Pair of DL4 auxiliary lights: 6,800 lumens, 333 metres of range and 64 metres of width, with 64 W and just 5.4 A of total draw. This pair fits virtually any motorcycle, both in terms of size — 76 mm square housing, 545 grams each — and electrical-system load.

Oversized TIR optics produce a hybrid beam that reaches far while remaining wide. With the clear-lens version, the beam is ECE R149 approved as a primary or auxiliary high beam.

DrySeal sealing rated IP68 and IP69K, 4 mm painted steel brackets, and vibration resistance of 21 grms. Three-wire DT DataDim connector, plug and play with DENALI wiring harnesses, DialDim and CANsmart.

The beam colour — white, amber or selective yellow — is selected at purchase: in the DL series, the lenses are not interchangeable.

How does it work, in detail?

Two compact spotlights: 333 meters of range with just 5.4 amps.

The 76 mm square that fits everywhere

Square body measuring 76 mm per side, 51 mm deep, and weighing 545 grams. It is small enough to serve as the main auxiliary light on a midsize motorcycle, and compact enough to fit beneath the fender of a large adventure bike, where larger lights won’t fit.

3,400 lumens and a 250-meter range

Four Cree LEDs driven at 8 W behind oversized TIR optics: the hybrid beam reaches 250 meters while remaining 48 meters wide. Used as a pair, they reach 333 meters and 64 meters wide, with a total draw of just 5.4 A.

ECE R149 approved, with a clear lens

The hybrid beam is ECE R149 certified for road use as a main or supplementary high beam in the European Union. Compliance applies only to the white version: amber and selective yellow are intended for fog, dust, and off-road use.

Montaggio e requisiti

Come si monta

Istruzioni complete e note di sicurezza

Attrezzi e viteria. Ogni faretto della coppia ha la sua viteria M8: vite a testa esagonale da 20 mm, rondella, dado autobloccante nyloc e cappuccio copridado, più il codino di cablaggio. Bastano una chiave da 13 mm e una brugola da 4 mm.

Collegamenti. Ogni codino ha tre fili: rosso positivo, nero massa, giallo il segnale di dimmerazione. È il filo giallo che permette a un controller DENALI di gestire la doppia intensità con la tecnologia DataDim.

Coppie di serraggio. DENALI indica 18 Nm per la viteria M8 e consiglia frenafiletti a media resistenza su tutta la bulloneria. Ricontrolla il serraggio dopo i primi 50 km.

Dove montarli. Più in alto stanno i faretti, più lontano arriva il fascio di notte; più in basso, più aumenta la visibilità di giorno. L'allestimento completo mette una coppia a lunga portata in alto e una coppia a fascio largo in basso.

Puntamento del fascio. Metti la moto in piano con una persona in sella, a 7,6 metri da una parete verticale. Misura l'altezza da terra del centro dei faretti e traccia sulla parete una riga orizzontale 5 cm più in basso. Allenta le viti di fissaggio e della cerniera, porta il centro di ogni fascio sulla riga tenendo i due faretti simmetrici rispetto all'asse della moto, poi richiudi. Se non hai spazio puoi lavorare a 1,8 metri, con la riga 1,3 cm più in basso.

Attenzione al cablaggio. Prima di chiudere tutto, gira il manubrio a fondo da entrambi i lati e comprimi la forcella: i cavi non devono mai andare in tensione.

Il fascio ibrido del DL4 è certificato ECE R149 per l'uso stradale come abbagliante principale o supplementare nell'Unione Europea. La certificazione vale solo per la versione con lente bianca: ambra e giallo selettivo non sono conformi come abbagliante su strada. Compatibilità elettromagnetica R10, CISPR 25, CE e UKCA.

I fari supplementari vanno montati in numero pari e simmetrici rispetto all'asse della moto: verifica le prescrizioni del codice della strada del Paese in cui circoli.

DENALI riconosce 5 anni di garanzia convenzionale del produttore, che si aggiunge ai 24 mesi di garanzia legale di conformità.

A chi allestisce una moto di piccola o media cilindrata e vuole una coppia di faretti proporzionata, oppure a chi ha un'adventure grande e cerca la seconda coppia da montare in basso. È anche la scelta più prudente su impianti elettrici già impegnati.

Se la moto è grande e lo spazio non manca, la coppia DL6 fa il 50% di luce in più con lo stesso profilo basso.

What’s the difference between DL4 and DL6?

The DL6 produces 50% more light and reaches 305 meters compared with 250, but it is wider: 114 mm compared with 76. The DL4 is square and compact, so it works well as the main auxiliary light on small and mid-sized motorcycles and as a lower additional light on large adventure bikes. If you have the space, the DL6 delivers more.

Can it be mounted underneath, on the fender, or on the guards?

Yes, it is one of the uses for which DENALI recommends it: weighing 545 grams and measuring 76 mm per side, it is also suitable for low mounts on large-displacement adventure bikes, where an additional beam near the wheel is needed without adding unsprung mass.

Is the yellow or amber lens approved?

No. ECE R149 approval as a high beam applies only to the version with a clear lens. Amber and selective yellow are not compliant for road use as high beams; they are chosen for fog, dust, and off-road use. The color is selected at purchase; the lenses in the DL series are not interchangeable.

What is the difference between the DL series and the D series?

The DL series is the newest and most affordable line: one-piece TIR optics and a robotically sealed housing reduce production costs without compromising the LED or optics. It does not have the interchangeable lenses of the D series—the beam color is selected at purchase—but in return it offers more lumens per euro and an IP68/IP69K rating instead of IP67.
