Description KTM 1290 Super Adventure R/S Side Cases
Complete kit for KTM 1290 Super Adventure from 2022, R and S versions: a pair of JP251B side racks with mounting hardware, plus two PIKE TRACKER aluminum panniers with capacities of 45 and 38 liters, in the selected finish. One order, nothing else to match.
Why 45 liters on the left and 38 on the right
The exhaust runs along the right side of the 1290. The right pannier holds 38 liters instead of 45 because it is shaped around the exhaust outlet, with a recessed lower wall: this is the version LOBOO calls exhaust avoidance. On an already imposing motorcycle, keeping the width down on one side makes a real difference when maneuvering and in traffic.
How much it holds and how much it can weigh
83 liters in total, 45 on the left and 38 on the right. LOBOO specifies a maximum load of 10 kg per side pannier: volume is not the only limit to keep in mind when loading.
Construction
- High-strength aluminum, with lower corners protected by structural plastic bumpers
- Key lock with a five-wafer cylinder, removable and replaceable without changing the pannier
- Scratch-resistant inner lining and 3M reflective inserts on the outer side
- Finishes: polished silver or matte black, with the same construction
LOBOO states that the series is water- and dust-resistant, but does not publish an IP rating: we do not report one because it is not data certified by the manufacturer.
What is not included
The top case and its JP251W mounting plate are sold separately: the two systems are complementary, so the plate can also be added later without changing anything already installed. The LR06 LED light with sensor is supplied by LOBOO only with the three-pannier set, so it is not included in this kit.
Alternatives for the same racks
The JP251B racks also support the 40+30-liter WANDERER semi-rigid panniers, if you prefer a lighter solution: we verified this compatibility ourselves, based on the 18 mm tube requirement LOBOO specifies for those panniers. If you already have the racks, you can purchase only the panniers from the PIKE TRACKER series page. LOBOO panniers can only be mounted on LOBOO racks, however: they are not interchangeable with mounts from other brands.
Maintenance
Wash with a water jet kept at least one meter away, use a neutral detergent, and dry immediately afterward. Avoid acidic or alkaline products. Write down the number stamped on the key: it is needed to make a copy.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS
