Everything you need to know before ordering

Technical specifications, equipment, delivery, and warranty: below you’ll find every detail verified against the official DENALI documentation.

Description ECE R19-approved motorcycle LED fog light, 2,800 lumens, 90 mm, D3

Code DNLD3051 — DENALI code DNL.D3.051

90 mm LED fog light with 2,800 lumens and dual approval: SAE/DOT J583 and ECE R19. It is rare in this category because almost all auxiliary lights seen on motorcycles are driving lights, not compliant fog lights.

The asymmetric optics are designed to reach the maximum permitted candela in every regulated zone: they spread 91 meters wide in front of the motorcycle with a clean horizontal cutoff, illuminating the road surface and edges without reflecting glare back into your face in fog. Four 11 W Cree XP-P LEDs, 9–32 V power supply, 3-wire DataDim dimming, IP67 waterproof housing.

Approval notice: valid only with the clear lens fitted as standard. The amber and selective yellow lenses, sold separately, are not approved.

Sold individually. The range figures declared by DENALI — 137 meters × 91 — are measured using a pair of lights.

Why choose it

  • Alimentazione 9-32 V e dimmerazione DataDim a 3 fili.
Who is it recommended for

Documents and manufacturer

How does it work, in detail?

  • Asymmetrical optics designed at the limit of the permitted candela in each regulated zone.
Fog light approved in Europe and North America

Fog light approved in Europe and North America

It’s rare: this fog light complies with both SAE/DOT J583 and ECE R19, the two standards governing fog lights. The asymmetric optics are designed to reach the maximum permitted candela in each regulated zone, so there’s plenty of light while remaining below the cutoff line.

A wide beam, with a clean cut

A wide beam, with a clean cut

In fog, rain, or snow, the problem isn’t the amount of light—it’s the glare reflecting back into your face. The D3 fog light casts a 91-meter-wide beam in front of the motorcycle with a clean horizontal cutoff: it illuminates the asphalt and the edges, not the wall of fog in front of you.

90 mm, the standard drain fitting size

90 mm, the standard drain fitting size

The 90 mm housing is no coincidence: it is the standard size for original fog-light recesses on many vehicles. Four 11 W Cree XP-P LEDs, 40 W total, 9–32 V power supply, a watertight DrySeal IP67 housing, and a polycarbonate bezel that does not corrode.

FAQs

For more information, see our FAQ of frequently asked questions.

Does the approval also apply to yellow or amber lenses?

No. SAE/DOT J583 and ECE R19 approval applies only with the standard transparent lens installed. Amber and selective-yellow lenses are not approved: they may be used off-road or as daytime running lights, but they invalidate the fog light’s road approval.

What’s the difference compared with the D3 with a guide beam?

Same 90 mm housing, different optics and different certification. This is the fog light: a wide beam, sharp cutoff, 2,800 lumens, ECE R19 approved. The other is a driving light with spot and hybrid lenses, 2,100 lumens, ECE R112 approved as a driving beam. One is for when visibility is poor; the other is for driving fast in the dark.

What's in the package?

A D3 fog light with a clear lens installed, a hinged bracket with stainless steel M8 hardware, and a wiring pigtail. The bracket specific to your motorcycle and the controller are selected separately.

Do the flow rate values apply to one spotlight or two?

DENALI states a range of 137 meters and a width of 91 meters at 1 lux, measured with a pair of mounted auxiliary lights. This product is sold individually: with a single auxiliary light, the values are lower.
