What we know today

The 1390 Super Adventure replaces the 1290 at the top of KTM's range. The main technical innovation is CAMSHIFT variable valve timing on the LC8 twin-cylinder engine, which broadens the power delivery range without sacrificing low-end performance.

On this page, we publish only verified data. We will add kerb weight and seat height for the final versions once they are confirmed by the official documentation: we prefer an incomplete listing to an incorrect one, because accessories are chosen based on the numbers.

What is already fitted today

On a newly released motorcycle, anything that does not depend on the frame's mounting points works.

Frequently asked questions

Do the 1290 accessories fit the 1390?

Only universal ones. The subframe, bodywork, and mounts have changed, so pannier racks, auxiliary-light brackets, and headlight protection developed for the 1290 are not listed as compatible with this motorcycle.

When will dedicated skid plates and racks arrive?

As manufacturers release the codes developed for the 1390. For a newly launched motorcycle, this takes months. Write to us with the accessory you’re interested in and we’ll notify you as soon as it’s available.

S or R: which one do I have?

The S has a 19-inch front wheel, semi-active suspension, and road-oriented setup. The R has a 21-inch wheel, long-travel suspension, and a skid plate as standard. The specific accessories are not interchangeable between the two.

Why doesn’t the product page list the weight and seat height?

Because we publish only verified figures. As soon as the official documentation is finalized, we will complete the product page: accessories are chosen based on the data, and an incorrect number leads to the wrong purchase.

Is it worth waiting before fitting it out?

For guards and hard luggage, yes. For soft bags, mirrors, and a USB socket, no: these are accessories you install today and that remain useful afterward.
