced rear luggage rack JP151WPRO. With either one and the JP151B racks, you get a three-case system.

The JP151B manual does not state the material, weight, or maximum load per side: we do not specify them. All other accessories for the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure are in the dedicated collection.

Which code for which motorcycle

In the LOBOO table, the R 1300 GS and the R 1300 GS Adventure have different side frames: the JP151B is used on the Adventure. The sliding luggage rack is intended only for the GS. LOBOO aluminum cases can only be mounted on LOBOO frames, without damaging the motorcycle.

Shock-absorbing structure at the attachment points

LOBOO states that the frame mounting points feature a shock-absorbing structure: it protects the motorcycle subframe in the event of a fall and keeps the luggage firmly attached.

Patented nine-point attachment

Panniers and frames connect at nine points, without vibrations even after prolonged use. LOBOO states that in a fall or slide, the panniers remain in place, while in a strong frontal impact they detach. Utility model patent ZL 2017 2 0624675.2.

Which side cases can I mount?

The aluminum PIKE TRACKER in the P37 + P37 or P45 + P45 configurations, the 45 + 45-liter aluminum CONQUEROR cases, the 40 + 40-liter semi-rigid WANDERER cases, and the inflatable ALPS bags.

The cases are not included and must be purchased separately, or they can already be paired with the racks in the dedicated kits.

Are suitcases included in the price?

No: this page sells the pair of frames, which is the part dedicated to the motorcycle. The cases are selected separately, which is why the frame only needs to be installed once: you can change the type of case in the future without redoing the work.

If you prefer to buy everything together, Endurrad also offers the kit with frames and matching semi-rigid cases.

What changes compared with the frames for the R 1300 GS?

Geometry: the JP151B is sized for the rear subframe of the R 1300 GS Adventure, while the JP131B is sized for that of the R 1300 GS. The tightening torque also differs: 18 N·m here versus 20 N·m for the JP131B.

The compatible cases are the same: both manuals are labeled for the PIKE TRACKER and CONQUEROR series.

I have the R 1300 GS Adventure with the short exhaust: is anything else needed?

Yes. LOBOO documentation indicates that installing the racks with the short exhaust also requires the CPQ131 exhaust deflector, sold on a separate page.

What is the frame made of, and how many pieces does it consist of?

The frame arrives in two halves, left and right, joined by a crossbar. The parts list contains seventeen items: in addition to the two halves and the crossbar, there are two pairs of plates, left and right brackets, spacers and bushings, M8 screws in three lengths, eight M8 washers, one wide washer, and threadlocker.

Do you need to drill into or modify the motorcycle?

The manual does not indicate any drilling: the frame is secured to the anchoring points already present on the motorcycle, after removing the original components specified in the assembly steps. The modification is reversible.
