What carries over from one V-Strom to another

Little about the structure, quite a lot about the rest. The LOBOO CJC411 center stand plate is listed together for the V-Strom 1050, V-Strom 1000, GSX-S 1000F, GSX-S 750, Katana, GSR 750, and Burgman 400; the 800 DE has its own, the CJC421. One of the Kaoko cruise controls fits the DL650, DL1000, and DL1050 alike, provided they have the original handguards and stock handlebar.

What remains tied to the individual model is stickers and films, cut to fit the shape of the tank and bodywork, and Barkbusters handguard kits, which follow the handlebar: on the 1050, they even differ between the XT and DE versions.

Is the Kaoko cruise control suitable for my V-Strom?

It depends on two things: whether you have the original handguards and whether you have heated grips, because this changes the handlebar end where it is mounted. There are four distinct versions for the 650, and one of them also fits the DL1000 and DL1050. The 800 DE has a dedicated part number.
