Description D4 motorcycle LED auxiliary light, 4,380 lumens, hybrid flood and spot beam

Code DNLD4050 — DENALI code DNL.D4.050

Single 4,380-lumen LED auxiliary light with a hybrid lens installed as standard: two wide-beam elliptical optics for close range and two focused-beam optics for distance, all in the same housing. It illuminates the roadside in corners and reaches far ahead on straight roads, without needing to install two different lights.

Four 10 W Cree XPL HI LEDs in a square housing measuring 99 mm per side and 66 mm deep: it fits where a 112 mm light cannot. IP67 watertight housing, LiveActive thermal management, and an E-Mark-approved spot lens. DataDim technology adds dual intensity controlled by the original high beams.

Sold individually, with a clear hybrid lens installed. Amber and selective-yellow lenses, the specific mount for your motorcycle, and the controller are sold separately.

Why choose it

Who is it recommended for

Documents and manufacturer

How does it work, in detail?

  • Four Cree LEDs and a hybrid lens that combines a wide beam and a focused beam in the same housing.
A hybrid beam: wide up close, long-range far away

A hybrid beam: wide up close, long-range far away

The standard lens is hybrid: two wide-beam elliptical optics for near-field vision and two focused-beam optics for long-range vision, all within the same housing. On bends, you see the roadside; on straight sections, you see far ahead, without having to install two different lights.

4,380 lumens from a 99 mm body

4,380 lumens from a 99 mm body

Four 10 W Cree XPL HI LEDs in a square housing measuring 99 mm per side and 66 mm deep, weighing 700 grams. It is the best compromise in the D series between light output and size on the motorcycle.

Double the intensity without cutting the system

Double the intensity without cutting the system

With DataDim technology, you connect a DENALI controller and the auxiliary light switches from half to full power using the original high-beam control. The DrySeal IP67 watertight housing and LiveActive thermal management prevent light output from decreasing after the first few minutes.

FAQs

For more information, see our FAQ of frequently asked questions.

What is the difference between the D4 and the D7?

The D7 produces almost twice the lumens and reaches much farther, but it has a pure spot beam and is larger. The D4 has a hybrid beam, so it also illuminates the area up close and the road edges, and takes up less space: 99 mm versus 112. If the motorcycle has limited space or you ride frequently on narrow roads, the D4 is more useful.

Can I change the lens color?

Yes. The light comes with the clear hybrid lens installed; the amber and selective-yellow lenses for the D4 are purchased separately and can be replaced without removing the light from the motorcycle.

Does it need a controller to work?

No, it also works with single-intensity wiring. The controller is needed if you want dual intensity from the high-beam switch (DataDim), continuous adjustment (DialDim), or full integration with the motorcycle’s controls (CANsmart).

Can I assemble just one?

Yes, this product is sold individually. However, for road use, auxiliary headlights must be mounted in even numbers and symmetrically with respect to the motorcycle’s centerline: check what is required by the road traffic regulations of the country where you ride.
