Description LOBOO CGTBH151BK cylinder head protectors for BMW R 1300 GS and Adventure
The LOBOO CGTBH151BK cylinder-head protector is not added to the motorcycle: it replaces the original lower protective plate on the BMW R 1300 GS. Remove the stock plate and install this one in its place, using the same mounting holes. The difference lies in the material: 4 mm of aluminum alloy compared with the 2 mm of the BMW plate—exactly twice as thick.
Why two extra millimeters make a difference
On the boxer engine, the cylinder heads are the motorcycle's most protruding parts: in a stationary or low-speed fall, they are the first point to touch the ground, even before the bodywork. With a flat plate, doubling the thickness does not merely double its resistance to bending—it increases it by much more, which is why this replacement part exists.
The plate alone, however, is not enough. If it were bolted on rigidly, it would transmit the impact directly to the cylinder head—the very component it is meant to protect.
How the dual damping system works
Rubber buffers are housed in the mounting holes, while a silicone shock-absorbing block works beneath the plate. The two elements have different jobs: the buffers isolate normal engine vibrations, while the block absorbs impact energy. This is what LOBOO calls a dual-damping design.
The blocks are made of nylon and silicone and can be replaced individually. They are the sacrificial part of the system: they work by deforming, and when they are worn, they can be replaced without touching the plate. On a component designed to take impacts, that is the difference between maintenance and replacement.

What to check before ordering
LOBOO states this explicitly: this product is intended solely to replace the original lower protective plate. If your motorcycle does not have one, or already has a replacement from another brand, installation is not предусмотрed. It takes thirty seconds to check with the motorcycle on its stand, and this is the most likely reason for a return with this item: if in doubt, send us a photo of the area beneath the cylinder heads.
The holes are based on the vehicle's original design data, so they match the stock mounting points: no drilling, enlarging, or modification is required. A single code covers both the GS and the GS Adventure because they use the same engine and the cylinder heads are in the same position.
Usage limitations
This is not an approved safety device and does not replace careful riding. Engine guards cover a different area—the motorcycle's perimeter—and remain a separate purchase: if you already have aftermarket guards installed, send us the model and we will check that the brackets do not interfere. Keep the original plate you remove: you may need it when reselling the motorcycle or for warranty work.

Artificial Intelligence comes to motorcycles: real revolution or mere marketing?
"AI-enhanced", "smart", "neural": the lexicon of artificial intelligence is now everywhere in motorcycle marketing. But how much AI is really on today's motorcycles? Between Bosch radar, machine learning, patents, and shipwrecked promises, an investigation that separates real technology from slogans — with a reliability index for each claim.
