Dedicated bracket for the installation of auxiliary lights, for BMW R1300GS.

All you need to know before ordering

Technical specifications, equipment, delivery, and warranty: find every detail, verified against official LOBOO documentation, below.

Description LOBOO CDJ131A Spotlight Brackets for BMW R 1300 GS | 2 pieces, for LOBOO crash bars

The front end of the R 1300 GS is carefully designed, and a universal bracket makes it look bulky. The LOBOO CDJ131A auxiliary light mounts are designed to do the opposite: measuring 33.4 × 31 × 30.5 mm and weighing 46 g each, they are sized to stay behind the light housing rather than in front of the bike.

They attach to the mounting provision on the LOBOO crash bar for the R 1300 GS: this is the anchoring point they were designed for, so the engine guard must already be installed. With an original BMW engine guard or one from another brand, it is advisable to confirm compatibility before purchasing.

According to LOBOO, the drawback of compact mounts is that they lock the light in a fixed position. Here, the tilt angle is adjustable: the light can be rotated upward or downward, directing the beam where needed. This should be checked in the dark, with the motorcycle loaded as you actually use it, and repeated if you change the lights.

The alloy is high-strength aluminum with an anodized finish, claimed to resist fading and corrosion. The package contains two mounts, one for each side, without hardware: the hardware from the provision on the crash bar and that supplied with the lights are used.

The manufacturer is explicit about compatibility: it is designed for the frame of the R 1300 GS from 2023 onward, with a note correcting an error in the manual. Lights and wiring are not included; they appear in the images for demonstration purposes.

Why choose it
  • Minimal profile:33.4 x 31 x 30.5 mm, sized to disappear behind the spotlight body.
  • Only 46 g:negligible weight on the motorcycle's front end.
  • High-strength aluminum alloy:the small size is a design choice, not a material saving.
  • Preserved aesthetics:the R 1300 GS's designed front end is not burdened by universal brackets.
Who is it recommended for

Mounting requirement: The mounts attach to the engine guards. If you don't have them yet, you can find LOBOO engine guards for the R 1300 GS on Endurrad.

Lights not included: This item is the pair of brackets only. The lights appear in the images for demonstration purposes.

Compatibility: BMW R 1300 GS from 2023 and R 1300 GS Adventure from 2024.

  • Spotlights and wiring not included.

How does it work, in detail?

Forty-six grams that disappear behind the spotlight

Forty-six grams that disappear behind the spotlight

The front end of the R 1300 GS is carefully designed, and a universal bracket makes it look bulky. The CDJ131A measures 33.4 × 31 × 30.5 mm and weighs 46 g: LOBOO presents it as an ultra-compact solution designed to remain behind the spotlight housing.

High-strength aluminum alloy: the dimensions are reduced by design, not to save material.

It attaches to the LOBOO crash bar mounting point

It attaches to the LOBOO crash bar mounting point

This is the first thing to check before ordering: the CDJ131A is designed for the mounting provision on the LOBOO crash bar for the R 1300 GS. It is not a universal bracket to clamp onto just any tube.

If you do not have the engine guard yet, Endurrad offers the LOBOO CHG131 crash bar specifically designed for the R 1300 GS. If you have an original BMW engine guard or one from another brand, contact us before ordering.

Raise or lower the beam after installation

The drawback of compact mounts, LOBOO writes, is that they lock the spotlight in a fixed position. Here, the tilt angle is adjustable: the spotlight rotates upward or downward until the beam illuminates where needed.

This check should be done in the dark, not in the garage, and repeated if you change the spotlights or load the motorcycle for a trip.

Anodized to stay outdoors year-round

Anodized to stay outdoors year-round

The manufacturer states that the anodized finish resists fading and corrosion caused by sunlight, rain, and road grime.

With the spotlights removed, a minimalist black bracket remains, preserving the motorcycle’s lines.

This item is the support only: the spotlights shown in the images are for demonstration purposes and must be purchased separately.

The same rule always applies to the electrical connection: use a relay with a dedicated fuse, never tap into an existing circuit.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Which motorcycle is the CDJ131A compatible with?

For the BMW R 1300 GS from 2023 onward. LOBOO is explicit on this point: the mount is designed for the 1300’s frame, and the official product sheet adds a note correcting an error in the manual.

Is it also suitable for the R 1300 GS Adventure?

LOBOO’s official documentation lists only the R 1300 GS from 2023 onward and does not mention the Adventure. We prefer not to claim compatibility that the manufacturer does not confirm: if you have a GS Adventure, contact us before ordering and we’ll check it together.

Where is the mount attached?

Regarding the provision on the LOBOO crash bar for the BMW R 1300 GS: that is where the mount finds its anchoring point. Without an engine guard, there is nowhere to install it, and for an original BMW engine guard or one from another brand, it is best to ask us for confirmation before purchasing.

Can the spotlight’s angle be adjusted?

Yes, on the vertical axis: the spotlight tilts upward or downward, allowing you to aim the beam where it is needed rather than where the mount blocks it. This should be checked in the dark, not in the garage.

Can it also be adjusted to the right and left?

LOBOO specifies adjustment of the tilt angle only, upward and downward. Lateral orientation depends on the spotlight and its mount, not on the bracket.

Are the spotlights included?

No: this item is the bracket only. Auxiliary spotlights, wiring, and any control units must be purchased separately. They are shown in the images for demonstration purposes only.

How many pieces are in the package?

Two brackets, one per side, without mounting hardware. The 46 g stated by the manufacturer is the weight of a single bracket.

Is the mounting hardware included?

No: the package contains the two mounts without screws. Use the hardware from the preparation on the crash bar and the hardware supplied with the lights. If you have any doubts about the measurements, write to us before ordering.

What are the dimensions of the stand?

33.4 × 31 × 30.5 mm, with Ø 6.5 and Ø 8.1 mm holes, for 46 g per bracket. These are the dimensions published by LOBOO: compare them with the mounting of the spotlight you chose before ordering.

What material is it made of, and how is it finished?

High-strength aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish. LOBOO states that the finish is resistant to fading and corrosion caused by sun, rain, and road grime; however, it does not specify the alloy designation or the thickness of the anodized layer.

Can it really support a spotlight weighing just 46 grams?

Yes, and 46 g is the weight of a single mount. It is a compact piece made of high-strength aluminum alloy, measuring 33.4 × 31 × 30.5 mm, sized for auxiliary spotlights rather than large projectors: its lightness comes from its small dimensions, not from inferior material.

Can it be seen with the motorcycle stationary?

Almost no, and that is why it exists. The R 1300 GS has a highly sculpted front end, and universal brackets make it look visually heavier: LOBOO sized the CDJ131A to stay behind the light body and preserve the clean original line.

What kind of spotlights can I install on it?

Compact auxiliary lights, with a mount compatible with Ø 6.5 mm and Ø 8.1 mm holes. LOBOO specifies that the bracket is designed for auxiliary lights, not large spotlights, and does not publish a list of approved models: check the mounting points and dimensions of the light you choose.
