All you need to know before ordering
Technical specifications, equipment, delivery, and warranty: find every detail, verified against official LOBOO documentation, below.
The LOBOO CDBH151 Headlight Protector is the version designed for the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure from 2024 onward. It is not the same as the standard GS version: the Adventure’s front end has its own design and mounting points, and the protector is shaped accordingly.
Magnetic opening: clean the headlight in thirty seconds
The frame remains attached to the motorcycle, while the lens lifts thanks to a magnetic opening and closing system. No tools, no screws to retrieve from the gravel: open it, clean the headlight surface and the inside of the screen, then close it again.
On an Adventure, this matters twice as much. It is the motorcycle for long-distance trips and trails, the one that collects insects and dust faster than any other GS—and if cleaning the protector requires the tool bag, you simply will not do it.
Polycarbonate, more stable than acrylic
The lens is made of polycarbonate, a material LOBOO chooses precisely because it withstands harsh riding conditions better than acrylic: acrylic costs less but cracks when hit by stones, while polycarbonate absorbs the impact. It is the same material used for helmet visors.
Light transmission is high and distortion is minimal, so the headlight beam remains close to the original: on a motorcycle designed to cover miles even at night, that is not a minor detail.
Reinforced metal brackets
Mounting is handled by reinforced metal brackets, which keep the screen firmly in place and eliminate high-speed vibrations. It mounts to the motorcycle’s existing mounting points, with no drilling or cutting: the installation is completely reversible.
Three finishes
- Clear — light output closest to the original, with an almost invisible protector.
- Light Grey — smoked effect, a more technical appearance, with a limited reduction in light.
- Chrome — mirror finish, the most striking option and the one that filters the most light.
When it is not the right product
If you have the standard R 1300 GS, this protector will not fit: you need the CDBH131, which is listed on a separate page. And if you are looking for a metal grille for extreme enduro riding, you will not find it here: this is a clear screen for road, gravel, and touring use, not a rock guard.
