The LC8 twin grows to 1,350 cc and adopts CAMSHIFT variable valve timing: more low-end torque and more power at the top end. The S is the road version with a traditional gearbox and clutch, a 19-inch front wheel and WP semi-active suspension; front radar is optional. The dedicated catalog is only now taking shape.

- You want to equip it immediately with protection and hard luggage: dedicated engine guards, luggage racks and auxiliary-light brackets do not exist yet
- You plan to reuse 1290 accessories: no manufacturer has declared them compatible with the 1390 yet

- You do demanding off-road riding: that’s the R version

In two words: it’s the most up-to-date large adventure bike for touring in the range, but its accessory catalog is still being written. If you want to install everything right away, the 1290 Super Adventure S does the same job with a mature accessory selection; if you need radar and automated shifting, look at the 1390 Super Adventure S EVO; if off-road riding is the priority, choose the 1390 Super Adventure R.
What we know today
The 1390 Super Adventure replaces the 1290 at the top of KTM's range. The main technical innovation is CAMSHIFT variable valve timing on the 1,350 cc LC8 twin-cylinder engine, which broadens the power delivery range without compromising low revs: 173 hp and 145 Nm.
On this page, we publish only verified data. We will add the S's kerb weight and seat height once they are confirmed by the official documentation: we prefer an incomplete specification sheet to an incorrect one, because accessories are chosen based on the numbers.
Declared accessories and what fits today
First, the only accessory declared by the manufacturer for the 1390 S; then those that do not depend on the bike's anchor points and work right away.

Do the 1290 accessories fit the 1390?
As of today, no manufacturer has listed them for the 1390, so we do not recommend the luggage racks, auxiliary light brackets, or headlight guard from the 1290. Universal accessories and those listed for the 1390, such as the Kaoko cruise control, will fit.
Which accessories are already listed for the 1390 S?
The Kaoko mechanical cruise control for the original handguards, listed for the 2025 1390 Super Adventure S. Other dedicated part numbers will arrive as manufacturers release them.
What is the difference between the S, S EVO, and R?
The S has a conventional gearbox, a 19-inch wheel, and semi-active suspension, with radar available as an option. The S EVO adds radar and an AMT automated gearbox as standard. The R has a 21-inch wheel and long-travel WP Xplor suspension. Specific accessories are not automatically interchangeable.
Can I install the auxiliary lights without dedicated brackets?
Yes, with universal auxiliary lights and DENALI tube clamps, choosing the clamp based on the diameter of the tube on which you mount them. Dedicated brackets for the 1390 do not exist yet.
Is it worth waiting before outfitting it?
For guards and hard luggage, yes. For cruise control, a rear strap-on bag, and a USB socket, no: they are accessories you install today and that remain useful afterward.
