Triumph Tiger 800: specifications, XR and XC versions, compatible accessories
The middleweight that paved the way for the Tiger 900, and remains a bargain used
Three-cylinder 800 cc engine, road-focused XR and off-road XC versions: the Tiger 800 was Triumph's middleweight for ten years before making way for the 900. Our catalogue for it covers ergonomics, lighting and hand protection: two cruise controls, DENALI auxiliary-light and horn mounts, a handguard kit shared with the Explorer, and tank decals.

Who it's recommended for
It's the right bike if
- You're looking for an affordable used middleweight touring bike: ten years of production mean plenty of choice
- You like the three-cylinder engine: strong power delivery and a sound unlike any twin-cylinder engine
- You want the right version for your use: road-focused XR, XC with a 21-inch wheel for off-road riding
- You take long trips and are interested in mechanical cruise control, which is available here in two versions
- Handguards, lighting and grip are enough for you: this is the catalogue
Look elsewhere if
- You need pannier racks or crash bars from us: they are not in the catalogue for this model
- You want a recent bike: it has been discontinued since 2021 and the Tiger 900 has a much wider range of accessories
- You're looking for updated electronics, especially on the early model years
- You order cruise control without checking the handguards: there are two codes and they are not interchangeable
- You have the 2025 Tiger 800 Sport, which is a completely different bike: for now, the catalogue only includes the fairing film
In short: this is the used Triumph middleweight to buy and keep simple. If you want the same setup with available pannier racks, a centre-stand plate and risers, the Tiger 900 is its direct successor; if you're looking for the flagship from the same era, the Tiger Explorer 1200 shares the handguards and cruise control.

Kaoko cruise control, with original handguardsFor Tiger 800 and XC models from 2011 to 2017 fitted with the stock handguards, and for the Explorer XCx. If the original handguards are not present, the other code is required: it changes the handlebar end. - 3
Auxiliary light brackets, XC 2010-2014They attach to the mounting points instead of using zip ties: no vibration and stable aiming. - 4
SoundBomb horn mountThe SoundBomb is bulky and does not fit in the original horn's position: this bracket gives it a place without drilling. There is also the version shared with the Tiger 900. - 5
Tank anti-slip stickers, 2015-2021They improve knee grip when standing on the foot pegs and protect the sides of the tank from jacket zippers. - 6
Instrument protection, 2012-2016Code shared with the Tiger 1200 Explorer: rigid dashboard film, which is expensive to replace on a used motorcycle.
The catalog also includes the fairing protection film for the 2025 Tiger 800 Sport, which despite the name is a completely different motorcycle from this one: no other code on this page fits it. For luggage, there are the Wanderer semi-rigid panniers, which do not require a frame, the aluminum top case, tank bags with a mounting ring, folding mirrors, and the waterproof motorcycle cover.

Frequently asked questions
Which Kaoko cruise control is needed?
It depends on the handguards. There is one code for the 2011-2017 Tiger 800 and XC models with original handguards, and another for those without them. The part bolts onto the handlebar end, and the attachment is different with OEM handguards.
Do you have luggage racks or crash bars for the Tiger 800?
No, these accessories are not cataloged for this model. Our range covers handguards, lighting, tank grip, dashboard film, and cruise control. The luggage remains the strap-mounted soft luggage.
Is the 2025 Tiger 800 Sport the same motorcycle?
No, it is a completely different model, introduced after the Tiger 900. For now, the catalog only includes the fairing protective film; the other codes on this page do not apply.
Do the Tiger 800 accessories fit the Tiger 900?
Only the SoundBomb horn mount, which is available in a version specified for both. Handguards, stickers, auxiliary light mounts, and cruise control have different codes.
XR or XC: does anything change with the accessories?
For the auxiliary light mounts, yes, because the ones in the catalog are specified for the 2010-2014 XC. Handguards, tank stickers, cruise control, and dashboard film fit both families.
