The LOBOO Wanderer Semi-Rigid Panniers fit only dedicated LOBOO side frames, and for the BMW R 1300 GS the correct code is JP131B - not the one for the GS Adventure. This kit includes everything: two 40 L panniers, two 20 L waterproof bags, and the JP131B frames. One order, a verified match, 120 liters in total.

Why the configuration is 40+40

The frame dedicated to the R 1300 GS allows two identical panniers without interfering with the exhaust. The load remains balanced on both sides, and the motorcycle handles more neutrally at full load, which does not happen with an asymmetrical configuration.

Compatibility

The JP131B frame manual specifies BMW R 1300 GS from 2023 onward. It is not compatible with the R 1300 GS Adventure, which has different geometry and requires JP151B frames: there is a WANDERER kit for the R 1300 GS Adventure. It does not fit the original BMW frames. If you are not sure which version you have, contact us before ordering.

Installation

No drilling required. The frame manual calls for removing the seat and replacing the passenger footpeg brackets with those included in the kit, then securing the frames and the crossbar behind the license plate: reversible operations, with the supplied hardware and threadlocker. The package contains 22 components for the frames. LOBOO recommends not fully tightening during assembly, but first checking alignment, clearances, and symmetry, and only then tightening in sequence to 12 N·m on the M6 bolts and 20 N·m on the M8 bolts. All manuals are available in eight languages, including Italian, and can be downloaded from this page.

The JP131B manual does not specify the material. We prefer to say so rather than guess: if you need the exact information, contact us and we will verify it with the distributor.

Mounting the Wanderer cases requires dedicated LOBOO side frames, and choosing the wrong code is easier than it seems: the R 1300 GS and the R 1300 GS Adventure have different geometries and different frames, JP131B versus JP151B. This kit has already made the choice for you.

In a single order, you get the two 40 L cases, the two 20 L waterproof bags, and the JP131B frames designed for the R 1300 GS rear subframe. No need to cross-check different pages, and no returns because of the wrong frame.

The rack designed for the R 1300 GS accommodates two identical 40 L cases without interference from the exhaust. The load is balanced on both sides, providing more neutral cornering behavior and no asymmetry to compensate for when the motorcycle is fully loaded.

With the two included 20 L waterproof bags, the total capacity reaches 120 L.

LOBOO JP131B side frames are designed around the geometry of the R 1300 GS rear subframe. The 18 mm tube is the size that the adjustable quick-release mount for the Wanderer cases is designed to fit: the cases can be attached and removed by hand.

The same frames also accommodate PIKE TRACKER and CONQUEROR aluminum cases, so you can change your luggage type in the future without redoing the installation.

Lockable closure and MOLLE panels

Each case has a barrel lock on the upper strap. The cylinder can be keyed alike to the same key as LOBOO aluminum cases: if you want them keyed alike, request this when placing your order and specify the key number.

The exterior panels feature MOLLE webbing, also compatible with attachments from other brands: pouches, bottle holders, and accessories can be mounted without drilling or modifying the cases.

If you have the R 1300 GS Adventure, the correct version is the kit with dedicated Adventure racks: the geometries are not interchangeable.

Are the side frames included in the price?

Yes. The kit includes the LOBOO JP131B side frames designed for the BMW R 1300 GS, as well as two 40 L cases and two 20 L waterproof bags. You don't need to purchase anything else to mount the cases.

Do they fit the original BMW pannier racks for the R 1300 GS?

No. You need the dedicated Loboo side frames for the R 1300 GS, designed for quick attachment of the Wanderer cases and the new geometry of the rear subframe.

Why is the configuration 40 L + 40 L and not 40 L + 30 L?

On the R 1300 GS, the dedicated JP131B side frame enables a symmetrical 40/40 configuration without interference with the exhaust. The result is 120 L in total, including the two 20 L bags, with a balanced load on both sides.

Are the two 40 L suitcases identical?

They have the same capacity, but they are not the same item: according to the manual, they are two distinct codes, one for the left side and one for the right side, with mirrored mounting hardware. The kit already includes the correct pair.

If I already have the frames, can I buy just the cases?

Yes. The frame is specific to the motorcycle, but the cases are not: WANDERER cases attach to any frame with an 18 mm diameter tube. On Endurrad, you can also find the cases alone, without frames.

Can I mount aluminum cases on the same racks?

Yes. The JP131B manual is for the PIKE TRACKER and CONQUEROR series, so the LOBOO aluminum cases also fit the same frames. The ALPS inflatable bags fit too.
