Yamaha accessoriesmodel by model

From the Ténéré 700 to the MT-09, from the Tracer 9 to the WR enduro bikes: Yamaha's catalogue covers different worlds. The point to clarify before buying is the relationship between models that share the same engine - MT-07, Tracer 7 and XSR 700 are built around the same twin-cylinder engine, but they do not fit the same accessories.

The same engine does not mean the same accessories

MT-07, Tracer 7 and XSR 700 share the CP2 twin-cylinder engine, just as MT-09, Tracer 9 and XSR 900 share the CP3 three-cylinder engine. But the frame, tank and bodywork differ from one model to another, and so do pannier frames, engine guards and films. What almost always carries over are grips, mirrors and electrical accessories.

What changes between one Yamaha and another

The Yamaha family is built around two engines: the 689 cc twin-cylinder CP2, which powers the MT-07, Tracer 7, XSR 700 and Ténéré 700, and the 890 cc three-cylinder CP3 in the MT-09 and Tracer 9. Sharing an engine does not mean sharing mounting points, however: the Ténéré 700 has a frame, tank and suspension that are completely different from those of the MT-07, and no protection accessory fits both.

The relationship really matters between models with the same bodywork: many MT-07 product codes work on the Tracer 7, and several MT-09 accessories can also be found on the Tracer 9. Even in these cases, however, luggage racks and fairings remain model-specific.

For the previous-generation naked bikes - FZ 1, FZ 1 N and FZ 8 - the catalog focuses on engine protection and license plate holders, and some product codes are shared by several models in the FZ family.

Frequently asked questions

Do MT-07 accessories fit the Ténéré 700?

No, when it comes to protection, luggage racks and engine guards: the two bikes share only the engine, while the frame and bodywork are different. Universal accessories such as tank bags and mirrors will fit.

And between the MT-07 and Tracer 7?

Many product codes do, because the Tracer 7 is based on the MT-07 with a fairing and adapted suspension. Luggage racks and films are still model-specific: always check the manufacturer's product code.

Which Yamaha is easiest to equip?

The MT-09, with sixty accessories in the catalog, followed by the Ténéré 700 with thirty-seven. They are also the two models for which manufacturers have developed the most dedicated product codes.

Do you offer accessories for the WR enduro bikes?

We cover the WR 250F and WR 450F with a basic catalog designed for those who also use them on the road. For competition preparations, it's best to contact us with the model and year.
