The BHG-069 is the specific mounting kit for BMW G 310 GS and G 310 R: a heat-treated aluminum bar, clamps, and hardware. It is the frame only, without plastics.

Le istruzioni ufficiali INS-BHG-069-NP sono allegate a questa scheda.

  1. Verifica modello e anno: G 310 GS dal 2017, G 310 R dal 2016.
  2. Rimuovi i paramani originali, se presenti, e i contrappesi.
  3. Monta il morsetto sulla sezione dritta del manubrio, senza serrare a fondo.
  4. Fissa la barra in alluminio all estremità del manubrio e al morsetto, poi portala in posizione.
  5. Monta le plastiche che hai scelto, allinea tutto e serra.
  6. Verifica il funzionamento di gas, freno anteriore, frizione e interruttore di arresto, e che lo sterzo giri liberamente da fondo a fondo. Ricontrolla il serraggio dopo i primi 50 km.

The G 310 GS is an adventure road bike, while the G 310 R is a naked bike, but they share the same handlebar: the manufacturer lists the same part number for both. Only the launch years differ, as the R was released in 2016 and the GS in 2017.

Which motorcycles does it fit?

On two BMW models: the G 310 GS from 2017 and the G 310 R from 2016. They are different years because the R was released first.

Does the same kit fit the GS and the R?

Yes. The manufacturer lists the same code for both: although one is an adventure bike and the other a naked bike, they share the same handlebar.

Are the protective plastic parts included?

No. The BHG-069 is the mounting frame only: aluminum bars, clamps, and hardware. The plastic components are selected and purchased separately.

What plastics can I install on it?

Four series: JET with a compact profile, VPS with an adjustable deflector, STORM with extended coverage, and CARBON in fiber. EGO plastics are not compatible.

On a 310, aren't they oversized?

It's a legitimate question, and the practical answer is no. A bent lever costs the same on a 310 as on a 1250, and on a bike that's often a first motorcycle or used in the city, the risk of a stationary fall or a knock in a parking lot is actually higher. If you're looking for the most discreet profile, the JET plastics are the most compact in the range.

Does it protect the lever in a fall?

Yes. It has two attachment points, and the manufacturer states that heat treatment of the aluminum is intended to add strength and protection against impacts.

Do I need to remove the original counterweights?

The structure attaches to the end of the handlebar, so the original bar-end weights must be removed. The official instructions attached to the product page show the correct sequence.

What finish does it have?

Natural aluminum. The official code is BHG-069-NP, and the manufacturer does not offer a black-painted version of this kit.

My model is listed, but the year isn’t: will it still fit?

We never broaden the year range by inference: if yours is not among those listed, write to us with the chassis number and we will verify it before ordering.

I installed an aftermarket handlebar: does it fit the same way?

The manufacturer declares compatibility with motorcycles in their original factory configuration. On an aftermarket handlebar, the diameter and geometry change, so the fitment must be checked on a case-by-case basis before purchase.

What will I find in the package?

The two aluminum bars, clamps, and mounting hardware. No protective plastic.

Can I change the plastics later?

Yes, and it’s the principle behind the entire Barkbusters range: the structure stays, while the plastics can be changed. You can install the JET handguards in summer and switch to the STORM handguards in winter without touching the bars.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
