21-inch wheel and standard crash bars: the 1390 for off-road riding
Same engine as the S, the 1,350 cc LC8 twin-cylinder with CAMSHIFT variable valve timing, but with off-road chassis: 48 mm WP Xplor fork and WP Xplor PDS shock with 220 mm of travel, 21- and 18-inch spoked wheels, revised bodywork, lower windscreen and more protective crash bars. The dedicated catalog is only now taking shape.

- You like having crash bars fitted at the factory, without buying them separately
- You want the most up-to-date engine in the range: 173 hp and 145 Nm with CAMSHIFT variable valve timing
- You travel light, with soft luggage that handles falls better off-road than hard cases
Look elsewhere if
- You want to equip it right away: dedicated luggage racks and auxiliary-light brackets have not been released yet
- You plan to reuse the 1290 R accessories: no manufacturer has declared them compatible with the 1390 yet
- You mainly ride on motorways: the setup and 21-inch wheel are designed for a different use, and the S is the right version
- You cannot get both feet firmly on the ground: an 880 mm seat height is a lot even for tall riders
- You are looking for a motorcycle that is easy to maneuver by hand or load onto a van by yourself
In two words: it is the most modern maxi enduro in the range, with the crash bars already sorted but the rest of the catalog still to be written. If you want the same use while being able to fit everything right away, the 1290 Super Adventure R has a mature accessory range; if off-road riding is the priority and weight is the problem, the 890 Adventure R remains the more manageable choice.
What we know today
The 1390 Super Adventure R is the off-road version of KTM's new flagship. Compared with the S, the wheels, suspension and bodywork change, while the engine is the same: 173 hp at 9,500 rpm and 145 Nm at 8,000 rpm. 23-litre tank, Brembo brakes with Stylema calipers, 8-inch TFT touchscreen instrumentation.
As with the S, we publish only verified data: an 880 mm seat height, 220 mm of travel on both wheels, and 21/18 spoked wheels are the figures declared for 2025. We will add the kerb weight when it is confirmed by the official documentation.
Declared accessories and what already fits today
First, the only accessory declared by the manufacturer for the 1390 R; then those that do not depend on the motorcycle's anchor points and work right away. With the standard crash bars, universal auxiliary lights and horns already have somewhere to attach.

No, the 1390 R comes with crash bars as standard, and they offer more protection than on the previous generation. They are also the most practical place to attach universal auxiliary lights and horns with tube clamps.

Do the 1290 R accessories fit the 1390 R?

880 mm, the declared figure for the 2025 1390 Super Adventure R. It is the tallest version in the range: if you cannot easily reach the ground, consider the S.
