All you need to know before ordering

Technical specifications, equipment, delivery, and warranty: find every detail, verified against official LOBOO documentation, below.

Description LOBOO BTB06 – Vintage 3,5 L Magnetic Tank Bag

The LOBOO BTB06 is a 3.5-liter tank bag made of 12-ounce cotton canvas with PU leather inserts, designed for classic, scrambler, roadster, and naked motorcycles, where a bag with a technical aesthetic would clash with the bike’s lines. It fits a wallet, keys, documents, glasses, an action camera, and cables.

Attachment is exclusively magnetic and works only on ferrous metal tanks: on plastic or aluminum tanks, which are common on modern adventure motorcycles, the magnets will not hold. No adapter rings or straps are needed: place the bag down, open the two side flaps on the base and lay them over the tank, while the raised silicone base limits movement caused by vibrations.

Key features

  • 3.5 liters — dimensions 250 × 190 × 100 mm, excluding the side flaps on the base
  • Instant magnetic attachment, with no rings or tools required
  • Raised, non-slip silicone base, gentle on the paintwork
  • Water-resistant inner pocket with a waterproof lining and heat-sealed tape over the seams
  • Cable pass-through for the charging cable: your phone stays connected while you ride
  • Document pocket for your license and keys
  • 12-ounce cotton canvas with PU leather inserts and a webbing handle

What it does NOT do

  • It does not mount on plastic or aluminum tanks: for those cases, you need the LOBOO adapter-ring range (BTB05, BTB10, BTB12, BTB15)
  • LOBOO does not state any IP rating: the bag is not certified waterproof; the dedicated inner pocket is
  • Before purchasing, check that the base fits the shape of your tank: this is LOBOO’s official recommendation

Full technical specifications, fitting instructions, delivery, and warranty details are provided below.

Why choose it
  • Classic aesthetic:12 oz cotton canvas and quilted PU leather panel, for classic, scrambler, roadster, and naked motorcycles where a technical bag would look out of place.
  • Instant mounting:Integrated magnets in the base, no rings to install, and no tools required.
  • Embossed silicone bottom:Soft on paint and with a texture that limits movement from vibration.
  • Internal rain pocket:Waterproof lining and heat-sealed tape on seams, for phone and power bank.
  • Charging cable pass-through:The power bank stays inside, the cable exits through the dedicated hole, and the phone remains connected while riding.
Who is it recommended for

It's the right choice if:

  • You have a motorcycle with a steel tank: classic, scrambler, roadster or naked
  • 3.5 L is enough for your daily commute and short rides
  • You want to attach and detach it in one swift motion, without modifying anything on your motorcycle
  • You don't want to alter the look of your vehicle with a technical-looking bag

It's not the right choice if your tank is plastic or aluminum, like on most modern adventure bikes: the magnets won't hold. In that case, check out the LOBOO tank ring adapter range — BTB05, BTB10, BTB15 and BTB12 — or if you need more than 3.5 liters for a multi-day trip.

Documents and manufacturer

Before purchase

LOBOO recommends checking that the bottom of the bag fits the shape of your tank: an unstable base can cause the bag to fall while riding. Test with a magnet to ensure the tank is ferrous metal and simulate a 250 × 190 mm footprint on the tank before ordering.

Assembly and use

  • Clean the tank and the bottom of the bag every time you attach it: trapped dust and sand are the most common cause of scratches.
  • Fully open the two side flaps at the bottom and adhere them to the tank before setting off.
  • Magnets only work on ferrous metal tanks: not on plastic or aluminum.
  • Do not drag the bag sideways to remove it: lift it from one corner.
  • In heavy rain, store your phone and documents in the internal waterproof pocket: LOBOO does not declare any IP rating for the bag as a whole.
  • Keep magnetic cards, mechanical watches, and devices sensitive to magnetic fields away from the bag.

How does it work, in detail?

Vintage design, intended for classic motorcycles

Vintage design, intended for classic motorcycles

Dark cotton canvas, a quilted PU leather top panel, bronze-colored zipper, and a brass LOBOO badge: the BTB06 is designed for classic, scrambler, roadster, and naked motorcycles, where a technical-looking bag would detract from the bike’s lines.

Three and a half liters in a compact package that, on the tank, looks more like a vintage accessory than luggage.

Magnetic attachment, without rings or tools

Magnetic attachment, without rings or tools

The magnets are embedded in the base plate and the two side flaps. There is nothing to install on the motorcycle: no adapter ring around the cap, no straps to adjust, and no screws. The bag simply sits in place and stays there.

The system works only on tanks made of ferrous metal. Before ordering, perform the refrigerator magnet test: if it sticks to the tank, you're all set.

Silicone base: the bag doesn’t walk away

Silicone base: the bag doesn’t walk away

Under the magnets is a layer of soft silicone with a raised texture. It serves two purposes: it resists movement caused by vibrations and provides a soft surface between the bag and the paint.

Before each installation, wipe the tank and the base: the magnets don’t cause scratches—the trapped grain of sand does, acting like sandpaper with the vibrations. To remove it, lift the bag from one corner instead of dragging it sideways.

Water-resistant internal pocket for electronics

Water-resistant internal pocket for electronics

Inside the bag, there is a separate compartment with a waterproof lining and heat-sealed seam tape, closed with an elastic drawstring. It’s where your phone, power bank, and documents go when the sky opens up.

To be clear: the protection applies to this pocket, not to the bag as a whole. LOBOO does not claim any IP rating for the BTB06, and the package does not include an external rain cover.

A pocket for your license, keys, and documents

A pocket for your license, keys, and documents

A flat pocket separate from the main compartment, accessible without emptying everything out. It fits your driver’s license, registration, cards, and house keys: the things you need when the bike is stationary and don’t want to search for blindly with your gloves on.

Cable grommet: the phone remains connected

Cable grommet: the phone remains connected

A dedicated opening lets the data cable out without forcing you to leave the zipper partly open. The logic is simple: the power bank stays inside, protected, while your phone remains on the handlebar mount with navigation active and its battery level staying steady.

Cable, charger, and power bank are not included.

12-ounce cotton canvas and PU leather inserts

12-ounce cotton canvas and PU leather inserts

The body is made of 12-ounce cotton canvas: a heavy weight typically used for work jackets, with a tight weave that withstands abrasion and time outdoors. The upper panels and side finishes are made of PU leather.

Composition declared by the manufacturer: 52% nylon, 27% EVA, 11% cotton, 10% polyurethane. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; do not use solvents or a washing machine.

The exact dimensions: 250 × 190 × 100 mm

The exact dimensions: 250 × 190 × 100 mm

250 mm long, 190 mm wide, 100 mm high, with a capacity of 3.5 liters. These measurements were taken manually by the manufacturer, so they should be read with a tolerance of a few millimeters. Most importantly, they exclude the side flaps of the base: when you open them, the contact area on the tank becomes wider.

The quickest way to check whether it fits your motorcycle is to mark a 25-by-19-centimeter rectangle on the tank with masking tape and see whether it sits flat, the filler cap remains accessible, and the handlebars do not touch it when turned.

How does it fit on the motorcycle?

How does it fit on the motorcycle?

The low profile keeps the bag below your line of sight: it doesn’t obstruct the instruments or interfere with arm movement. On motorcycles with a rounded tank, such as classic and scrambler models, the side flaps follow the curve instead of bridging across it.

Always open them fully and press them firmly into place before setting off: this is the condition the manufacturer requires for full grip.

From Sunday rides to the daily commute

From Sunday rides to the daily commute

Three and a half liters is the size for a short ride: wallet, keys, documents, phone, a power bank, sunglasses in their case, a pair of summer gloves, an action camera with a few accessories.

It won't fit a helmet or a full rain suit, and it's not the right capacity for a trip lasting several days: for that, you need a bag of 10 liters or more. When you get off the motorcycle, you can detach it in one motion and carry it by the side handle.

Before ordering, check the fit.

Before ordering, check the fit.

LOBOO expressly asks customers to make sure the bottom of the bag conforms to the shape of the tank before purchasing: an unstable fit may cause the bag to come loose while riding, and the manufacturer places the risk on the purchaser.

Two checks, two minutes. The refrigerator magnet must stay attached to the tank, and at multiple points, because on some motorcycles the central panel is sheet metal while the sides are plastic covers. Then use a 25-by-19-centimeter rectangle of masking tape to check the required space. If you're unsure, contact us before ordering.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Which tanks do the magnets stick to?

Only on metal tanks. On plastic tanks, which are common on many modern adventure bikes, magnetic mounting does not work; in that case, you need a strap- or ring-mounted bag.

How can I tell if my tank is made of metal?

The test takes ten seconds: place a refrigerator magnet on the tank. If it sticks, the sheet metal is ferrous and the magnets will work. If it slides off, the tank is plastic or aluminum, and this model isn't for you. Test several spots: on some motorcycles, the center panel is metal while the sides are plastic covers.

What are the dimensions, and how do I know if it will fit my tank?

The bag measures 250 × 190 × 100 mm, excluding the lateral bottom flaps: when you open them, the contact area on the tank becomes wider. LOBOO explicitly recommends checking before purchase that the base fits the shape of your tank. A practical method: mark a 25 × 19 cm rectangle on the tank with masking tape and check that it sits flat without interfering with the cap or touching the handlebar when the steering is turned.

Does the magnetic mount hold up at high speeds?

Magnets are the only retention system provided by LOBOO for this model; no additional safety strap is included. For a secure hold, you must fully open the two side flaps on the base and press them against the tank before setting off, as specified by the manufacturer. The textured silicone base limits movement caused by vibrations. On highways and uneven roads, check the bag’s position during stops.

Do magnets damage the tank’s paint?

The magnets are embedded in the base and never directly touch the paint: a layer of soft silicone lies between them and the tank. The real cause of scratches is not the magnet but dust: a grain of sand trapped between the base and the paint acts like sandpaper under vibration. Wipe the tank and the bottom of the bag every time you mount it, and do not drag it sideways to remove it—lift it from one corner.

Is it waterproof?

LOBOO does not declare any IP rating for this model, so we cannot describe it as waterproof. The manufacturer documents an independent internal rainproof pocket with a waterproof coating and heat-sealed seams, designed for a phone, power bank, and documents. In heavy rain, put your electronics in there. An external rain cover is not included.

Is an adapter ring required, as with the other LOBOO tank bags?

No, and this is the main difference compared with the rest of the range. The BTB05, BTB10, BTB12, and BTB15 attach to an adapter ring that must be screwed around the fuel tank cap; the BTB06 does not. Here, the magnets work directly on the sheet metal, so you don't need to buy or install anything. Endurrad tank rings are not needed and are not compatible with this model.

Is it suitable for a modern adventure motorcycle?

Generally, no. Most recent adventure bikes have a plastic tank or plastic fairings over the tank, so the magnets won’t hold. The BTB06 is designed for classic, scrambler, roadster, and naked bikes with a sheet-metal tank. If your bike has a plastic tank, the right choice is the LOBOO adapter-ring range: BTB05, BTB10, BTB12, or BTB15, depending on the capacity you need.

How much can 3.5 liters really hold?

It’s the format for short rides and commuting: wallet, keys, documents, phone, a power bank, sunglasses in their case, a pair of lightweight summer gloves, an action camera with a few accessories. It won’t fit a helmet or a full rain suit, and it’s not the right capacity for a trip lasting several days: for that, you need a bag of 10 liters or more.

Can I charge my phone while driving?

Yes: the bag has a dedicated cable pass-through, a hole through which to route the data cable. The idea is to keep the power bank inside the bag, in the rainproof pocket, and the phone outside on the handlebar mount. The cable and charger are not included.

Can it be carried by hand when I get off the motorcycle?

Yes, with the webbing handle on the side. LOBOO does not document a removable shoulder strap for this model, so consider it suitable for carrying by hand over short distances—from the parking lot to the café—not as an all-day shoulder bag.

What’s in the package?

The LOBOO original-packaging BTB06 tank bag. The mounting system is integrated into the base, so there are no mounting accessories to assemble. Not included: external rain cover, additional straps, adapter rings, charging cables.

How is it cleaned and stored?

The fabric and PU leather can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap; do not use solvents or a washing machine. Rinse the silicone base occasionally to remove any dust that settles on it. Store it flat and do not place it on steel surfaces, so the magnets do not attract metal filings that could end up between the base and the paint.
